Magnolia Cafe

The first time my friend Pete brought me here I thought, «Oh, geez; a place full of lady shoppers». We were (and usually are) the only men in the place — but those of my gender are missing a bet. This is a great place for lunch (soon dinner, I hear). Their signature sandwich, the «Hot Magnolia» is smoked turkey and cheese and… ohmigawd! Just wonderful. And they have apple pie (a la mode, of course) that is the best I’ve ever tasted (and I’ve eaten a LOT of apple pie. Reasonable prices, great, attentive young servers — You won’t be disappointed.
Oh, and friend Pete says, the tomato basil soup deserves an Oscar (if they only gave those out for soup…)
They are currently remodeling to be open for dinner and have wine and beer soon.

Magnolia has alot of good things going for it, but definitely room for improvement.
I personally love their chicken salad above ALL others which is the main reason i visit, and the sandwich is great. the queso dip and a couple of their wraps are good… nothing to write home about though.
I would give 5 stars to their ice cream, but its Greenwood’s ice cream – they just sell it. so that rating would go to them, not magnolia!

Magnolia’s is a nice ‘down home’ little restaurant located in the Historic Downtown Roswell. For the most part they have salads, soups and sandwiches. Everything tastes more homemade than typical. I think everything is fresh there everyday. I love their Chicken Poblano soup. Those peppers make me dizzy :-D
