Yes, the owner is nice if you seen the past reviews. My gf and I live really close to this place. The garlic fish is just to die for. And other dishes for low price and huge quantities. I would rather go here than any other chain hawaiian restaurant. THANKS: D

There is something terribly endearing about mom and pop stores, and those who think they can do everything. There’s a myriad of cuisines served here: Chinese, Hawaiian, Vietnamese, etc. I’ll just call it «Asian.» Food is fantastically affordable here, and the wait is not bad at all. Unfortunately, my meat was a little fatty but hey. it made me more tasty =) good for when you feel like getting Asian comfort food with a little extra flavor. However, things seem to be rough here. Business is a little difficult because they’re on an obscure corner on San Gabriel Blvd. and Potrero Grande. I believe the restaurant is owned by an old Asian couple who also operate another branch, and the little old lady will keep you company and amused until your food is ready to go. I believe more people need to give them a try — more Hawaiian food for everyone!

There are few places that would make me want to get in my car and drive to the opposite side of town to satisfy a craving, but Aloha Grill does just that. It may have been the family style service or it may have been the juicy chicken that makes me salivate just thinking about it. Either way, the experience is never complete without their signature carrot cake, even if carrot cake is not a local Hawaiian favorite, it does happen to be mine. DO I love their Chicken Teriyaki and macaroni salad? yes Do I feel like home each time I go? yes I do hope to see loco-moco on the menu soon though.JS.just sayin’ All this talk about Hawaiian BBQ has me getting a little hungry. It’s roadtrip time!

Wow, this is kinda like a Chinese Hawaiian fast food place. They offer several specials. It is pretty close to the 60, but I think there are better places if you are driving by. The macaroni sald was what really through me off. If you do eat here, I would suggest not ordering it. It could have been that I was there on a bad day. In any regards, I doubt I would eat here again.

My kalua pork was really fatty and bland. I really didnt like my food. The worker/owner was nice though. So I kinda feel bad giving this place 2 stars. But I am keeping it real… so I am standing by my review 2 stars! Aloha Grill is not yummylicious!

Had someone(who I have no prior experience with recommendations) tell me this place had really good food in the area. It happens to be a couple of doors down from my dry cleaners so it was already on my radar. I had a craving for some saimin while at work so I decided to give it a try. After I walked in, I noticed saimin wasn’t on the menu. OK, let’s try their loco moco. Bzzz! Not on the menu. Hmm, what do they have? Oooh, garlic shrimp… just like Giovanni’s on the North Shore? Ordered the shrimp/short rib plate. What the f is this? Chinese takeout style battered shrimp and paper thin cuts of short rib with a bland mac salad. The sign above the door may say«Aloha Grill» but it might as well be called«Panda, Wok, or Fortune(fill in the blank)». Don’t be fooled by this place’s name! Go down the street to Bachans or Shakas for menu items that reflect what you would expect to be served.

This place is alright. It’s close to home and serves decent tasting food. They give a huge quantity of food for the price … too bad it’s nothing special to take it over the top.

I think this place is better than most of the hawaiian food I’ve had. Yes. It’s basic, and the ambiance leaves something to be desired, but the food I think tastes great! The grilled chicken plate was good and flavorful, and too much for me to eat in one helping(which is something to say considering how much I eat). Their hot sauce is delicious, with just the right amount of vinegar to really make the chicken and mac salad blend well together, but you know what’s really great about this place? Their chicken Wings! I eat these every time I come! They used to be 1.99 for 6 pieces, but not they’re 2.69. That being said, I’ve never received less than eight of them in my order(maybe they can’t count??) and they are always absolutely fresh and delicious wings Wokked like salt and pepper wings in the chinese restaurant with chilies, scallions and garlic! Mmmm… I just finished my second meal from there in the past week, and I will be back for more!

If you don’t care about the taste or quality but prefer cheap and quantity then this is the place for you. They have been open for about 3 weeks now and is there 2nd store(1st is in upland). The lady(owner) was really nice. Best deal: Is probably the Healthy Meal which is $ 7 for beef, ribs, and chicken on a bed of salad. It is unusual for everyone I eat with to say they don’t like a place, but it happened here. Pot Stickers($ 4) greater than BBQ Chicken($ 6) greater than BBQ Beef($ 7) greater than BBQ Ribs($ 7) Someone got the Garlic fish($ 5) which was kind of soggy fried style which we don’t like. Everything was huge amount of food though, so if you like lots, then it should work for you. I probably won’t be back but I wish the best of luck to them.
