Come here from time to time just because I get tired of the same old Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, a Ramen, etc places. So last week I came here late in the afternoon and got one Combo and chicken Mitsubi. One the chicken Mitsubi was dried and way over cooked. Took it back to them and they gave me another one without question. That’s good service.

Worst service ever!!! Placed a small catering BBQ Chicken to be pickup at 4PM. Got there at 3:50PM and all the staffs was like lost. where is the order the cashier asked and the staff was like… what’s order? Then the cashier told me that they still have 10 minutes before 4PM with a smile. Idiots!!! Someone drop the BALL!!!

Was craving for a quick meal of hawaiian bbq so I came here. Food taste average. Price is higher than L&L hawaiian bbq. Plenty of parking. This place seems to always be busy when I come for dinner. Service was average.

You can’t you go wrong with the chicken teriyaki plate. So I order that with the beef which is the pick two special that come with a side salad. When I got my order I ate a few pieces to realizes no no beef in my meal. I kindly told the cashiers and she was like you are right you only have chicken. Right away she had the kitchen make a side order of the beef. I wasn’t a big fan of the beef. It felt like some very low quality burnt meat. Other than that I enjoyed my meal and the great service provided by the cashier.

This place is awesome considering that its a fast food restaurant. It is reasonably priced and the food is pretty good. I really LOVE the chicken katsu here! I’ve been coming here for Hawaiian food for awhile now and I can’t emphasize enough on the chicken katsu. It has a nice crunchy bite to it and it is not dry but JUICY! I got #44 which comes with chicken katsu, BBQ beef and chicken. I paid $ 9.80 after tax which is not bad since there was A LOT of food(it could probably feed 2).

I love this place but I wish they would remind ppl about the BBQ sauce. Like ask hey, would U like some sauce? I was in a rush and they did not even give me complementary sauce. Wackness. Other than that. Katsu chicken and BBQ ribs rock.

Just want to share my experience at Ono’s today, which was horrible and made me regret going there. So I ordered A3, the Hawaiian Chicken combo which comes with white rice, salad and of course the chicken. I placed my order and a minute later it was ready(place wasn’t really busy at the time). I was ready to dig in until I opened the box realizing there was no chicken. I wanted to double check before bringing it back to the cashier(Kelly), I checked under the salad and rice and the chicken is nowhere to be found. I took my order back exactly how I got it, and told the cashier the situation. And her first response was ‘Are you sure? I checked the box and there was chicken in it’ And I told her I got the order a minute or so ago and it did not come with chicken. And she kept insisting that I was lying about it and didn’t want to give my meat… Then she turned around to the cook and spoke in Spanish about it, and I guess the cook said that he forgot and added for it. I was really frustrated and embarrassed because there was customer around me and the cashier accused me to ‘stealing’ the meat before double checking it with the cook first and lied about checking the box so you can see how careless their customer service is. Overall, it was a bad experience and I wouldn’t return. The customer service is ridiculous.

Cant go wrong with bbq chicken plate. Filling… Delicious… Reasonably priced… Close enough to eat often yet far enough to not wear this place out. The smell of this place alone satisfies my craving and then opening the container full of heavenly manna simply spoils me. Love how they have smaller portions for my son(since i dont share). He absolutely loves this chicken as well. The est way to eat is to take a bite of chicken then rice then macaroni. Honestly wouldn’t mind if they sprinkled crack to make this chicken deliciois.

What can I say?! The best! During my trip to LA with my fiancé to visit his hometown, he took me to this Hawaiian BBQ place that was his spot when living here. It’s so good and such a great fast food place. I fell in love with the macaroni salad! You must have this as one of your sides. My plate consisted of the BBQ chicken on a bed of cabbage, rice, and macaroni salad we visited this place about two times during our week trip. If you’re in town for the first time, you must try this place out!

For fast food this place is good. It is just a fast-food chain version of the Japanese/Hawaiian BBQ joint. Grilled chicken with teriyaki sauce, white rice, and macaroni salad. B-mans up in Arcadia does it much better, as does Kuishimbo in Koreatown. But if you aren’t there, and are in a hurry, this place will do.

Dinner on Saturday, 6÷27÷15 Walked in for a quick dinner and first thing I noticed was the AC. Nice and cool especially on a hot summer day. Service was quick so the cashiers at the front were ready to take our order. Food didn’t take too long. Drinks and condiments are located next to the cashiers. Everything was convenient and ready. The portions were pretty big. I would definitely share one order. There’s more meat than there is rice in a box. The teriyaki sauce they provide is delicious. We ordered the combination plate that comes with chicken and beef but I’d definitely come back again to try the beef short ribs plate. Great place for Hawaiian BBQ without the wait. Generous portions and decent price.

I have decided that Ono Hawaiian BBQ is better than Shakas. Ono’s has larger portions, and better flavor. Plus, with coupons, the price is pretty decent. I tried the fire chicken, which has tasty sauce. I wish my meal came with macaroni salad, because Hawaiian style macaroni salad is delicious. Also, the Spam Masubi comes with two pieces. Not bad.

I have been to couple of Hawaiian restaurants like Ohana, L&L, etc. Overall my wife and I enjoy Ono bbq Hawaiian I don’t know why I think their served better Hawaiian bbq from the others Restaurants. My wife order the Katsu chicken and myself I order the chicken and meat mix. I pick our food I can smell the armora from the food. I open the my container. My meal looks really good. I took a bite of Katsu chicken and bbq chicken so many flavors in the Katsu chicken and bbq chicken and beef and the sides. My wife and I enjoy the food at Ono bbq Hawaiian I know they already open Ono bbq Hawaiian restaurant in Monterey Park just near our home we probably come more to Ono bbq Hawaiian in Monterey Park.

Ono Hawaiian BBQ hits the spot. I remember when I first discovered this place… I instantly fell in love with their katsu chicken! It’s actually the only thing I’ll order because it tastes so good! This Ono is located in a large plaza, right next to Starbucks and Game Stop. Parking usually isn’t that difficult to find, but at times you’ll have to drive around a couple of times. The employees were friendly and patient. The restaurant was clean, all condiments were available and neatly organized. After ordering, the food was ready in a short time! The food tasted good. I like chicken katsu. Soo crispy! The sauce is a must! It brings this combo to another level… also get some hot sauce and mix it with the katsu sauce. The macaroni is good too! The whole meal is great. Will be back for more!

Jesus this place is bad. It’s one and a half stars but I’ll be kind and round up to the nearest number. The good? Mac salad and the rice. The ok? Kalbi. The bad? Just about everything else. First off the place is filthy. Every time I come here(which is more than I’d like to admit) the lobby is filthy. The floor is inevitably sticky. The tables all have crud on them, and the people at the counter only act busy behind said counter. There is no pride in this place or their work. I once came in to pick up a phone order, assuming my order was the one hanging out behind the counter, I paid for my order and asked if the bags behind the counter was in fact my order and was told no. Twenty minutes go by, I ask the register girl to check on my order because instead of asking me why I’ve been standing next to the counter for 20 minutes, they just stare at me blankly — she looks into the bag again and turns around and says it is in fact my order. Last night I ordered some kalua pig and what I got was kalua chunks. Chunks of pork, not shredded as they are supposed to be. I started going to this place because L&L is so bad, but now they are on the same level so I’m at a moral dilemma. Oh and the katsu sauce sucks.

Literally, what’s there not to love about Hawaiian BBQ?! I ALWAYS get the Teryaki Chicken musubi and combo whenever I eat here. I would choose this over L&L Hawaiian BBQ anyday! It’s actually cheaper than L&L too! With generous portions of meat at macaroni salad.(+1) I come here often if I’m running late to work and have no time to meal prep before hand. Usually the lines are long during lunch and dinner hours. I order in the morning right before the peak of lunch time just to avoid any long lines and long wait times of them making my order. It usually takes about five minutes for them to make my combo platter. Just enough time for me to grab a couple of Teryiaki sauces and to fill my cup with some coke.(+3)(: Their Teryaki sauce is the best! I taste some sort of rice wine in it which enhances its flavor a bit, so +1 star for good ingredients for sauce making. Overall, ONO over any other Hawaiian BBQ place, until I discover something better, I’ll reconsider.

One of the best! The food is so delish here I will miss this when I’m out of town. Their Fire chicken is my favorite. Not to spicy and has flavor, and when it’s side by side with the teriyaki, it’s amazing! For the amount of food I get I never finish an entire box there’s always left overs. And if you are on a run and want something quick get the Spam appetizer. It’s a piece of spam wrapped with seaweed and rice. It’s small but very filling.

This is a good place considering when you’re in the San Gabriel Valley and in Alhambra the majority of restaurants are Chinese cuisine, so if you’re craving something different, here’s something to try, ‘tho it’s still Asian(Polynesian Pacific Islander) Hawaiian, it’s still different from the norm of the majority in the area. It has more of the Japanese influence to it, and I tried a combo BBQ plate with Galbi/Kalbi Beef Rib, Beef Slices and Dark Meat Chicken, all grilled, none fried, and they were all good, but I’d have to say the Chicken(and I typically only like White Meat) was the most tasty and it was marinated to perfection. It came with Rice and Mac Salad, but the macaroni salad needed a bit of salt and pepper to bring out the flavor. Overall, it’s a good place where you can get a meal for $ 7 – 10 after tax. Parking is not too difficult, as it shares the same lot as many businesses like Big 5 Sporting Goods and a few Chinese Restaurants and is in the somewhat more secluded area too. The service was fast and friendly and food quality, quantity portions, and pricing was fair. I go to Hawaiian places in the South Bay Beach Cities like King’s Hawaiian and The Local Place as well as The Loft usually. It’s counter service, you order and they call your number and you pick it up. No frills n’ cheap thrills for the palate n’ wallet…

Had dinner here last night and I truly enjoy this chain then L&L. This brand is really consistently good every time I visit. Ordered the mix plate(#44) that came with two scoops of white rice, macaroni salad, katsu, beef & chicken. A lot of food for under $ 10. Chicken has always been tender and juicy, katsu isn’t dry at all and has a nice crunchy bite to it, the beef is good and I would prefer more macaroni then white rice. Also had the chance to try their noodle soup and it was pretty good. Maybe next time I will get the soup and a side of katsu just to mix it up. Place was clean and the staff was nice, very accommodating but then again the place wasn’t full at all, and that’s fine with me. Plenty of lot parking.
