First of all! The customer service lingered and watched us while we are eating food making us feel very uncomfortable. They also made a big deal about finishing the food you order for the all you can eat and make you pay for what you do not eat or want to take home since it’s not a buffet. We also did not receive some of the food we ordered and were charged extra then what the all you can eat price was. The food was pretty good but hard to enjoy, our first experience was not very good.

Horrible service. My boyfriend and I went for dinner as soon as we sat down the waitress was giving a nasty look. When we received our food the waitress threw the plates on the table. Never again…

I wrote a review under«tangs». This place is disgusting. Plastic baked into the beef negamaki and my daughter choked on it. It actually looks like it could have been a condom in a past life. Horrible sushi. It stunk like bad fish. We left right after the plastic incident. No apology– nothing. A list 10 $. GC for our next visit. You couldn’t pay me to go back there.

Can’t beat $ 19.99 for all you can eat sushi and apps. Quality apps and delicious sushi! We are big fans of Kotobuki and eating here, I don’t feel like I am missing much. We enjoy it here almost as much and the best part is, it is half the price. Basic and specialty rolls included in menu. For apps, go for any of the tempuras. The shrimp is very good! Honey rib was okay as were the dumplings. Got red bean ice cream and it was great. Only complaint was the original waitress we had. She was extremely cold with no personality and literally ripped the menu out of my hand. Another very nice waiter brought us our food the rest of the time. Go early, food can take a while if it gets crowded. This was our 3rd time here and we went around 5:45, no wait and fairly quick delivery of food.

I eat Sushi on a regular basis 2 – 3 times a week. Needless to say I know good Japanese food. Once in awhile I go to an all you can eat Sushi place and have always had great experiences with fresh fish. This place is terrible, below par to say the least. The staff is unfriendly and couldn’t be bothered with showing a smile. They play a trick with the«all you can eat paper menu» by printing in small type an extra charge of 6 a person if you’d like Sashimi. Any place that I’ve been to does not charge extra for this in these type restaurants. The raw fish tasted very grainy and you could taste something odd about it. When I voiced my displeasure not with the food but with the sneaky pricing they couldn’t be bothered. Obviously we won’t ever go back.

Food was ok to be quite honest. The restaurant was not the most cleanest place Ive ever been too. The bathroom was absolutely gross. My overall experience was intimidating due to the rules plastered all over the menu. Ex. Sharing food is not permitted, if you over order you will be charged extra, and you only have a two hour eating minimum. The staff did not go above and beyond at all, they all seemed rude and bothered. Never going back!

I never post reviews but I have to for this place, as a warning. The sushi is delicious. The first two times I went, I had great meals. However, I had the most bizarre experience last night. It felt like my friend and I were being held hostage at our table until we finished all of our food. Are we adults or children? The menu states, «no leftovers.» I understand. But sometimes you don’t realize how much you are able to eat. So this time we had some leftovers on the plate. When I asked for the check after a while of digesting and wondering why the check wasn’t handed to us, the waitress looked at the plate and scowled. The menu was pointed out and we were told we could take the leftovers home for 7 dollars. We were told we could only leave 4 pieces left on the plate. So I literally had to force food down my throat until my stomach hurt. With that kind of service, the forced gratuity stung… Needless to say, will never go back. I am going back to the Sushi Palace on Middle Country Rd. in Centereach.

Stopped by for dinner last weekend hoping to get some delicious all you can eat sushi. Upon entering I immediately noticed the underwhelming ambience and dirty tables/menus. The restaurant is dark and staff is very unfriendly. The cashier/host was joking and laughing with loudly with two other people, who didn’t look like employees while we paid. Also, do not expect to feel comfortable while eating, there are so many rules such as no sharing, no over ordering and no taking home leftovers. The food was not good at all, they use SOMUCH mayo on their rolls it’s disgusting. Overall, terrible experience and I definitely won’t be returning again.

As a person that works in the restaurant business it’s fine if you include the tip… the food was great and I have really no complaints in full happy happy A++

I Have tried other sushi places, but this one tops them all. About $ 22 for an all you can eat menu, which includes signature sushi rolls. Can get any better than that! Sushi is delicious and so are the appetizers. Try the red bean ice cream with the fried banana; Heaven! Make sure to order everything at once as they do tend to get busy and the wit between ordering is somewhat long. Nonetheless it is still an awesome place for sushi-lovers.

Food is still decent but I’m not a big fan of them including the tip in the total. I decide what I give, not them. I will not be back.

I go here at least twice a month. The kitchen food is VERY good and the sushi is better than any of the other places around especially for the price. Atmosphere is a bit bland but I go for the food. It helps that they serve alcohol/beer too!

Really changed in both quality and atmosphere. Don’t ever sit in the back room; they forget you are there. Won’t be back! In the competitive space of all you can eat sushi, try Hoshi Sushi in Stony Brook, or Vortex in Port Jefferson Station. Quality and freshness top notch!

I was actually surprised how good this place is. Great place to get all you can eat sushi! My favorite is Nisen and this place is right up there with the quality and taste. Crazy lol. Our waitress was very nice. I definitely will be coming back and i definitely recommend to anyone who loves sushi!

This is a fantastic Sushi place. By far my favorite sushi place on LI, the fact that it’s also ayce is simply a bonus. The rolls can hold there own even if it weren’t ayce. I have tried all of the specialty rolls and when I come here I’ll order 6 – 9 rolls myself and have only had a couple that I didn’t like. Also a great atmosphere in the restaurant and the service has been wonderful every time we’ve been. My favorite roll by far is the Rocket Roll. The next favorites are Crazy Friday, Ninja, X’mas, and Volcano Roll. But try them all, that’s the great part about all you can eat sushi especially when it’s quality :)

When you see/hear the name of this restaurant you probably think what my first thoughts were… This is going to be terrible cheap sushi. HOWEVER you would be very wrong. Not only was the price on a Friday night of 18.99 $ reasonable but you actually get a huge choice of specialty rolls and kitchen treats. My date and I tried the chicken lettuce wrap(which the chicken was packed full of flavor) general chicken and sesame chicken. Out of all the rolls we tried my favorite was the Six Flags Roll and the Ninja Roll. I wish the server we had had been a little more attentive with drinks and the check at the end, but it was a Friday night and the place was busy. So that one issue will not stop me from coming back.

My boyfriend and i are always looking for a new sushi spot and what better than all you can eat?! On a whim, on a very hot Sunday, we visited this spot for a very, very late lunch. Upon entering, i noticed, very unhappily, that it was hot in there! But i hoped it might get better after sitting awhile… It didn’t. We were seated right away near the sushi bar with only one other table of diners. In the opposite room a party was in progress. The look of the restaurant is interesting and clean looking. We were provided the menu only to see a huge downfall — they charge an extra $ 5 or $ 6 per person to enjoy AYCA sushi and sashimi on top of the $ 20 per person. Needless to say, we did not partake but rather stuck to the rolls and special rolls. We waited about 5 minutes to place a drink order, then yes, another 20 minutes for someone to take our order. Once order was taken, food was fast like rapid fire, we could not keep up. The menu was decent, providing options for people that do not eat raw fish. Various Chinese & Thai options like sesame chicken and pad Thai. Hibachi shrimp fried rice was soooo good. I only gave 3 stars because the restaurant was ridiculously hot and i started to feel sick because of that. I didn’t not even get to try all i wanted to because i was so hot and tired. They also had interesting desert options like fried banana that i would have liked to try but could not stay one minute more. If we decide to visit again(the hibachi shrimp fried rice was again ridiculously good), i will reconsider this review, but guys, it’s summer with over 75% humidity… Turn on the AC!

The fish seems pretty fresh. Nothing spectacular but nothing skeeved me out either. The servers were friendly and the place seemed clean. Their red bean ice cream is super sweet and doesn’t taste much like red bean but the green tea ice cream and fried bananas were delicious. The kani salad tasted a bit weird because they use regular mayo but it wasn’t bad. The Vietnamese coffee was awful. I don’t think it even had sweetened condensed milk in it and it was really watery. The Kani Su was delicious. It was the best thing I had there. The kitchen food came in really big portions. I didn’t really want a whole bowl of udon noodles. Overall I wouldn’t bother going back. I like the options at Sushi Palace a lot more, even if they do seem to forget ¼ of anything you ask for. Also, although the menu says they’ll charge you for anything you don’t eat they didn’t give us an issue about the few things we didn’t finish.

This is my favorite sushi place, period. It’s a bonus that it’s AYCE. We came here accidentally for the soft opening and fell in love immediately. Having been to other AYCE places such Sushi Palace, Jimmy’s/Oriental Sushi, and Sushi Park(RIP) as well as regular restaurants like Kumo, Insignia, Aji 53, and Mitsui, the quality of sushi here is definitely above par. The fish is fresh, the rolls are unique and delicious. I usually don’t like fried rolls, but the six flags is my favorite. Another plus is their kitchen menu which has pad thai, and REAL beef chow ho fun(it’s all in the noodles), along with other appetizers and dishes that normally wouldn’t be included in an AYCE menu. Unlike Sushi Palace where I’ve become complacent with the fact that I won’t get the majority of my order(it’s AYCE! you can always order it again later), I usually get what I order. They recently expanded their space to two store fronts and increased their prices for weekend diners and previously increased the price of their nigiri/sashimi add on option to capitalize on the restaurant’s success. The quality of the food is still the same however the service has suffered. Prior to the expansion, there were 3 sushi chefs for the dinner rush. Now that they have twice the amount of tables, they still have only 3 sushi chefs at dinner rush which results in long wait times for your food. The wait staff have a rudimentary understanding of English, enough to take your order and say hello, good bye and thank you and are generally courteous and friendly. I’ve found that they don’t have assigned tables and any wait staff member will take your order or help you if you flag them down.

My son took me here for an all you can eat sushi $ 17.99 experience. The sushi is fresh and delicious. I also had the honey ribs appetizer and salad with finger dressing. Everything was delicious and will come back again. Why 4 stars instead of 5? I just don’t like when a restaurant charges extra for a dish of eel sauce, spicy mayo or tempura crunch. Sashimi understandably is $ 4.99 extra. All in all, it was delicious and the service is great.
