We had been wanting to come here for awhile. We were disappointed. While the food was fine, the restaurant was a disaster. We were seated at a table that had not been wiped down and there was rice on the seats and floor. We moved ourselves to another table that also looked like it had not been wiped down. While waiting for our food, we noticed that under several of the booths there was food that looked like it had been swept under the seats! The place was so unclean! The final straw was when one of the waiters cleared a table near us he used the departing patrons napkin to wipe down the table! Another group was promptly seated. There was plenty of staff around to clean but most spent time standing around talking. It was after lunch so the place was not too crowded. We won’t be back.

Yikes. Came here after shopping all day to get a late lunch with my mom because we were starving and we thought«Hey, Chinese — it’ll be quick!» Nope. We sat down at our table and we were greeted 15 – 20 minutes later. By that time we were famished so we just ordered everything right away. For starters we ordered the spicy tuna roll and the crab wontons. The wontons were actually pretty good and I enjoyed them. The tuna roll was okay it didn’t seem too fresh and it wasn’t that spicy. For the entrée I ordered the spicy chicken and my mom ordered chicken and broccoli. My dish was so disappointing and so flavorless I couldn’t stand to finish it. The chicken was chewy and gross and reminded me of the inedible boneless wings at Croxley’s and again — not spicy at all. My mom’s chicken and broccoli was a little better but something still felt off about the chicken and the broccoli wasn’t cooked all the way and was a little cold at the center. We would’ve ordered cocktails or a beer but we figured that we would probably have to wait another 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. When we first put in our order, a server asked us if anyone came up to us and when we said no he was nice enough to take our order. Our actual waitress came over later and delivered our food without any greeting and seemed very cold. I don’t know if the hostess didn’t tell our server that we were sat or if the server couldn’t handle the 2 other tables in the restaurant(it was not busy at all) but the service all around was pretty bad and the food was gross. One star because I like how the restaurant was decorated.

3 stars for the food, 1 star for service . Food was really really good, but when our beverages were done, it took the waitress FOREVER to refill them. By the time entrée was eaten, no soda, a server is NEVER supposed to leave a customer without a beverage with their meal !! I know, I’m a professional who has had many years of experience serving food and beverages to large crowds(it wasn’t even crowded when we where there, it was empty — no excuse to not offer a refill) Overall, I probably will not be visiting this one again …

Went in when the restaurant was dead. Seated immediately and drink orders were taken. Waited 20 minutes for drinks to come and the bartender took our order… Meals came out ice cold and when taken back, came back extremely salty. Bad experience and poor service.

This location is terrible. And way downhill from the few original locations that were fantastic. I’m here now, we have no silverware no napkins, soup hasn’t come out, but we have appetizers that have went cold because we have no silverware mind you. The busboy is nice, trying to help. Waitress is nowhere to be found. I can’t believe how terrible this is. It’s New Year’s Eve and it’s no even crowded. We made reservations a while ago for 8 people. Defiantly not prepared. They’re still rolling silverware the whole time I’m writing this review. Appetizers are all cold. Plates are FILTHY. What the hell is going on here! Terrible. Will not be coming back. Still not forks or napkins BTW and we’ve been here for 45 min.

Can’t do zero stars, Unilocal won’t allow it! This place is awful! We just moved here from Southern California, where we had great PF Chang’s and Pei Wei. We still feel sick after eating here on Monday night. Watery, cold soup and lettuce wraps, fried rice was cold, greasy and doused in soy. Service worse than pathetic. We were there for almost 2 hours and got nothing but belly aches, heartburn and nausea! New York! You have the best local Chinese! Do Not go here!

Had lunch here yesterday with a couple of girlfriends, and it was my second time at this restaurant. The food both times around was quite tasty; however, I had an unpleasant experience during yesterday’s visit, which is what prompted me to write this review. I ordered the Ginger Chicken and Broccoli. Tasty enough, and the portion was appropriate for lunch, but halfway through, I took a bite out of a piece of the chicken and saw a big red bloody vein! I spit it right out and sent the food back, telling the waiter it was undercooked. He was perfectly obliging, apologized several times, and had the cook prepare me another of the same meal for no extra charge. I had him put it right into a to-go box, since my appetite was now gone. When I got home and looked at the food, I saw that they neglected to include any rice, which seemed a bit stingy to me, especially since rice is a part of the entrée, and not an extra side. Naturally I was worrying the whole rest of the day whether any of the chicken that I did eat was also undercooked, but fortunately for everyone, I did not get sick. My advice to you: If you’re going to eat at this PF Chang’s in the Smith Haven Mall, and if you’re going to order a chicken dish, cut all the pieces open and check them first! A few other notes about this visit: We weren’t given any silverware or napkins until we had to ask for them when the food arrived. Also, we were given straws for our sodas that had been taken out of their paper wrapping, which the waiter was touching with his hands, and he then placed them onto the table surface, and who knows what sort of germs were lurking there. Suffice it to say I drank directly from the glass, sans straw.

It’s a nice place to sit in! Service was very slow. The food is way too salty. We had to return the dishes we ordered to request less salt. There is no flavor. Certainly not very Chinese! I left feeling pretty ‘sick’ And threw up my dinner at reaching home. Not good!!!

First time there. Wasnt bad at all. Nice kinda plain décor I thought, but nice, friendly greeters and servers. Food was good, not bad, not great, but good. A little pricey, but I didnt have to tell you that. We didnt leave hungry, so. Would I go back? Well yeah, but there are other places to try also.

Eh. I really want to like this place. I’ve eaten at PF’s in other states and loved it, so I was really excited that they were moving into my town. I’ve been 3x’s. 1st time service was horrendous. Food not so great. Second time service was ok and food ok. Third time food was pretty good — not great and in my opinion not really worth the price. I may give it a last chance because I Do appreciate the gluten free menu and expansive drink menu, but the service really needs to step up!

The food was good but the service was horrible. Took 2 hrs to get our food. The waiter was hardly around and he hardly came to our table to see if we needed anything. He didn’t even give us regular updates on what was going with our food. The manager came to our table but it didn’t seem as if he even had any explanation as to what was going on with service. The waiter even screw up our order and when the tried to correct it. It took even longer for them to bring out the other order. We has them refrigerate a birthday cake for us for them to bring it out and sing happy birthday and they couldn’t even get the right. It was my first experience there and wouldn’t even recommend my worst enemy eat there. I would never go back again. Benihana here we come.

I’m amazed at how much business they had. I ordered chicken fried rice — probably one of the most basic dishes — and was completely disappointed at the overall lack of flavor or any distinguishing tastes between the different ingredients of the dish. It was really just one homogenous bland hunk of food. I believe it cost me 9.50(!). Do yourself a favor and go to Ten 89 by the Stony Brook LIRR station — theirs is only 5.95 and is undeniably better. My gf got the Korean BBQ chicken stir-fry, which tasted good, but the portion was tiny for 14.25. To top it off, we waited so long for our dishes that our waiter offered us complimentary soup(I hate to keep bashing, but it was very unpleasantly salty) twice. The only redeeming parts of our visit were the décor and our waiter, who was extremely upbeat and friendly. So if you’re looking for good(or even remotely palatable) Asian food, steer clear. But if you’re looking to take a stroll through a pretty restaurant, they have two entrances.

I’ve been here two times before with small parties and today I booked a table for 20 for dinner. Our waiter and waitress were very helpful and friendly all throughout our stay, consistently refilling our waters and very patient with taking orders from 20 people. However, the wait for the food was almost an hour. Although we were a big party, the rest of the restaurant was not crowded at all. I’m not expecting authentic Chinese food, but a take out place can probably make similar(if not better) dishes at a more affordable price. The food are mostly misses and very few hits. Here is a compilation of everyone’s thoughts on the food. The Mongolian beef was the only dish that was flavorful and worth the price. The coconut curry vegetables, good assortment of veggies but a very nonexistent curry, lacks the rich and thick liquid I expect from coconut curry. Do not order the lobster fried rice! Small portion of overly salty popcorn lobster with a lot of bland fried rice. A few friends ordered this fried rice and were disappointed with the fried lobster. If they have to fry seafood, then the lobster was probably not fresh in any way. And if it was fresh, they wasted the lobster by frying it. The walnut shrimp with melon was okay, very sweet, good interpretation of the mayo shrimp most Chinese restaurants serve. The melon was refreshing and is a change from the usual broccoli. Mapo tofu was lacking sauce and spices. Chilean sea bass, expensive but is expected for fish. Beef and broccoli was extremely salty. Undercooked white rice. Brown rice was decent and so was the fried rice platter. I will probably not return again to this establishment unless it’s another social gathering like today. If you’re really craving fake Chinese food, save your time and just call and order some Chinese take out.

Save your time. Save your money. Don’t come here. We originally wanted to go to cheesecake factory next door, but the wait was 1.5 hours. So we went to pf changs instead. No big expectations or anything. Big mistake! Ended up waiting longer with the service at pf changs. They must be understaffed or something. Our waitress was also not having it today. We were also served food without utensils. And no one noticed until 10 minutes later when we asked. Food was 2 stars. Service 0. I love my Unilocalers so I’m saving you from a horrible experience.

I think this is the first time I’ve been to a Chinese chain restaurant. Their apps were ok and drinks were pretty good. The entrees were really disappointing. We tried sesame chicken and orange chicken. Would not recommend either. We have so many Chinese restaurants all over Long Island so perhaps this isn’t the best area for a chain of this genre. I’ll probably go back to give it one more shot. But next time I’ll stick with all apps and small plates.

I’m not fond of kicking someone while they’re down but… I’ve had PF Chang’s in Virginia once before and it was an ok experience. Not memorable but not terrible to the point where I would never consider going back. Fast forward to many years later when a PF Chang’s opened up near us. We had a gift card we wanted to use and middle of the week seemed like a good of a night as any expecting no wait time and less crowded restaurant we went over to get some dinner. Immediately after we walked into the restaurant things went sour. The hostess told us that there was a 45 minute wait. Seriously?! We also went in the later hour(about 8:30) and we both spotted a number of empty tables in the dining area. At first I wasn’t going to ask about this but after waiting for about 10 minutes and seeing nobody walk into the door, I walked over and asked why we had to wait while there were empty tables. The initial explanation was that there were people who were on the waiting list who are walking around the mall and we had to wait to be seated after them arrived and sat down first. Ok, I may not own or run a restaurant but that strikes me as extremely poor customer service/seating management. You make more money when you can flip a table quickly and you don’t piss off your patrons by making them wait while there are empty tables which makes you look really bad, especially during dinner hour. After not seeing anyone come in, I approached the hostess again and another employee said that the kitchen had some issues and that was the reason for the wait. Essentially, I was either being lied to, or this PF Chang’s has severe customer service issues, which based on the reviews seems to be in line with other experiences. After they summoned the manager, he also tried to explain to me that there are 2 – 3 other people meandering through the mall and they needed to be seated first before we could be seated. Now, if they are in the middle of a store at the far end of the mall and they feel like shopping around, apparently it’s more appropriate to make us wait for this to occur instead of seating us. I challenged him by asking a simple math question… If there are 3 parties ahead of us, and 5 open tables, does this not leave 2 open tables that we could be seated at? That pretty much ended the conversation and we were immediately seated. Onto the meal portion of the review… Pretty much every Chinese take-out restaurant has egg drop soup, hot & sour soup and wonton soup on the menu… So I figured it will be a good comparison to see how the quality is. I went with Hot & Sour soup and some Saigon Summer Rolls. The Saigon Summer rolls were good and I would order them again. Now here’s where it gets weird… The Hot & Sour soup was brought over, and the waiter also dropped off an Egg Drop soup while saying something that they ran out of Hot & Sour soup… Now, the cup was almost full and it looked like a perfectly acceptable portion. He said they are making more(ironically, later I was told it’s pre-packaged which is more likely so I don’t understand how they can run out, unless they ran out and didn’t want to open a new package since they most likely have to dump it at the end of the day). I tasted the soup and it was like they forgot the Hot ingredient… The soup was more sour and totally lacking any kind of kick. Very disappointing as I can get better H&S soup at any take-out. For mains, I asked what the spiciest dish on the menu was and the waiter said that Pepper Steak was the spiciest and his favorite. My wife ordered Oolong Chilean Sea Bass on a bed of spinach and I ordered the Pepper Steak. The Oolong Chilean Sea Bass was seared to perfection but was spoiled by the over salted spinach in soy. Toned down, it would be perfect and something I would definitely order again. My Pepper steak on the other hand was lacking spice, I can get spicier at Wendy’s or KFC. It was also mixed with a sauce that had a lot of thickener and tasted mealy. It was also a bit over tenderized. I’ll give credit to the waiter who did a decent job but overall nuisance of going to this place and eating mediocre food left a lot to be desired for this trip. Normally, I give a place two or three chances just in case the stars aligned and my experience is the exception to the norm, so I will give PF Chang’s a second try and update the review as necessary. As a side note, while majority of Chinese take-out restaurants are moving away from MSG, it seems PF Chang’s is stocking up and supplementing all the dishes with generous portions of MSG. I am on my 3rd large(750ml) bottle of Pellegrino after my dinner and my thirst has not subsided.

I had a reservation for six and we were seated immediately, so that was great. But overall this was not as good a dining experience as the PFC in Westbury. For one, it’s smaller and the restaurant ambiance is not quite as upscale. The Westbury PFC is much nicer by comparison. The egg drop soup we ordered seemed subpar and lacking in flavor. My mother and I ordered their famous Mongolian Beef which tasted great but the portions seemed smaller than we have gotten previously. Worst of all was the long wait for our entrees to arrive and getting refill on wine(it was not particularly crowded on a Sunday) Lastly, the tiramisu was nothing great either. As I mentioned, I like the PFC in Westbury and recommend it but this one was not nearly as enjoyable. 2 ½ starz

Pseudo Asian I was sort of disappointed in P.F. Chang’s: the only thing Asian about the place is the name. This is like an Applebee’s of Asian cuisine, which may or may not, be your cup of tea. I can appreciate that 99% of the folks in America have never had real Asian anything to eat(even when they get take out at home). and P.F. Chang’s is the logical extension of that. The food, in all fairness, is tasty enough. Nothing you would ever see in any Asian country, but something that has evolved to suit American tastes. Meh– I’d rather just go over to Flushing and have the real deal. The bar area is nicely done, but much too small for the restaurant I feel. There is a limited amount of seats. Bartenders were decent and fun. Bathrooms were clean and bright — bonus for that. I dunno– maybe a good place to take grandma for her bday, but not my cup of tea. Parking in the mall parking lot in front.

This PF’s gets a 3 from me. The food is decent, service is good, and the drinks are pretty good. Though I was highly disappointed they couldn’t make me a PF-X. I thought that was a signature cocktail of PF Changs?! My best friend & I came here and we had no wait. That’s also because we made a reservation too since it was 2 days before Christmas. We had some celebrating to do. Therefore we decided to do the Dinner for Two. We got the following: Chicken Lettuce Wraps 2 Hot & Sour Soups Pepper Steak Kung Pao Chicken Small Shanghai Cucumbers Salted Caramel Sweet Treat I’ll go back soon but I’m not in a huge hurry. I also would like to mention the freebie rice with our dinners was beyond underdone. I’m glad we didn’t get fried rice because I wonder if that’s the same case with not being done?
