We went on Monday right after dropping off our toddler with my parents in order to get some alone time with our 3 week old. We couldn’t believe how busy it was for a Monday which is a good sign. The Good: fish on a Monday can be hit and miss depending on when they get their shipment. But wow that was some fresh fish we ordered some Nigiri to see how it was and it was fantastic so we ordered a Sashimi/nigiri combo«the love boat» hate the name, and hate sushi boats but it was great. The only negative was the yellow tail sashimi was cut from the collar and a bit tough while the yellow tail nigiri was fantastic. Not so good: the whole place seemed a bit helter skelter when we got there we were greeted twice by the same person and told there would be a short wait. Other than that the service was a bit off. It seemed like 3 people working the floor was enough but they made it seem impossible. All that to say we will be back

RP has a ton of Japanese restaurants, but Sushiko and Hana are the best two. Hana is fancier and better quality, but Sushiko is a great option that’s less formal. Great service and great sushi variety, even if it’s mostly Americanized. The baked rolls are worth trying. I’ve been coming to Sushiko since they first opened in RP, and I’ve been eating here a few times a month ever since.

Theres so much love put into this food. Ive never been disappointed with the food, ever. Portions are appropriate, they don’t try to compensate other ingredients for rice. And each piece is actually bite sized, not americanized. So much love, it’s all art, all fresh, I wont go anywhere else now-it doesn’t compare.

Not a bad go to place for Japanese/Korean food in a pinch. Was totally hangry and starving after a concert at the Green Music Center so this place had to do and surprisingly very good. Service very fast and food was great. Would definitely come back again.

Went there 1÷9÷16 on a double date. Waited 25 minutes before being greeted. Service was excruciatingly slow though food was good. I had the Mexican Roll, Garlic Edamame and Crazy Boy Roll. Wife had the Spicy Cha-Siu Ramen with Pork and shared the Edamame. Ambiance was pleasantly nice and I would go again just not on Saturday night dinner time.

Thanks to Unilocal and fellow Unilocalers, we were in Rohnert Park and craved sushi. I remember when there wasn’t much on this side of town. More than two decades ago, I only recall Hana Japanese restaurant being the only one around. The moment we walked in, staff greeted us warmly and seated us immediately. They serve lunch ’til 2:30pm, even on weekends. Our nice waiter said it was ok for me to order the lunch item close to 3pm, and I ordered the BBQ pork & rice. Hubby ordered a couple of rolls, which were presented beautifully. I like the décor and ambiance. Service was impeccable. There’s ample parking. It satisfied our sushi craving, and off we went to the movies. We will definitely be back to enjoy delicious sushi.

Food & service was great! It’s definitely one of my favorite sushi restaurant that is local in town. I drive from Sonoma just to go to Sushiko for lunch or dinner. I would recommend this place because of its delicious, creative food & the service. It’s very welcoming even from the sushi chefs and the waiters. They are all attentive & professional. It is quiet and peaceful. It’s such a nice place to have a date! Thanks team sushiko you guys are the best! I will come back!

We were recently looking for a new sushi place near our home in Sebastopol, and decided to give this place a try. We liked it so much we went back, and had a great experience both time. There is a huge menu of choices. Not just a wide array of creative(both traditional and non-traditional) rolls to appeal to every taste, but also lots of fried and tasty appetizers, main courses, and even some ramen. Memorable dishes included this tuna appetizer served on crispy rice cakes, and a salad with fried salmon skin. The service was friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely worth a visit!

Our sushi was really good. Came in before the big lunch rush. Defiantly going to go back to try more unique rolls out! Had the mango tango roll so yummy. The what went wrong with number 2 roll and the titanic roll. All good!

I love this place. So much so that I’m headed there shortly for the third time in a week. It’s not just the insanely fresh fish, the crazy delicious dressing on the salad, the friendly service, or cool ambience. I really appreciate the fact that the people running this restaurant are actually speaking Japanese. There is a hip, authentically Japanese aesthetic. Before any overly PC babies start to cry, I am not suggesting that people other than the Japanese are incapable of mastering the art of sushi making. There is simply a palpable difference. You know exactly what I mean. The sushi chef(s) here take painstaking pride in their work, which is demonstrated by the surgeon-like precision in which the fish is cut, so as to make consumption not only easy, but wildly attractive. Even the«crunch» rolls are done in an understated, but perfectly on point way. Bottom line: I will regularly be driving to RP for my sushi crack.

My husband and I went here for dinner tonight and had an enjoyable dinner. We opted for an early dinner since it was Friday and we were already hungry and to beat any crowds – it started to fill up when we were leaving. We were greeted promptly when we arrived and told we could sit wherever we wanted since the place wasn’t full. We ordered drinks and the veggie gyoza for an appetizer. Drinks and appetizer arrived promptly. The gyoza was tasty and hit the spot. The green tea was brewed from loose leaf tea. For the main course, we shared a couple of sushi rolls and the veggie tempura udon noodles. The hot udon noodles were great on a really chilly night. We enjoyed the sushi rolls which seemed really fresh and fun. When compared to Hana, I would say the menu at Sushiko is more Americanized. I enjoyed fun combinations of sushi rolls available and would definitely come here again. Service is friendly and efficient without being too intrusive.

Looking for a great Sushi place? Look no more, this is the one! We were 7 people, and we all had an excellent experience! The food: awesome! A large selection of Sushi, Sashimi, Nigiri, and chef specialities. Do not forget the deserts! The restaurant has a small seating area, decorated nicely in a Japanese style. The service was very nice, and the waiters were very helpful with the food recommendations. As a summary, the experience was as close as it can get to a high end Japanese restaurant experience.

Yes. 5 stars for my peeps at Sushiko! Ive been here a few times and EVERY time is a pleasant experience. They always have consistent fresh sushi, a great variety of rolls. Im not much of a fish fan but this place has expanded my palette in sushi and fish. My favorite, 007 roll. Will see you again.

Great place to eat sushi in Rohnert Park! If sushi is an art form, then Sushiko has clearly mastered it. The rolls are full of vibrant colors and beautiful in presentation. The sushi chefs definitely take their time in cranking out high-quality rolls for their beloved customers. Their fried rice is delicious as well, it is just moist enough for me to enjoy every bite. It definitely gets busy here on the weekends, so prepare to wait it out for 15 – 30 minutes!

Obviously Unilocal is my go to for where to eat when we travel and 99% of the time they nail it! This unfortunately this is a 1%‘er place. We were searching for great sushi near our hotel and the pictures and reviews seemed to solidify this choice. But our experience was that the raw fish was a bit on the warm side, which always makes me nervous at a sushi place. Our rolls were constantly falling apart. We ordered the nigri and sashimi combo and got a sushi and nigri combo. With sashimi being my favorite this kind of disappointed me, but might have been a blessing if the fish was going to be room temp. Well I guess you can not win them all but we were really looking forward to enjoying fresh sushi while on the west coast but Sushiko let us down.

I would have given this restaurant a 5-star if the service was a little better. Location of this restaurant is great! It’s right off the freeway so it was convenient to make a stop while passing thru… Plus, there’s plenty of parking in the lot making it stress free to find parking. The ambience is nice and quiet. It’s a small restaurant but set up to look spacious. Lots of small tables lining the walls. Simple décor and well lit. There were 3 waiters on a Sunday evening. I thought this was a great sign seeing the restaurant wasn’t extremely busy… However, contrary to logic, the service was very slow! The staff also seemed confused on where to pick up food. Sometimes food would come out at the front of the bar… Sometimes the back of the kitchen. Onto the important stuff… The food was hands down awesome! The sake sashimi was among the best quality I’ve ever had. Firm and delicate all at the same time. So, so fresh! Ahi ceviche was on the specials board and it was the best dish of the night! The ceviche was served on a leaf of some sort… But the leaf was battered and deep fried but so sturdy and crunchy — better than a chip, any day! The baked mussels weren’t impressive. Not noteworthy. The Ultimate Salmon and Ultimate Yellowtail were so fresh, so good, and so worth it! The avocado added a nice texture to the rolls. Overall, I can’t wait to come back to this place and would recommend it to sushi lovers.

Yummy. Good ingredients. Well prepared. Pretty to see. Served with graciousness and a friendly smile. Lower priced than local competitors for sushi and Japanese combination Bento boxes without obvious cost cutting on ingredients of portion size. Highly recommended.

This place is easy to find, clean and modern. They have really good service here too. They are consistently attentive and friendly. They have a rather expansive menu with tons of sushi rolls! I liked how the sushi rolls were cut into relatively small pieces. We got 3 large rolls and 1 small roll for 2 people and it was the perfect amount of food. Everything was flavorful and fresh. I will be back again!
