So… I was a little apprehensive about coming here but it was on my bucket list so I said what the heck. So far so good. Well… I did just get insulted by a random guy who asked me if humming birds land in my hair(wth???) but I can’t count that against the business. The bartender is nice, and there are a few families with children here eating dinner. I’m tempted to yell out«there’s a baby– in a bar!» but I think everyone will look at me like I’m the crazy one so I’m gonna keep my mouth shut. Glad I can check it off my to do list.

Last time. Smaller portions, higher prices and poor food quality. Went in on a Friday night and no one was there. The waitress was distracted with her friends. Oh well. It was good while it lasted.

This review is just a reminder for me not to come back. I walked in and there was a bar and maybe 10 tables with an entryway to another room. I stood near the bar for about 5 – 10 minutes looking for a hostess and no one even looked in my direction. I finally walked through to the other room to find the main seating area and probably the front entrance. Stood at the front entrance for a few minutes and then left. The food looked like comfort food and might be ok.

I’ve been going to Rickys since the late seventies. Always enjoyed good hearty meals there. Recently, I realized I haven’t had a bucket of chicken from there in about 2 years. The past few days I’ve been thinking tonight? Ok, tonight I broke down and ordered a bucket of chicken with them big wedge cut potatoes. With the first bite, I could tell that nothing has changed and it’s as good as it ever was. Nice and crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. Perfect!

This place is disgusting. It is in a bad neighborhood, the ambiance is about as gross as it gets, things feel unsanitary, and the food is not that good. The lasagna is probably the worst I’ve had. The waitresses have a bad attitude. A man was smoking directly outside the door and no one working there addressed it. I watched a woman bring her 2 – 3 year old into the bar. Trashy, trashy, trashy place. Not to mention overpriced! A cheap meal on the menu is still about $ 15.

Love this place! Great little neighborhood restaurant. Minestrone is delicious. Big portions of delicious homestyle food at a reasonable price.

I have lived in this area for decades and have been going to Ricky’s for decades. We ordered a small bucket of garlic chicken and fried ravioli’s appetizer with meat sauce to go. Neither were up to Ricky’s normal standards. The ravioli’s were barely cooked, the meat sauce container was less then half filled which meant we ran out about ½ way through. The garlic flavor in the chicken was negligible and the crispiness was not there. I hope this is just an aberration and not the sign of thing’s changing at Ricky’s.

I came here based on reviews from a friend that’s been going here for years. Sadly, I wasn’t at all impressed. When I stepped in I felt like I stepped back into the 70’s. There’s a dark bar like feel here. I thought the food was just ok. Not worthy of a return visit. I ordered the lasagna and polenta with meatballs. Both were just ok, nothing to write home about. The dinner came with soup and salad, both of which were very good. The service was good, and the bread was very tasty. Overall I was excited until our actual entrees arrived.

My friend took me out for lunch a couple months ago, & now I’m a regular. The chicken is great, & you can call in & order it to take home. I went & had dinner on St. Patty’s day, & it was to die for! The best corned beef & cabbage & carrots that I’ve ever had. Awesome service, friendly people, & great food!

Probably thw best fried chicken in this area. Service is nice, although I have never sat down. Really comfy atmosphere. If you live in the area, waaaaay better than anything else around here.

Great food, large portions. Prime rib is excellent, good fried chicken. Reasonable prices for what you order. Good appetizers. Drive all the way from Concord to eat there.

Wow, great fried chicken to-go! Bucket of chicken + potato wedges came out to just over $ 20. I wish they had a side of string beans or something you can add then the meal would be complete. Call it in, show up 20min later and you won’t have to wait long. If you find yourself waiting don’t despair… walk on thru the doorway to the lounge/bar side and belly up to the bar for a cocktail or beer. It’s dark, it’s old school and it’s alright by me!

Food is great. Their rague is very good. Normally order the prime rib dinner. Which I prefer over Harris steak dinner. Fried Chicken is also really good. Make sure you leave room for dessert. The few times I’ve had desert was worth it. The only con is that they normally seem understaffed. The waitresses try their best to keep up with everyone and with the place being small it seems possible. But on a busy night it can get very hectic. And you feel forgotten about.

Wow! When my dad said he’d make reservations here for father’s day, I thought there would be no way in hell a reservation would be needed. WRONG! I’ve never seen Ricky’s Corner this crowded before! Guess the dads all have good taste :-) That said, however, service was exceptionally slow… I think it was about 10 – 15 minutes before our order was taken, and then about 45 minutes until it came out(and we DIDN’T order the items that had a 45-minute wait listed on the menu). I guess they were more crowded than maybe even THEY expected, so it took them a little longer. I ended up going with the cheese tortellini which was just fine. The minestrone soup that came with it was really good, and the salad just so-so. My dad had the Cajun catfish with pasta and ate the whole thing. My brother got the veal with pasta and also ate it all. Anyway, it was a nice dinner for Father’s Day with my pop!

I don’t know anything about the wait time or the actual establishment because we usually just order to go, and my dad picks it up instead of me. BUTTHATFRIEDCHICKENTHOUGH… I’m not a fan of fried chicken, it’s usually dry, there’s too much batter, but this… is delicious. Even the worst part of the chicken is moist and delicious(THEBREAST. yes, the chicken breast is the worst part of the chicken) and I usually hate hate hate hate HATE potato wedges but these were really good, and I actually ate them. Support your local businesses! And hey, it does take a while to fry chicken. they’re probably making it fresh.

Dave C… quit yer cryin’ I give it extra credit because they do take the extra time to cook some real food. The garlic chicken is 5 stars easy. I grew up being driven to this restaurant by my parents. It was good then and, after a ten year hiatus, it is still a great little spot. My dad drives from Sacramento just to eat the liver and onions. He has sworn that this place had the best he’d ever tasted and, to this day, will almost do a dance when he talks about it. I have to take his word on that. I don’t do the organ shuffle, but I will do the chicken dance. Nothing much has changed since I came here as a boy. Same décor, good people and great food. Haven’t gotten a chance to have a sit down dinner since I’ve been back in the area, but I intend to soon. Until then… garlic chicken and wedges for the win!!!

I’ve learned not to go to Ricky’s if I don’t have the time to wait BUTIMHO it is sooo worth waiting for. Their garlic chicken is to die for! Love the medallions also and their Minestrone soup is the bomb. Don’t let the area or the outside scare you away AND bring your patience with. We’ve not been disappointed and we have been doing Ricky’s for many, many, many years!
