Where do I start, my wife came here and ordered a large pizza and a pitcher of beer. I had to use the bathroom and was told that they were out of order. Then I asked again and they said I could use it. They gave me a key and the bathroom was very dirty. Then I asked for two glasses of water and they said they don’t have water cups. I ordered a pitcher of beer when I ordered the pizza and so I asked well then can I have the beer now.
Then the manager or employee had his three boys playing in the dining room running, climbing on the booths and being loud. We will never come here again.
The pizza and beer was very good though, next time we will just buy beer and have the pizza delivered.

My co-​worker and I stopped by for lunch last week. We get an hour for lunch. Instead of waiting for a pizza, we decided go for a buffet place. Straw hat runs a lunch buffet.
We should have known when there were no pizzas on the buffet to go next door to subway. We asked, they said they make to order so they’re not wasteful. Ok, I can give them that.
Two buffets then. We have salad while waiting for pizza. They bring out a half and half of a small pizza. By then other patrons had arrived and we got just 2 small slices each before there was no more pizza.
We waited for a while, our lunch hour dwindling, and no more pizzas were brought out. My co worker asked and was told «more are coming right up». 10 minutes later «7 more minutes».
We didn’t have 7 more minutes.
So in the end, we got totally hosed and didn’t even get an apology when we told them we couldn’t wait.
We won’t be back. I’d advise you not go here for lunch hour.

If I could give them ZERO stars I would. Me and my friend ordered a pizza and after we both had a slice we found a strain of hair on our pizza which was not the same color of me and my friends hair. We asked for our money back and he refused and told us there was nothing wrong with the pizza. His employee pointed out the hair on the pizza also and he acted oblivious to it. He then told me he would eat the slice himself still with the hair on it. So after about 5min of arguing I finally got my money back. If I could describe the manager in 3 words it would be B***h a$$ n***a

Pizza was dry and left a burnt taste in my mouth even though the bottom didn’t look burnt. This pizza did NOT taste good at all. I called to complain and was told it was cooked the same as all the pizzas and has the same amount of toppings. They made no attempt to rectify the problem and did not seem to care about having an unsatisfied customer. I have contacted corporate and I called back to return the pizza and get a refund but was told they were closing and to call back tomorrow!
My advice: go to mountain mikes. They give weekly coupons for $ 14.99 and their pizza is SO MUCH better. I will NEVER go back to this straw hat again due to service and quality.

I am updating my review. I have ordered a few times from you guys and all though your pizza is good your delivery service is extremely slow. Over an hour to get an order on a Monday night when I live 15 minutes away is NOT ok. My 4 year old at this point is beyond hungry. This has happened several times.

have gotten pizza here a couple of times I usually call it in a pick it up and have never had a problem the pizza is cooked well, good customer service on the phone and upon pickup. Also love that the pizza is not super greasy

Worst pizza I ever tasted. I absolutely love straw hat in Fairfield but on Friday s there’s too much traffic so I decided to come here and I was very disappointed. Pizza tasted nothing like I was used to. everyone in my party said it tasted like cardboard. no crust, salad bar. tasted bland. but on a good note great customer service

This place is going downhill. We ordered pizza for delivery and after 90 minutes, we called to check on the order. We could not get through so we ended driving to the restaurant to pick up our order. To our surprise our pizzas were not even made yet. Excuse was they were short-​handed. Second and last bad experience at this Straw Hat. Owner is a nice guy, but I can no longer recommend or spend (or attempt to).

I stopped here while on a bike ride and was just expecting to just be in and out. I enjoyed my food and the hospitality the owner gave me. He was kind and asked what pizza I specifically wanted for the lunch special. He had an actual conversation rather than just a hi how are you, needless to say I was impressed with the service. The pizza was good as well! I will be coming back if I’m out this way for sure!

I went here for the lunch buffet and got pizza and soda. Salad cost extra so I skipped it. There weren’t many pizza options and few customers also. The staff was really friendly and even made me a personal pizza of my choice as the lunch was ending and they were running short on pizza. The interior of this place is beat-​up. Seats are ripped and it just looks run-​down. I would much rather go to Mountain Mike’s down the road. I’m not gonna be in much of a rush to go back.

I live in Crockett, and frankly the pizza options with delivery around here are limited. I like Straw Hat, they actually deliver to Crockett and not many places will. So if I am looking for some pizza that is good, I go here. If I were in Berkeley I would choose something else because Berkeley has like 3 really awesome pizza places. It is all about perspective and this is pretty good for this area… oh and they are really nice.

This place sucks.
I wish that I could give a more of an elaborate review, but simplicity is best as I am soooo dissatisfied by the service that I cannot bring myself to say what I really want to without getting banned from Unilocal.
I was told that my order would be ready in 10 min. It took a total of 45 min to make a hot sandwich on a non-​busy day. I have been ordering from this place for a year and a half as I live less than a mile from the place and they always take well OVER an hour to deliver my food. Round Table in HERCULES delivers to my house in 30 – 45 min.

This Straw Hat is OK. The staff is friendly, but I don’t like the way they do the lunch buffet. When you pay for the buffet, you go sit down at the table, and a girl comes over and asks what you want… what kind of buffet is that?
She brings over 1 pizza and says «who wants a slice of pepperoni?», then about 10 minutes later she might bring over a combonation pizza and ask who wants a slice.
They should tear this place down and build a CiCi’s Pizza, or at least a place that knows how to do a buffet (like Mountain Mikes).
Still, it’s good pizza, and friendly people… I just thought it was weird how they did their buffets.

I love the feel of this Straw Hat, very low key and comfortable. The staff’s always pretty nice to me. I mostly come for the salad bar, which I do enjoy a lot.
There’s plenty of seating, and a little corner arcade.

I usually order the all meat pizza or a pepperoni, sausage, jalapeño. yum.
Anyway one of the very very FEW good restaurants in the area.

The first I came to this place was to drink beer and have pizza, and not listen to some crazy fat man in no shirt carry on and scream about how they don’t have Pilk (Pig’s Milk) as a beverage option.
Thankfully there was no fat man with a pilk problem, and the pizza was decent, the games were fun and the specials pretty specially priced! A good place to chill with buddies on a Friday after work or for a quick lunch. And the lemon pepper chicken pizza is goooood!
But seriously, they don’t serve pilk at Straw Hat Pizza. At this point I am sick of people asking ME if they do. i can’t imagine how those poor employees must feel.
