We’ve been to this Moe’s pretty often… The line is usually slow-moving and long, the portions are VERY inconsistent. Sometimes you get enough for a meal, sometimes, not. Lately, we have always had to ask for chips. One thing I will say is that their flavors have been consistently pretty good, which is why we keep coming back here. You will probably have to clean off a table so you can sit down and eat(which is why we only do take-out now from this location. If you happen to be out east on the south fork, there is a Moe’s on Montauk Hwy. near Westhampton that blows this one away… and it is the ONLY one we sit down and eat at. This Moe’s still has a long way to go… I would think they need to hire a CAPABLE manager to keep those kids from spending more time socializing than serving.

The staff was unfriendly and portions are so small compared to other Moe’s. Would not recommend.

A lot of young kids working here that don’t quite understand teamwork. The line can get long because you see one person doing all the work while a few others are just watching. The food sometimes is off as well but if you get a stack it’s always good. They need to be more efficient and work together better to avoid congestion.

If anyone has ever been to Cabo Fresh then you know the set up. Food is good. Filling. I had the limited of time only smoking chicken. Not nearly as hot or spicy as I usually like my food. But it’s delicious.

Moe’s review I’ve been here probably 6 times over the last several weeks and I have to say that despite the mediocre reviews I was pleasantly surprised. I’ve had the bowls, burritos, quesadillas and nachos with the ground beef, chicken(both kinds), pork and steak. I’ve yet to try the tofu. The chicken(either kind depending on what mood I’m in) or steak are my favorites. I found the pork a little too salty and the ground beef a little too greasy. I have only ordered using the app and once over the phone so I don’t have to wait on what other reviewers describe as long lines. One time my order was incorrect and also a 20% promotion wasn’t applied — both issues were with the same order. I didn’t notice either problem until I got home(a 15 minute ride) and it was after they closed. During my next visit they applied the 20% promotion, cool. Pros: The portions are very filling — I order one item and it lasts for 2 – 3 meals. I usually order a bowl or a burrito. I’ve only ordered to-go and would never again order nachos to-to(my mistake) unless I ask for the chips separate, because when I got home it was a soupy mess. The staff is very friendly and my order is always ready when I arrive. I only had the one error and that was made right on my next visit. I place my orders ahead of time using the app so I can skip what other reviewers describe as long lines and also because it’s easier when ordering multiple items for a crowd with all the different options and toppings. Cons: When you use the app you’re supposed to earn rewards but they don’t always show up and the few times I brought this to the attention of(very friendly) staff they didn’t really know what to do about it. Not really a big deal but would be nice if the reward system was more… rewarding. Also, I’ve tried just about everything on the menu but they all taste the same because of the additional toppings you can add. So once you pick what protein you want then add the pico, corn salsa, cilantro, lettuce, grilled onion/peppers/mushrooms to a burrito/bowl/quesadilla you have the same tasting thing but in different shape and form, no? Of course I’ll still go because it’s yummy and filling, I just won’t look for my reward because I probably won’t get one reliably and I’ll get a bowl because it’s easier to eat than a burrito ;)

I eat Moes takeaway easily at least 4x a week, most of the time more than that. As far as the food goes, consistent, tasty and fresh — if you’re not familiar, picture a severely upgraded Taco Bell. Yes there is a lot of young kids working here, so I can imagine when it’s busy that gets to be a bit of an issue. To be honest, I have never eaten in the store nor have I ever ordered from being in the store more than 1−2x. I always use the Moes takeaway app, that way it’s preordered and paid for when I get there — tell them my name, grab my food and go. Yes there’s been times they made mistakes — they’re young kids and human errors happen, especially during busy times — but if ever they messed up, I’d call let the manager know and received my entry for free on my next order or two depending on how bad the order was messed up. Seeing all these negative reviews relative to the inside store experience is unfortunate, my experience has been significantly less annoying by not bothering with staying to eat… So maybe try takeaway for a better experience!

I est at moes once a week cause i love their food but even tho I always order the same thing, earmuffs, the price changes or they try to charge extra for guavamole. I had to literally walk over to the menu board one time to show cashier the price then she had the nerve to tell me that the giant lighted menu board was wrong. Never see a manager there. Kids run the place and the setup is confusing. They need an efficiency expert in there. A grownup would help too.

Every time I come here and get hard tacos to go by the time I get home they are a soggy mess. How come Taco Bell can make taco shells that stand up to liquid and you guys can’t. Other than that the food is ok but I don’t come here when I’m in the mood for tacos. But the staff is always friendly and you get your food fast. Maybe I should eat in the dining room so I can eat a taco with a crispy shell.

The food is good at Moe’s and this location is clean, its just a little slow. Compared to other locations I’ve been to, it seems like there are a lot of young kids working here and they aren’t the quickest. I’m often watching them have private conversations while the place is packed. The line can get pretty long sometimes and even though there is ample seating, it fills up quick. Its in a large shopping center with a nice sized parking lot. The staff might not be as quick as I’d like but they are always friendly.

Another example of why I don’t know why I even walk into this place, and the final straw. No cheese and not beans?! Are you kidding? You do realize those are two ingredients in almost everything on the menu I right? Not to mention the portions given are borderline hilarious… total disappointment as usual

Lot of reviews of the childish acts behind the counter … Obviously the place is Mexican fast food but the unprofessionalism and sub par quality only motivates me to look elsewhere when I need a quick bite … Way more satisfied getting steamed chicken and vegetables right next door.

It’s good for what it is. semi fast mexican. Everything is fresh and made to order. It’s a little slow when it’s busy, but the food quality is consistent and fresh. My kids love the soda machine. I love the food and great variety of salsa has several varieties, some seasonal. Overall good place for takeout or dine-in

The food selection is good. I have been here several times and for the majority of the times I have had a good experience. I have ordered chicken and steak with my meals in different Occasions. With the steak it’s always been great but every time I order chicken It’s been dry. The customer service is good.

Well I stopped here last night for a few tacos and left disgusted. all the girls behind the counter were wearing gloves, great right? Well they were cleaning the place up handling the spray chemicals, scrapers, dirty rags, ect… You get the point! Well when I walked up to order they didn’t change their gloves before putting together my tacos! And they stick their dirty gloves right into the condiment bins!!! Very gross. I won’t be going here again!

I like moes franchise. But this place has kids working which don’t know what they are doing. Been there a couple of times food is prepared sloppy need to clean up act. I got to moes in Greenvale much better.

The one thing I care about when it comes to any restaurant(be it fast food or a formal affair) is consistency. If ordering food from the same place turns into Russian Roulette, there is a problem. This Moe’s location is hit or miss(and unfortunately it is usually the latter). The lines tend to get long because nobody realizes you can order ahead for big orders(seriously, I don’t want to stand behind some goon ordering for his entire extended family) but I can’t fault the employees for that. What I can fault them with is their general lack of organization which often exacerbates how bad the lines get and results in a multitude of order errors. The employees themselves often seem stressed or annoyed with everyone that comes in the door which makes me believe that this location needs some work(probably a management issue). The end result of ordering here is the occasionally well-made meal but often an under or over cooked one. The organization issue on the cook line means your food could be on the grill for way too long and drying everything out. The friendliness of the employees seems to hinder anyone speaking up about issues with their order, meaning nobody is learning from their mistakes. If you beat the lunch or dinner rush, this place can be pretty good. However, if you end up there at any slightly busy time, it is really hard to say how your food will turn out.

My first visit… seems a bit grimy to me. Employees throw the food onto the plate like they are slinging trash. The cashier was confused at best either too stupid to ring up or maybe just totally out to lunch. Asked for one beverage got two. Have no idea what she charged as she immediately threw the receipt to the side all crumpled. The patron in front of us was charged for his meals and the person in front of him. So she opened the register and counted out cash for him. Again, providing no receipts, tossed the evidence to the side. I think this place needs a management review. The food was not bad but far from the best. Very Large portions. The guacamole was good and the pork tender. Doubt I will return

It’s a shame since a Moe’s in the local area has such potential. Not a big fan of the layout and ordering process, but I could definitely look past it if it were my only complaint or concern. The food was okay. The service was okay. No real complaints about taste, ingredients, etc. I was a bit put off by the price — seems a little bit high for the quality of ingredients, portion size and the fact that you have to bring your own food to your table and clear it off. Love the Coke machine. More fast food establishments need to get these beautiful pieces of carbonated beverage apparatus. Drink combinations are endless. Loved my cherry, lime diet Coke. For Mexican in the area(although not in the immediate area) my money is on Mesquite in Sound Beach, Salsa Salsa in Port Jeff or Funchos in Riverhead in terms of good quality, fresh, affordable, and tasty, handcrafted food.

I did get a good recommendation for Moe’s from a coworker and there were a couple of positive reviews here on Unilocal. At the end of the day Moe’s does not compare to Salsa Salsa or Green Cactus.(note to self, go back to Green Cactus soon). The Burrito I had was just OK. None of the ingredients tasted overly fresh or robust. The Nacho’s we just a sopping mess. I think the chips themselves are fine. These are fresh fried in store and they seamed to be crisp and tasty. All of the toppings(which is why most people get nachos) are wet and this soaks into the chips with amazing speed. The quesso cheese also is not impressive. It kind of reminds me of a cheese soup. So I’m doubting I’ll go back. If I make the decision early enough, there are plenty of other places to get Mexican food.
