Pompei Pizzeria & Restaurant

This is a great family owned place ! The food is always so delicious with a huge selection of different kinds of pizza. My absolute favorite is the seafood salad. It is always sooo fresh and delicious and did I say HUGE! The staff is also extremely friendly. The prices are also very affordable. I give it five stars!

Service was perfect. Workers were quick and helpful. Pizza was picture perfect and delicious — as it is every time we have been there. Very clean dining area. Definitely worth the visit!

Delicious traditional Italian food! Went here yesterday and had shimp parm dinner and a slice of pizza, my husband got chicken francese, we shared two appetizers, fried calamari and baked clams, absolutely delicious! For a small pizzeria they were really busy and I was happily pleased with both the food and the service. Friendly and polite staff, I will def. Be back with my family!

Just walked out of this mess of a place. No regular pizza for 15 min. So i get a white slice and they don’t have a side of sauce. How do you not have sauce! Oh they did but in the back. the young man says he cant leave the front to get it. Last time i go there! Terrible service at its finest!

For a «pizzeria» there food was very good. We sat in the back room and ordered eggplant parmigiana and rigatoni all a vodka with meatballs. Enormous portions. The eggplant and rigatoni were both excellent and being Italian and growing up with homemade meatballs every Sunday I have to say the meatballs here were very good. The homemade bread was delicious. I will definitely be back.

If I could give them no stars if I could! The owner is completely rude, nasty, and has no idea how to treat customers. Along with other issues the last time I visited my mother’s and my order were wrong. After driving 20 minutes away to my destination to find out the food in the box was not what we ordered I called and explained. I was told bring it back and he would «swap» the food out. Explained I was far away he said «well that’s all I will do» and hung up the phone before I could say another word. I went back and said I just wanted a refund. He gave me my money and took the food (which I’m sure was then placed back on the counter to be served to someone else) no apology at any time and when I said my family will no longer be coming here he simply said «okay». He needs a definite attitude adjustment and should care more about when his business makes mistakes and his customers are unsatisfied.

I love this restaurant !!! The food is amazing and the staff is very friendly and polite! For sure one of my favorite places to eat!

Not only is the food exceptional (as always) but today I witnessed the great integrity of the staff at Pompeii. A fellow diner was waiting for her pizza with her son who was autistic. He was becoming impatient (I’m sure all of us were excitedly awaiting the fresh pizza coming out of the oven) so he was walking back and forth and expressing his impatience. His mother kept apologizing and the men behind the counter were so kind. They kept assuring her that they also have children so don’t worry, offered to cut her son’s pizza into smaller pieces, and made all of the diners comfortable. Will be exclusively coming back here for pizza from now on.

This place is great! My husband and I stopped in here starved and got delicious food in a very timely manner. Had a few of their specialty pizzas, one with eggplant (which was my favorite) and one very cheesy deep dish broccoli slice (which my husband thoroughly enjoyed!). Good service, great price, tasty pizzas. Highly recommend, will be back.

Was not happy with my visit. I ordered 2 pies one regular and one chicken buffalo over the phone. Let me start of by saying i paid over the phone because my friend was picking them up on his way over. When he got their he called to tell me that they said i never paid. So i called right away. The guy tell me to give him my card again. So i did just to have him tell me my friend paid. I asked if this was a joke? Why take my card again if my friend is gone. So this already gives me a bad taste for this place. When my buddy comes over the regular pie has no taste to it and the buffalo chicken was the same also. I will never buy from them again and need to watch my credit card because i didnt like how they handled it.

I’ve been here 30 minutes waiting on chicken wings and a salad. My food still isn’t ready. They said it would only take 15 minutes, but «we’re sorry, you’re order didn’t make it back to the kitchen.»
There’s 3 employees here, and none of them seem to have a clue that they actually work in a restaurant.

I love this place. A must every time I am in town. Sit down in the back and enjoy the main menu. Yes, pizza is good but you will LOVE the menu.

I aways come here for the pizza and dinners and always leave happy and with a smile. there garlic knot are the best i ever had the pizza is thin and crispy and very flavorful the staff is frendly and makes u feel like apart of the family. I alway see the counter staff carry dinner boxes out to the customers car love this place

hands down some of the best pizza, pasta, and subs on Long Island. I have been going to Pompei since I was a class cutting high schooler at Rocky Point High down the street, and to this day, I always make sure to hit up Pompei when I am on long island visiting my family– owned and operated by authentic Sicilians and renowned in the Italian culinary community for authentic Italian cuisine with a new york spin– as evidenced by their wall of fame that displays the owner posing with the likes of giada delaurentiis (everyday italian), half the cast of the sopranos, among others–
Eat in their more formal restaurant towards the back, grab and go take out, or order at the counter and chill and feast in their more casual window seating up front.
My go-to’s are the grandma, Sicilian, ziti, and white pies, but their rice balls and sub sandwiches are spectacular as well. I literally have dreams about their eggplant parmesan subs, as there is nothing comparable on the west coast! Don’t forget to grab a few powdered sugar dusted zeppoles for dessert if they’re available that day– you wont regret it!
It’s funny how some of the reviews remark on the «poor customer service» and saltiness of the counter staff– NYers are brash, gruff, and sometimes curt– you fools don’t know this by now? hahaha– I’m not going there to be romanced by the staff, so as long as the food is on point, which it always is, i don’t need my ass to be kissed– B)
Pompei is truly a hidden gem tucked away in this rocky point strip mall, and it is definitely worth checking out and ordering from– has been consistently excellent for many many years !!!

This is some good pizza! With friendly staff. They even made sure the clean my table before I sat down.
The baked ziti pizza was excellent. Very light on the sauce which it perfection for me. Loved it!

Good pizza, but they kinda make up the prices daily. I gotten 2 chicken parm slices and coke several times. The price goes from $ 8 to $ 13 ???

Great pizza, knots, stuffed slices. Food is always fresh. These guys are from Bensonhurst Brooklyn they do it right. I go here consistently much better then the rest in area.

The eggplant parm pizza is AMAZING! The best I’ve had anywhere. One slice is like a whole meal it’s so thick. Also, the zeppoli are crispy & light– really delicious.
I don’t know about the rest of the menu, since I don’t eat meat & the eggplant is perfection! But everything looks great & it’s always busy when I come into the store. Also, never had a problem with the staff– always helpful & friendly.

I stand behind this review, pretty good pizza in Long Island! I never had a hero here, only pizza and, its not even a rice ball. It’s a $ 2 spaghetti like rice ball that was really good. I swung in today for lunch and the pizza is on point. Rocky Point if you will.
$ 4 Blue Point beer is a little stiff, I still dig it here. Giada and Ray Romano have their pictures here, why are they coming to the Point?
