Beer, Beer, Beer, that’s why you come! The nachos, cheese fries rock! Good Buffalo Chicken sandwich too! Sports, beer and bar food! Don’t expect anything more! If you like that! It’s a 5 star!

I only come here because my husband likes the fries. Honestly, it is okay bar food but there are so many good choices why eat here? Full disclosure, I am biased, I hate this place.

Our waiter was wonderful, helpful, anticipated our needs etc. Our food was pretty good too, grilled chicken salad, cheeseburger, and corn dogs for our child. This is a very inexpensive, quick, casual type place, not a place to take a date. Everything tasted and seemed fine. My problem was the conversation the Saturday night dinner manager had with another server within earshot of customers. I wish I was making this up. Manager: «Dude stop picking your nose» Server: «Sorry». Manager: It’s ok, but you were really digging in there”. There wasn’t a mention of hand washing, food safety, nothing. I couldn’t finish the rest of my meal because if that was the talk on the floor around customers I was afraid what the kitchen was like. What started as a great experience was quickly ruined.

1st time at snuffers. Had the Texas sweet tea onion burger! Not or the timid. Big juicy and messy but well worth it! Nice staff folk. Cheese fries too. All good.

The fries were amazing! However that was the highlight of the meal. My coffee was ice cold, the angus fried steak tasted weird and to much salt, the«mash potatoes» were box made. To end the horrible experience the car in front of us was broken into. Overall id recommend fries any day thats about it.

I like Snuffers but the service at this location is the worst. Messed up orders, slooooow service, food brought out cold. Each time I come the service seems to be worse. Very disappointing !

I like this place. It was our go-to when my friends and I moved here from California. We met here often. Good burgers, cold beer and those cheese fries — gotta love ‘em(but don’t eat too much!). This last visit, Roman, our waiter, was great! He laughed at my joke«Did you hear about the Pepsi employee who lost his job? — He tested positive for COKE!» Later, guys.

Love the burgers and fries here but the guacamole leaves a bit to be desired. It was a bit on the bland side — unlike the flavor of the guacamole at Chipotle! Strawberry margaritas are tasty as well and service is usually pretty consistent. Love the patio that overlooks the lake!

Haven’t been here in awhile. We usually go into Dallas to places like Off-Site Kitchen and other places. I remember Snuffers on Greenville ave over 33 years ago as the best place to go to for the original burger. The manager was very friendly when we walked in. Our waitress, Lauren, was great. The burgers were good just like I remembered. The fries could have used more salt. Will visit here again especially when you have management and staff as attentive as they were.

Love this place! Best cheese fries around! We hadn’t been in awhile and had a kid free night so we decided to go. Our server was super friendly and quick with drinks. We liked the view of the lakefront the outside seating area. Can’t wait to return!

My family and myself came here for dinner and this place is great! The staff is very attentive and very helpful with suggestions on what to get on the menu . I had the hickory burger which was excellent. It is far from my house(I live in downtown Dallas) but I will be coming back again.

This used to be *the* place to get a *really* good burger. My family went in one day and and sat down to eat. There is no longer an option to get a half-pound burger. They got a new menu. We found out that a quarter-pound burger on the new menu is the same price as a half-pound burger on the old menu. No big deal, at least he quality is great. Wrong! We asked the waitress and the manager about the horrible quality and taste. It turns out, they switched food suppliers. They now use the same supplier as prisons! Snuffers is now serving institutional«food». You can get a better burger from McDonald’s(not an exaggeration). Avoid this place at all costs!

This snuffers has a cool location with view of the lake from the patio(ok, yeah, the lake and I-30 but just try to ignore it). I’ve spent many a meal at the original OG location on Greenville Ave. I get that the dark, creepy atmosphere there worked for ya, but why don’t the newer Snuffer’s locations have some sort of update? The creepy old family pictures on the wall was COOL at the haunted location(whoa is that fella lookin’ at me??). At others it’s just kind of weird. Another bitch i have about the ambiance is the effing lighting. I HATE new lightbulbs with the horrible way they make you look. Rockwall restaurants in general have horrible lighting. Nearly every restaurant is all lit up like a motherfuckin’ christmas tree, I guess it’s because of all the old people needing to try to see their menu/food/dentures or whatever, but I swear to you the ambiance would be SOMUCH nicer if it wasn’t like you sit in interrogation the whole time you try and eat. Or in near dim bad lightbulb darkness like at this location. I digress. We started with the cheese fries. Oh, they haven’t changed and they are still uh-maaaazing. I had a chicken sandwich, their«burger» of the month. It was really good with bacon, avocado, garlic aoli and arugula. It was lighter and less heavy than a burger but being in Snuffers and smelling the lovely burger smells, well, that chicken sammy did not scratch my itch. So, I’ll be back– even with the bad lighting. :)

I was shocked to see this only had 3 stars. This is a burger, fries, and beer joint so don’t come in expecting to be wowed by a crazy menu or something fancy. Order a burger, loaded fries, and a beer and you’ll be happy. I like to sit outside when the weather’s nice.

Great place to go for drinks with a great view of the lake. The cheese fries are excellent and served in generous portions. They claim to have invented the cheese fries, and that is an absolute lie. What does Wikipedia think? Good beer, good times, great burgers. However, you can find good cheese fries all over the country. Eskimo Joes is better and my friend Wiki agrees.

They invented the cheese fries, which if historically true should get them a pat on the back. If they are telling a lie, well you still have to give them a pat on the back for trying to make you believe it. Snuffers Rockwall sits on top of a hill overlooking the meadow formally known as lake ray hubbard. Inside the normal fare, burgers, fries and beer. The burgers are nothing special, as the buns they serve them on absolutely kill any chance of them being winners. This terrible bread falls apart into crumbs as you eat, meaning you will have to finish your burger with a fork. Absurd! The service is bad to average, but never good. The wait staff bless their hearts are consistently bad. We had to explain to one of them what«fried» meant. Yes. Truly. The cheese fries here are legendary, and well earned. These greasy, sticky, calorie infused fries are a Texas Legend, and you need to say you had some. Really, its cheese with fries rather than fries with cheese. Order them«swiss cheddar style» and thank me later. Snuffers seemed to be better back in the day, but so did everything. This place is OK, and I will likely eat there when someone requests it, but I will not go out of my way.
