Great store when you want personalized knowledgeable help. They’ve got a variety of just about everything you’re going to need for your home — think local hometown hardware store. Found two items there that weren’t carried by Home Depot(special types of bolts and clamps). That said, their selection of brands per item is limited, as they are not a chain. A few of the items are old but ‘new’, so us oldies can find things that aren’t manufactured anymore, such as my favorite spatula when I was in my young adult era. Definitely recommend this place, especially for your hard to find items.

I like to shop local, so when my boyfriend and I needed to go to a hardware store that also sold gardening stuff, I looked for a local place that fit the bill. Google said this place was a nursery and hardware store and we though«Perfect!» I wish you could do half stars so I could give them 3.5, because they were reaaaally nice and helpful. They just barely had anything we needed. There was a tiiiiny selection of pots for gardening and their selection of soils was almost all Miracle Gro. blech. I got a trowel, some dish soap(not on the list, but hey, I needed some and they had it), and a rechargeable flashlight. We also needed some shelving, and their selection on that was very limited, as well. The guy said that if we go on Ace and order what we need, it can be delivered to the store for us for no charge, so that’s pretty cool, but if you need something right away, that’s not the most satisfying. They have a lot of random stuff, including kitschy soda and such, so it was really fun to look around. I really just wish they’d had what we needed.

Family owned and operated. I had keys cut here and all worked great. There is an amazing amount of varied hardware goods at this store. I even bought a pair of reading glasses for one dollar.

Do yourself a favor and stop at White’s BEFORE you go down the road to Home Depot. Unless you are looking for lumber, sheet goods or other serious building supplies… they probably have it at White’s. And even more, they will walk you down the aisle to point out the item you need. As opposed to the standard HD response: «i think it’s in aisle 19… or maybe the back west corner».(Assuming you find anyone to actually talk to you as opposed to quickly moving away and avoiding eye contact). White’s is just a great place.

I love shopping local and this is a great place for your hardware needs. When was the last time you walked it to Home Depot and someone asked you if they could help you? Never. When you walk in to Whites there is always someone that is knowledgeable and helpful. You would be amazed at what you could find in this place. I was looking for a obscure light bulb. I went to H D and they did not have it and no one knew what I was talking about. I went to Whites and I had it in my hand with in minutes of walking in the door. Love this place!

Yes, there is a monster Home Depot just a mile away. And Yes that Home Depot has nearly 25X the shelf space. The problem is, when you need something specific at that Home Depot, you spend hours walking around looking for it, or asking some teenager to help you find it. God forbid… if you don’t know exactly what you need, and you want someone to help you brainstorm about a project. You’re usually rewarded with blank stares and slack jaws at Home Depot. That’s not the case at this little hole in the wall. I’ve been in time and time again, not knowing what I needed to finish a job. I’ve talked to they guys behind the counter, and they’ve always been able to help me get the right supplies within 5 minutes. You’d be amazed at the variety of stuff they cram into this little place. It just kind of sucks that they are closed on Sunday… and that is one of the days I need them most.
