Recently enjoyed lunch this past Sunday and the food was delicious! My bf and I first had a sushi platter, and the scallops were to die for! Then he had a steak and I ordered some shrimps: both really tasty! And I also recommend the blueberry lemonade cocktail, very refreshing!

Came here with a friend for dinner, the service was fast and courteous. The food however could’ve been better. We ordered the Tako salad, dragon roll, maki combo and sashimi deluxe. The Tako salad was supposed to be served with ponzu sauce but the waitress poured soy sauce in it instead which made it taste salty. The sushi was on the warm side which made the sushi taste weird. I think the rice was just cooked and not cooled enough. The chopsticks they used was the reusable wooden chop sticks but they where a bit splintered. I don’t mind if restaurants wants to use permanent chopsticks but don’t use wood. After being run through the dish washers a few times they splinter not exactly the best sensation to feel when you’re eating. The ginger salad dressing was very off they put way too much ginger pulp in the dressing so it was a very bad texture.

On my one visit, a scurrying young woman managed efficiently to serve every customer, both eat-​in and take-​out, at this tidy storefront restaurant. The meal was good. I admired the young woman’s energy.

I used to go here for the lunch specials which is you typical DMV bogo for mediocre sushi. The other night, I enjoyed some of their real sushi entrees and was blown away with the freshness and flavor.
I absolutely love sushi places that have chefs that have fun and express sushi as works of art. The sushi game is strong within this 5 mile radius of MoCo!

Huge improvement after remodeling both the restaurant and menu! Before, I always found the food mediocre at best, but they’ve made a huge turnaround with great quality food for good prices too. Service was always great and still is!

Ugh. I really wanted to like this place because it’s so close by. I ordered through Unilocal’s EAT24 website and had my boyfriend pick it up. I’ve eaten here only once in the past, but it was a few years ago and it sounded like the place went through a renovation recently.
Unfortunately the salmon roll didn’t taste very fresh and I couldn’t finish them because I was too «fished out», and I also never received miso soup or salad that was part of the roll orders. Sorry. Not going to order from here again when there’s Yoyogi.

This is my favorite sushi /​Japanese restaurant in the area. I go here at least once a week. First, the service is impeccable. Second, the food is fantastic. Sushi is fresh with large portions of fish. Tempura is light and flavorful. Bento boxes are visually stunning and filling. They recently remodeled and the ambiance feels like a little oasis. Go here once and you’ll want to come back all the time!

I love this place. I’ve been going for a long time and I always look forward to my visits. Yes, there are very few people in there whenever I go, but they do a lot of take out business. It’s delicious and fresh and the service is great. Particularly if you are deciding between this and, say, tapai Tokyo, choose this place. Less cocktails than the other (none, no license) but just better food and the service is so much better.

They’ve recently done a complete restaurant makeover and it looks beautiful. Their food is delicious and fresh and the service is always fast. I absolutely love this place and it definitely deserves 5 stars for the price of their food. It’s a very small place and they only have one waitress but their service is still amazing. They also have a bar now with a bartender.

Kimo has a few good rolls, and a nice beef teriyaki, but the flavors are neither exciting or impressive. Good for a quick meal or take out, but really nothing exceedingly special.

I love the sushi here, but make sure you ask for a fair distribution between rice and fish else your sushi is gonna be primarily rice. But if you ask for it they will hook you up royally.

I went into this restaurant last week for carry-​out. When I first walked in, it was nearly dead with me being the only person in the restaurant, when it was around 7:30pm on a Saturday.
I would understand why no one decides to sit inside the restaurant and eat. The atmosphere almost seems somewhat spooky and dark, with all the windows covered up with some oriental blinds. But honestly, the food here is actually not bad…
I ordered a smoked eel hand roll, a smoked salmon hand roll, and a Philadelphia Roll (which is 6 pieces of sushi with cream cheese, avocado, and salmon). Everything I got was very tasty and delicious… nothing really wrong about it.
But I am only giving this restaurant four stars because they really need to amp up their atmosphere. Going in, I felt like I was going to get a roach stuck in between my sushi… not very flattering. They need to clean up the place and make it brighter!

The sushi is meh, but the Sesame Chicken (In Japanese Style) is awesome! The atmosphere is nice. Pretty quiet and there’s always some light music playing. Not super amazing, but it isn’t bad.

I don’t come to these type of joints for fresh sashimi or sushi. I come here for CHEAP rolls! I’ve been coming here since high school since its so close to my parents home. I really like their california rolls — its a pretty big portion. There are lunch specials that give you 2 rolls for about $ 6. I’ve tried their sushi, and although they were not rotten or sour, it was not good quality. They have a bunch of specialty rolls that are yummy as well — I would recommend the volcano roll.

This is a small venue located on Darnestown road, right by Ledos. Its not a bad place. Its clean and the service is good.
My friends love coming here for lunch which I don’t understand. The sushi is so-​so. I came here twice and the sushi has been warm each time. There’s also usually no one here when I come for lunch. (usually an indication that this place sucks). On the other hand the vento boxes aren’t too bad.
I would not recommend this place nor come back here ever again.
