I was horribly disappointed in both my Brazilian and eyebrow wax. I’ve had thick, black eyebrows my entire life and have been to many estheticians since I was 12 years-​old. This was the worst waxing I’ve ever had. Not only did their esthetician burn me, but she made my eyebrows thin and uneven. The one is clearly shorter than the other, and I specifically told her I prefer my eyebrows thicker. She butchered them! I’m so frustrated that I have to completely grow them out again.
Also, my Brazilian burned my skin for a SECOND TIME! I even told the esthetician she had burned me the last time, and it still hurt for days afterwards. She is a super nice person to chat with, but her services are not Aveda quality. I work in the Town Center, and I will be telling my colleagues to stay clear of the Aveda.

I can’t give this place enough stars!!! Tammy and Tia are amazing stylists that truly care about their clients and want them to feel great when they walk out the door. They take the time to listen and ask questions about your hair and skin and take extra care to make you comfortable. They are also very professional and knowledgeable about haircare. I absolutely adore this place, have been coming for years and will continue to come in the future

Gianne is the best! I am multi-​racial with naturally curly/​wavy hair, not all hair stylists know how to manage my hair texture, Gianne does. Aveda products are ah-​mazing and the customer service is superb. Also, I’ve received numerous compliments on my color and hairstyles throughout the years.

I’ve had my hair cut by several stylists here and I’ve been pleased with each. I am currently working with Tammy. I went last week. The shampoo experience is excellent. Clean and relaxing environment. I know this is a corporate salon, but I think that has its advantages because the staff are well trained on current techniques. I will continue to go here. I think the prices are fair for the quality.

I currently went from extremely long hair to a shoulder length bob, done by another salon. When it grew out my hair was super thick and couldn’t get an appointment with my normal hair stylist so a few friends referred me to Tammy and boy was I not let down.
The receptionist was super nice! I waited very shortly for my appointment with Tammy.
The shampoo part was amazing! Shampoo included a scalp and neck massage along with a hot towel. So relaxing.
Tammy gave me the hair cut of my life. Absolutely love it, she knew exactly what I wanted. Her layers are super awesome and she thinned my hair out perfectly!
GO SEE TAMMY, SHE WILL GIVE YOUR HAIR LIFE!

I love Aveda! They really listen to their customers and take every single thing they have to say in to consideration.
I’ve gotten both my cut and color here and always go home satisfied.
I recommend going to Tammy or Chelsi! They do an awesome job making the clients feel at ease.
Also an additional FYI: they do take card, but the tip HAS to be cash.

Best salon around! The stylists and other service providers sincerely care about their guests. The girls are always attending advanced education classes so they are always up to date with trends and techniques.

I came in for a cut ages ago, and the stylist with whom I had an appointment was running late. They kept telling me it would be «5 more minutes», but after 30 minutes of that I left. I received an email from the salon director apologizing and offering a free hair cut with her. I’ve contacted the salon almost 10 times now hoping to redeem this «free haircut», but have never heard back. It’s a shame; I was impressed by the offer, since I hadn’t really made a fuss about leaving, but I’m very disappointed by the lack of response.

All the girls at this Aveda are awesome! They definitely know how to cut my hair… and they kno not to touch my beard so that’s a plus!

I have always had excellent service at this Aveda salon. I feel Lindsay is definitely a level 3 stylist, her skill level, customer service and demeanor is what keeps me coming back every month! Thank you for a great job!

Warning do not use this salon.
They say Aveda but they don’t follow Avedas protocols.
This salon ruins hair and destroyed my wife’s.
They don’t care and make no effort to compensate for their destruction.
If you want dry brittle washed out hair in a day after your appointment go here and use Lindsey.
Terrible and you should avoid at all costs

I just walked in, to inquire about products. One woman at the front desk was friendly, but the other was unfriendly and more concerned with engaging in conversation with her co-​worker. The Aveda in King Farm has friendly staff.

Got a facial here and it was just ok. For $ 100+ I want to leave with my face glowing!

I’m really impressed with this salon… Mostly with the human interaction that goes on here. Everyone is BEYOND friendly and charismatic. You walk in and there are warm greetings and it’s obvious that they love your business. There services are wonderful and definitely worth the price.
I’m sorry this place isn’t closer to me, I’d be in all the time.

I have been to 3 different stylists here, they all did a good job on my wavy hair and they are very accommodating. I just saw Anna for the first time and she is great! The salon prices are on par with most good salons in the metro DC area.
A bonus is that the salon is always very quiet and peaceful!

Anna is an amazing stylist! Rachel does amazing facials! I have never had a bad experience there. Clean, quiet and very professional.

I got a haircut and an eyebrow waxing– both were just ok. I got the feeling that my stylist was not very experienced so I did not ask very much of her– just trim a little and DO NOT attempt to razor my thin straight hair. She managed to do that fine. I would have liked more of my side swept bangs but did not want to risk it.
My eyebrows were not very good. There were still alot of hairs under the brow that could have easily been plucked. The shape is kinda messed up too– but at least they are both the same. Also she did not trim my brows at all– goog thing i can do the clean up myself. So overall my glass is half full. I’m happy with my service but I don’t think I’ll be returning for anything other than buying hair products.
Update– I did have a pretty decent back massage here. Very relaxing.

Located in the lovely Rockville Town Square area. I got a hollywood wax here with Elena. Make sure you know if you want a brazilian vs a hollywood which is different. There’s a difference in how much they wax which is good to note. Price is typical salon prices around $ 65 to have everything removed and $ 55 for the front only. Elena was very gentle and she made sure I felt comfortable. She did a great job! My only complaint is that they didn’t tell me there was a difference as mentioned above so I ended paying more than I expected to pay.

This was my follow up email to my disaster, it gives all the details:
My appointment today at your salon in Rockville, MD with Yan Lai did not go as planned. She was difficult to communicate with and understand. She did call my salon in Pennsylvania to get my formula but I fear she wrote it down wrong or didn’t double check. She did my roots and my hair is light, but my natural color is dark. It looks like I got my roots done to be reddish brown. My hair is highlighted and blond. I called back and the receptionist said I could return at 12:15. I told her I would call her back in 2 minutes. I did that and she said «Oh I meant 1:00, actually no 4:30…or can you come tomorrow… actually no she is booked, can you do Friday» Then they decided she could squeeze me in tomorrow at 1:00.
Historically, I have never ever had to do this, nor have I ever complained. When I did call back to complain the receptionist not only knew when Yan’s appointments were, but she had me to talk to Yan twice and both times she was difficult to understand and hard to communicate with. I feel like she is a very very nice person and would be very accommodating. But my fear is I will make all these accommodations to fix my hair and pay our sitter for her time to have it turn out worse than before.
I have gotten my hair done like this for 4.5 years. I have provided you with all the Aveda Salons and my stylist if you have any question if I am «one of those» clients. I truly am easy to please, and laid back. I am just so upset that this happened with no time to spare for my vacation and my family pictures.
And when my husband got home, he said «I thought you were getting your roots done today»…
I tried to get my money back and got no response.
I am filing a dispute with my credit card company.
