I am very pleased in saying that I have had the best Brazilian wax service ever performed in this spa! I have had plenty of mediocre and bad experiences when it comes to Brazilian waxing. But this was the best one I have ever received. I was greeted and treated by Angela. She’s not only great at doing wax, but she was so warm and welcoming and provided such a cozy atmosphere. She was great in conversation and did a perfect job. Pain? It’s always going to hurt. Let’s face it. However, she was so careful and provided the least pain I’ve ever experienced. I was so pleased with the spa in general, but I definitely will be back to see Angela!

I saw Angela at Lifespa for a brow wax and facial and she was absolutely great! Her waxing technique is extremely precise and thorough and her facials are not only great for improving the skin but they are also very relaxing. She is also great about educating her clients so that they understand the services they are being provided and the products she is using so that they can manage their skin properly at home. I’ll definitely continue going to Lifespa to see Angela for all of my esthetic needs.

I have been a member of Lifetime Fitness for several years along with other members of my family. While the gym itself is great the Spa is… how should I put this? Terrible? Awful? The treatments that I have received from LifeSpa are massages (Swedish and Deep Tissue). I could not tell the difference between them — meaning that their Deep Tissue is just a scam. About 75% of the massage therapists that treated me did not stop talking during the treatment and I left more stressed than relaxed. In addition, the reception is not particularly great. While the receptionists are typically friendly, they seem like they are always in a hurry and don’t really listen to what you are telling them. I was once put on a «brief» hold for 7.5 minutes. I called back, enraged, and demanded to speak to the supervisor. All in all, after my experience at LifeSpa I would definitely NOT recommend this Spa.

Afi has been doing my facials and brow threading for the past 5 years, and no words can describe what an AMAZING change her facials have had on my skin. From life-​long acne problems to combination skin, one visit with her and my skin feels calm, clean, and glowing. Don’t worry about which facial to schedule as she always takes a close look and recommends based on your skin’s needs. I have to say, Afi is by far amongst the best estheticians in the DC area.
For those looking for the nitty-​gritty… Located at the lower level of the Life Time fitness center in Rockville, MD, this full service spa and salon is not just for its gym members. The website is usually up-​to-​date on services and pricing, and allows for same day appointments, although I always call. The front desk staff, Nahal, Silvia and Theresa are always super friendly and accommodating, making the entire experience everything a trip to the spa should be.
Although I have never tried it, there’s also a healthy snack/​smoothie/​café on the main level and amazing NY deli in the plaza across the street (hubby approved).

I was able to get an appointment within a day for a facial. The staff at the spa/​salon desk took me back to the waiting area, which was relaxing. There is a television which was pretty loud in the lobby area, but once you stepped into the spa section, it was a totally different atmosphere — so tranquil! The waiting area had a soothing waterfall fountain thing, but only a few chairs. It is not as cozy as some of the other spas I’ve been to since there were no ottomans or chaises to prop your legs up.
My esthetician came to greet me after a few minutes of sitting. She was friendly and introduced herself. The room and bed for the facial were pretty normal — nothing fancy like heated blankets or anything. The esthetician convinced me to get a hydrating facial for $ 25 more than the signature facial. (FYI, their website is not totally up to date, their signature facials «start at $ 68» but is actually $ 99). When I went to check out, I realized they misquoted, and my total came to be $ 128.
With the treatment itself, I was cold for most of the time even with the blankets. I enjoyed the deep cleaning, exfoliation, mask, and moisturizing — I definitely had a glow when I left the premises. It also came with a hand and foot massage, and a shoulders and neck massage. The massage was just okay, it was a nice to have, but didn’t really relieve any of my tension… then again, I came for the facial.

I came back due to my first experience, this time around it was not that great, my nephew could have done my massage. My masseuse seemed very inexperienced, I will not be returning.
