Regularly get crab cake and seaweed salad from them. It is tasty. Do not get their soups, overly salty and just yuk. Lobster roll is small and bland.

Really did enjoy the lobster roll I got from the truck, but I do agree it’s slightly overpriced for the portion size. On the plus side no super long lines, food was fresh and the process was fast. Good for those of us on a quick lunch trip to the Farmer’s Market who need to get back to work fast.

Price quality ratio is 10⁄3! And don’t even get me started on quantity… I was fooled by the raving reviews twice… But no more. Small, NO, tiny portions!!! Sky high prices… Second star was reluctantly added for the quality of crab cakes alone! Everything else is rubbish. Especially the soup… Looks and tastes like it is straight from a can!

I was fortunate to try Go Fish when one of my school’s PTAs had them cater our end of the year luncheon. To me, this was the coolest idea! The truck was there waiting for us when hordes of school staff arrived hungry and tired from the last day of school. They got the food out quickly and«deliciously». I was fortunate to try both the shrimp and fish tacos. I appreciated that the proteins in both were not fried. The veggies topped on were delicious and the perfect accompaniment. I would definitely go look for them out and about in the community. I can’t comment on the pricing as the PTA foot the bill. Definitely a great way to end the year!

My initial experience with the Go Fish truck was mediocre. I had the lobster roll, bc I had heard so much about them in general and wanted to try them for myself. It was okay. Very small for the price. I think it was about $ 14. I could have justified the price for such a tiny item if it were amazing, but it was just okay. The next time I visited the truck, I tried the Mahi Mahi fish tacos, and after eating the first one I thought they were okay, but I added Cholula Green Pepper sauce to the 2nd one and it changed everything… AMAZING. After that, I had my co-workers visit the truck for me EVERY time it was close to my office. The reasons that I cannot give more stars are 1. I feel that the tacos are kind of ‘meh’ without any condiments, and 2. On the occasions that I personally got to go to the truck, the owner(I’m assuming it was the owner), was not friendly at all/kind of rude even, and 3. They have frequent buyer cards that say«Buy 9 meals, 10th one free». The last time I visited, I ordered two meals and asked for a second stamp and she told me one stamp per visit. I think she needs to change the wording on the card. Ive been buying food from this truck weekly for about 2 years(weather permitting), and spending $ 15-$ 30 each visit. I even drove from Laurel to to Rockville once I stopped working out there, but I probably won’t be visiting anymore due to poor customer service. More money in my pocket!

I don’t know if life gets more convenient than this. Basically today, I walked out of my office. A truck was at my doorstep. I ordered fish tacos and a cup of new england clam chowder. Paid with a credit card(didn’t even have to walk to the ATM). Basically, I haven’t been able to walk out my door and walk to easy access to fish tacos since Baja Mexico. This concept is awesome. Clearly Go Fish is one of the better food trucks that makes it out to the office parks in Montgomery County. I have repeatedly ordered the fish tacos(2 for $ 10), which is described as «Fresh Mahi, seasoned and grilled, topped with crunchy Lime-cilantro slaw, cheddar-jack cheese, smoky Chipotle cream & a sprinkle of fresh cilantro in two warm flour tortillas.» The tacos are very fresh but the sauce is poured on heavy and borders on tasting like mayo and thousand island dressing, but the seasoned fish and the cilantro and slaw toppings are fantastic. A good fish taco needs a little more lime. I’m probably being generous with the stars here for the convenience factor. The crabcakes($ 11) here are some of the best I’ve had. Mostly crab with very little filler. The clam chowder is ok. It’s $ 3 with a meal. Keep in mind the cup is filled only halfway up, so it’s pretty small in portion. It wasn’t overwhelming flavorful but I understand that their soups change daily and the crab soup is worth trying. Also good to know that the truck is also a market as Tara L. mentioned. Through Profish, Go Fish! provides fresh seafood that can be pre-ordered and picked up at truck locations. They offer Do it yourself options for a crab cake feast and lobster feast under their catering menu. So if you want to snag the«catch of the day» at Go Fish I recommend following them on MoCo’s food truck website:

The fish and shrimp tacos are amazeballs! When in the mood for seafood, google this truck and drive! I’ve been here a few times and I am a solid fan of the fish and shrimp taco combination(yes, you can get both). The shrimp are cooked to perfection and the fish is wonderful and flaky. The warm tortillas allow you to manage the perfect combined dollups of shredded cheese, shredded cabbage and chipotle cream sauce. Might I also add that they give the perfect amount of chipotle cream sauce on the tacos at all times. I once asked for extra, and by the time I remembered the extra cream, I had already eaten both tacos. The crab cakes are also yummy! And Ive heard rave reviews about the lobster rolls. You will be left happy and full and wanting more.

I finally caught the Go Fish truck and was very impressed as food trucks don’t always live up to expectations. I had the fish tacos(Mahi) and the Maryland crab soup. The fish tacos were very carefully prepared, chock full of ingredients, and two were a fair portion. With a side like soup or chips you’d be good for lunch. Fish pieces were small relative to the other toppings so the fish flavor didn’t come through that strong. One of the tacos was a little too«fishy» but I think that is just the dark vein you can get, the meat was fresh. Toppings were crisp. Cheese was great. Hot sauce on the side was appreciated. I like the Maryland crab. At $ 3 to add-on to a meal, it was priced perfect. Let’s face it, Maryland Crab is nothing special… It is basically minestrone with crab meat and Old Bay thrown in and I’ve never had a serving that I’d go back for intentionally, BUT I would for this one! It was just crabby enough, with a good quantity of meat that I really liked it. And it was good and hot. Still no She Crab Bisque ;) but it was good. Probably cost a buck/taco more than they should charge. For example, the mexican carts will charge your $ 2.50 for a carne asada loaded with meat. Granted fish is more expensive, but this wasn’t exactly loaded with meat. $ 4/taco seems right for a meal, maybe $ 4.50 if you only get one. I’ll have to try the shrimp next time. I avoided the lobster roll, which looked good, because I know if I spend $ 15 for a sandwich it better fill me up and it did not look like it would. I’ll definitely seek this truck out and visit it again. Next time I’m going in for a Salmon Burger or the Fish Bowl Salad. Lots of good options in a clean, efficient truck. Fast & friendly service. As an upside, today I visited them with the Shady Grove farmer’s market and it was nice to pick up some other items at the same time(veggies & home made pickles!). Everyone offers free samples. ;)

This was about the third time I’ve eaten from this food truck. They were out of fish tacos the first two times, and I had to «settle» for shrimp tacos(thumbs up), which are surprisingly cheaper($ 5 each). However, third time’s a charm. I got my fish taco($ 6 each/2 for $ 10). I liked it well enough; one was big enough to serve as a snack. They use mahi mahi. The fish wasn’t seasoned very much, and the sauce was a bit too mayonnaise tasting for my liking. It would of been nice if they offered a wedge of lime with it. California Tortilla does, and you can get two tacos and a soda for cheaper than this food truck’s single taco price.

The truck happened to be at Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville today. We have tried the food before and really enjoyed it so we were psyched that they were there. We split the lobster roll and boy was it ridiculously miniscule. I saw a photo on their website of their precious roll and it was not EVEN close to what we were served. I can get a whole lobster steamed for $ 9.99/lb at my local Giant so what gives with the stinginess here? Literally, I didn’t even eat my last bite because I didn’t have anything to drink and the doughy bun and little else made it hard to go down. I think they need to head to New England to see how its really done.
