Deer Creek Farm

Such a fantastic little store! Not only is the décor and little goodies you can buy absolutely adorable but the folks are beyond sweet and every purchase goes to such an amazing cause that is overlooked too easily :] Their Non-​Profit mission to employ and mentor at-​risk and aged out foster youth is a nothing short of inspirational. They wrap every gift with a little bow and make it all so cute. I suggest all my friends and family to go there

I happened into Deer Creek Farm while on a round-​trip walk while my car was having some work done. They have a pretty nice standalone not-​in-​a-​strip-​mall shop location that’s attractive and inviting. Home décor items and gifts along with lotions and various tokens. You see a lot of this stuff at other shops and fairly common. The prices here are not out of the ordinary.
The byline on the street frontage sign reads «by Compassion Planet» and I overheard a conversation inside that the store is operated not-​for-​profit; a true 501©(c3) for the benefit of at-​risk youth and aged-​out foster children. I also heard that the inventory changes fairly regularly and not always the same items visit to visit. These two elements make a difference for me. There’s a reason to shop here. I wish I wasn’t on a long walk as there were some cool things I’d like to have picked up … I will come again now that I know the story.
At home, I reviewed the website for Compassion Planet and it’s not a very good website. I like to read content not watch a video. I did find their vision and purpose buried in the «About Us» page — don’t you think that should be prominent on the first page. I had hoped to learn more about their project here but the website has no reference to the Deer Creek Farm shop. OK. this is not a review of the website, my apologies.

A wonderful store with an important purpose. Beautiful merchandise and reasonable prices. I will gladly continue to support them and wish them all great success.
