Thought I would try it a year later — burnt shrimp– incredibly bad takeout why did I bother going back? Seek chinese food elsewhere this place is still terrible

I occasionally like a fast dinner and we have been to this Pei Wei 3x. No matter what we order, it’s all unpleasantly salty. The flavors are good, but it’s just too salty. I asked the cook staff if we could substitute low-sodium soy, and he said, «no, the sauces are premade» with regular soy. Folks who aggressively tip the salt shaker will probably like it. We don’t, and we especially don’t appreciate Pei Wei’s indifference to the growing number of folks who have to limit salt intake.

We had a terrible take-out experience about a month ago which ended up talking with a manager and him almost unapologetically offering us gift cards to be delivered in the mail. Well, a month later and nothing in the mail. We did dine-in today and even though we did not remember the managers name that I talked to — Aaron quickly took care of us! It is really refreshing when someone takes care of you when you have a bad experience.

Hahahahah… I ordered sushi from here… hahahahah… You smell what I’m steppin in here… don’tcha??? Yeah…don’t get sushi… worst sushi I’ve ever had… rice was dry and falling off the roll… if you could call it a roll… obviously they premake the sushi and shove it in a fridge or something until it gets picked… Joke’s on me! Gross!

Ordered the Asian chopped salad. Terrible. Ice cold precooked chicken bone dry and barely there… all lettuce. Came without rice crunch noodles or sesame seeds as it says on menu. Bowl of lettuce and carrotts. Sweet and sour soup has so much corn starch it comes out like thick gelatin. Awful. Never go back.

Skip it, there was only one other couple in the place and we still wait 40 min for ½ our order. They didn’t bring both out at once, waited another 10 min for the other order. Food was cold, mushrooms were still raw.

Had a lot of Asian cuisine in my lifetime! Had a craving for fried rice or sushi or both! It doesn’t look like much from the outside. Passed it many times. Luckily, this time I stopped and got a carry out! Honey chix, the shrimp fried rice were phenomenal! Saw the sushi go by. Wished I had ordered that also. Lady up front, so welcoming!!! Will be a regular customer along with my sushi loving son coming home from the Air Force!

Great love that they have two portion sizes. Small portion was pretty good size. Dan Dan noodles are the best, you have to ask for extra spice as nothing comes super spicey

There are major problems going on at this pei Wei. My husband and I went last night for a quick dinner. We ordered our food at 8:27 pm and didn’t receive our food until 9:07. The only person who seemed to care about this issue was the young man bussing the tables and running out the food. I’m unfortunately done with this location. Second bad experience here. Save yourself the time and support a local Chinese place it drive to pf changes!

I am giving them a 5-star because I made the mistake of reading the reviews for this establishment, and I’m sorry, but«you people» are idiots. Let’s get one this straight… THISIS A FASTCASUALRESTAURANT. Know what the means? It’s *this close* to Burger King. This isn’t PF Changs, this isn’t Tao in Las Vegas… IT’S PEIWEIFORCRYINGOUTLOUD. The irony is that the mongolian beef and chicken wraps are the EXACTSAMETHING you get at PF Changs at literally ½ the price. The soups and Pad Thai are extremely good. the spicy chicken is amazing. I took my family of 4 there, ate all the things, had their amazing black and green iced tea, got fortune cookies, and it was $ 49 out the door. I seriously don’t know what you people expect, but for the love of all that’s good and holy, cook at home the next time you talk about eating out.

I don’t know that I ever«loved» Pei Wei. I feel like something’s missing with them, and I can never seem to find a favorite dish here. I’ve eaten at a few different locations of theirs, and I’m not overly impressed. For starters, I really like, okay, softly love Chinese food. I have enough taste buds left to know what I like and don’t like. But for corporate Chinese food, I just can’t get into Pei Wei. For starters, I used to get their sweet and sour chicken. I had to stop getting it(not at this location) because it tasted rancid. Like expired pineapple from a dented can left in the hot sun to rot. It had that tangy«don’t eat me» taste. Fine. So I found other stuff to eat. I’ve gotten different stuff here and tonight was no different. I went with the lo mien noodles with shrimp and veggies. Not bad. But not the greatest. Honestly, if I want awesome corporate Chinese food I’m going back to my home of Panda express! Panda Express is the holy grail of corporate Chinese and I love it there! The service and menu here is fine, it’s not that. I just am not overly impressed. Fast casual dining with some flare to it. This location is consistently clean, well staffed and on point.

Pei Wei’s email campaign is what keeps me coming back. After my last visit, I’m not sure if I will ever return. Pei Wei makes it very easy to order online and often provides BOGO coupons in their email. The new dishes that often come with the BOGO offers always look very good and peak our interest. Over the last 6 months, I have yet to receive a to go order with utensils, correct sauce or napkins. The sushi addition to the menu is completely awful at all levels. The rolls are 99% rice with very little filling. The rice was hard and chewy. Each roll was placed in a separate large to go box with no barriers or protection. When I got home my rolls had come undone and had been doused in wasabi. ewww. Plus, my order did not include chopsticks. Then my soup was cold and very tiny. It seriously took me three spoonfuls to empty the container. The cashiers all have the ‘my parents make me have a job’ and ‘I’d rather be at the mall’ attitude. A fake smile would be nice. Until the email marketing catches my optimism, so long…

Lettuce wraps… The best. Hot and Sour soup pretty good. Could have been hotter temperature wise. They do a huge carry out business.

Eaten here before with good results. The last few times have been pretty bad to say the least. My girlfriends chicken had a few raw pieces. Mine was chewy and tough. The few times before it was cd spring rolls and soup. I plan on just going to a neighborhood Chinese restaurant next time.

The Thai dynamite was so bad the other day i couldn’t way much of out. The chicken they served me were in huge chunks. if you order rice the gravy with entrée is non existent and the rice was so dull. Not going to have it for ages

Pei Wei was basically exactly what I expected it to be… fast, reasonably priced, and just about all-around decent. I was sort of really hungry and my girlfriend suggested nearby Asian food — and we didn’t want to wait. Pei Wei was the choice. I got the Sriracha(?) something-or-other entrée dealie with shrimp and fried rice(which was a dollar extra) and a cup for the Freestyle machine for a total of $ 12 and change. The restaurant is a decent size and looks nice as well. At just after 4 on a Tuesday, the place was pretty dead … so the food came out after a few short minutes. The portion sizes here aren’t very big, but the food was still pretty good. I’m glad I got the shrimp option: it was surprisingly tasty and I liked the crunchy batter. Not much else to say, really… it’s a Pei Wei. It’s basically an all-asian Noodles and Company, and so I rated it similarly. Pei Wei is far from authentic, but it doesn’t try to be. It is what it is, and that’s a decent, fast, and pretty reasonably priced meal.

Eh, not the best place to eat, especially when the concept came from the bigger brother PF Changs In Troy. I wouldn’t recommend either restaurant to be honest but if u absolutely must have this type of food well then please go to PF Changs. The food is just noodles put into a bowl with sauce and there u have it. The food is heavy greasy and is not food that makes you feel great after eating. The meals linger and are over priced. Go next door get jimmy Johns or even Buffalo Wild Wings… Definitely not the best choice in Rochester hills.

I love P.F. Changs(their parent company) and even though Pei Wei is not as good as them, they have several very good Asian dishes. We’ve been to this location dozens of times — and always have good service and food. The lettuce wraps are almost as good as P.F. Changs. Almost. My favorite dish is their Mongolian Beef! So good.
