Beware of what they are charging you!!! My most recent order came to over $ 22.00, without tax or delivery fees. Per the coupon that I had, I should have received 10% off for my order of over $ 22.00 and should have not been assessed a delivery fee for my order of over $ 15.00. When the delivery driver gave me the credit card slip to sign ITWASFOR $ 27.95!!! I inquired as to why I was charged so much, I was told that it was for the food, delivery fee(I’m a little over one mile away) and a processing fee for my credit card payment. I signed the slip but gave no tip. The driver then argued with me for not giving him a tip! When I explained that I had been overcharged and shouldn’t have been charged a delivery fee he continued arguing! I told him that I would no longer be ordering from his establishment!

Same owners but now called Eastern Gourmet. This is strictly a take out only establishment. I’ve had their egg foo young a few times and it’s good.

Mini Eden… why sell yourself short, right from the get go? Mini Eden… Whatever. Our food was not the greatest. My Shrimp Lo mein was pretty good though, that was the one up swing to ordering lunch. That, and the fact that they have super speedy delivery. Our egg drop soup had zero flavor. I told my coworker, maybe it has to do with it being freshly made, you know, none of the flavors have really melded together yet. I added some salt and pepper to mine, and it was at best edible. My coworkers… is still in the fridge I see. General Tso’s was rough and tough… not how chicken should be, and my coworker complained that her fried rice was loaded with onion… mine too, however, I wasn’t bothered by it. So if mediocre, inexpensive food is what you need on a cold day in Rochester… you may take your chances with Mini Eden…

Absolutely horrible food. The first time I order shrimp with lobster sauce. It had absolutely no flavor. However, it was pretty late so, I just thought they were closing soon and they were in a hurry to get out of there. I decided to give it another try and had it delivered. I figured you can’t go wrong with ABC. Well, hands down the worst ABC I’ve ever had. Extremely thick breading and the sauce tastes like nothing. The egg rolls were the best part of the meal.

I have know idea what was wrong with the other people who wrote reviews! After living in San Francisco for many years, my husband and I had AMAZING authentic chinese food, not the Americanized chinese food that many here in the midwest love. The best part was that we were able to order online! The menu was very easy to go through and choose. Being able to request such things as no bean sprouts was very easy. There was a lot of food for what we paid! It last us at least two days! We ordered a lot of vegetarian items, all which were fantastic. Veggies all cooked very well and tons of flavor! Veggie lo mein was good, the sauce wasn’t greasy and noodles were not doughy. Egg foo young was really good as well. Thicker than I have normally had them, but also really good with tons of veggies, again, cooked very well. The egg drop soup was awesome! It wasn’t that gelatinous mess you get from a lot of other places around here in Rochester. And the crab rangoons were out of sight!!! A total recommend from a family who has traveled the world and states trying many different types of food! Enjoy!

I’ve received take out from here many times and we’ve never had a problem with the food, but we usually stick to their family combo. Love the egg rolls and crab ragoons. It’s good quality and you get plenty of food. I recommend the place, but like I said, we usually order the same thing.

Worst food one ever had. I wouldn’t be surprised if rats were running around in the kitchen.

Went here when they first opened a few years ago and it was set up like a restaurant and it was pretty good… we’ll we tried it again a few weeks ago and there are no words. The place is grubby and there’s stuff all over the place very weird… It just felt dirty the guy at the counter was nice enough, but didn’t speak any English which I thought was a good sign that the food would be really authentic … I was wrong the food was ok… We always go to Pings at Auburn and John R the best food ever

This is definitely low-quality Chinese food. The sesame chicken was like eating rawhide, it was chewy like it had been cooked and cooked and cooked… and, oh did I mention cooked again? My wife got the cashew chicken and it was bland and did not have much flavor. It had large chunks of celery and carrot that were still raw and uncooked.

I know what you are thinking — free delivery! But trust me, it’s not worth it. For one thing, our order was delivered 30 minutes later then promised. If the food had been good this would have been forgivable. It was bland at best. Everyone commented on the lack of flavor — and as the person who suggested the restaurant I was terribly embarrassed. Just make the drive to pick up from a better rated restaurant, you won’t regret it.

Ordered takeout from here. Cashew chicken was extremely salty, didn’t have much flavor and was mostly veggie, barely any chicken. The egg drop soup didn’t have great flavor. Egg rolls were ok. Lacking flavor and substance in all that I had & tried.

I had shrimp fried rice and shrimp toast, both were pretty good, and the prices were fair. There was at least 10 shrimps in the fried rice, and tasted good~

After finding hair and a rubber band in my general tso’s chicken I will never eat here again. My girlfriend and I ordered take out last night about a half hour before they closed and they were obviously mad that we placed an order«so late.» There was what looked like a pubic hair laid neatly on top of my girlfriend’s chicken and I found a rubber band in mine. Unfortunately, I already ate a little bit of my food before we noticed and I feel sick to my stomach. God knows what else they did to our food. Never going back and I wouldn’t recommend you do either.

After getting one of their flyers on my front door I thought I’d try it today, since PINGS does not open until 2pm Mini Eden here I come. Placing the order via the phone took way longer than one would expect. Walking in to pick up my order… I think the overflowed booths & tables of cases of water, supplies, newspapers, all kinds of stuff everywhere, perhaps i should have followed my gut & left… especially since my food that i ordered 20 minutes prior was still not ready/up. [ that was my chance to bolt! ] But I figured. at times ‘DIVES’ can have some super good food, and what was my total investment? $ 5.95 for Kung Pao Chicken, Fried Rice & a large container of Egg Drop Soup. The order came up, and I took it home to eat it. The EGGDROPSOUP was SUPER! The King Pao Chicken was mildly hot & had plenty of chicken. I’m just not sure if I can get past the condition of the dining room, as I wonder about the kitchen & back of the house.

Mini Eden has a bit of a small base of operations, and definitely isn’t as fancy as any other restaurant. However, the food itself was fine and dandy; the fried crab ragoon was deliciously creamy, and the young chow fried rice is solid.

It’s not the best or the cleanest Chinese restaurant. I ordered the shrimp and mushroom and was surprised at the amount of shrimp and mushrooms I got. Usually you’ll end up with a ton of mushrooms and about 3 pieces of shrimp at other restaurants. Plus these are real mushrooms not canned BS mushrooms that I can’t stand! Not the best Chinese food, but it gets the job done when I am craving greasy fast Chinese food.

The food is pretty ok at Mini Eden, but I recently ran into a customer service nightmare. I ordered a full(non lunch, which I specified) of chicken lo mein and veg mei fun. They quoted $ 17, I said ok. 45 minutes later they showed up with 4 orders of mei fun and lo mein and wanted $ 70 for it. I apologized for any miscommunication, they re-ran the cost(which, coincidentally was $ 17) and the delivery person headed out. If this was end, I wouldn’t have a problem. An hour later, the manager called me, not to ask me what happened, but to scream at me, and insist that this was my order and I owed them $ 70. When I insisted it was a miscommunication again and apologized, they hung up. So much for understanding…

Our Chinese restaurant of choice is East Lake on Long Lake and Rochester. But they don’t deliver. And sometimes you want food of the not-pizza variety to show up at your house magically by itself. And hey, Mini Eden doesn’t charge for delivery(though it will cost you $ 1.00 if you pay by credit card over the phone)! So we tried these guys tonight. The delivery was really fast, and the delivery guy was friendly. Full marks there. The food is… adequate. It’s what we ordered, it’s hot, and the portions are in line with the pricing. We ordered sesame chicken(combination), pepper steak(combination), wonton soup, and crab rangoun. The chicken fried rice had an odd sweet tang to it that I found somewhat unpleasant, but everything else was perfectly edible, if bland and uninspired. Nobody is going to be writing poems to Mini Eden, that’s for sure. We’ll probably order from them again, because there are always times when there’s nothing in the fridge except eight varieties of mustard but I’d rather eat it with a spoon than leave the house and be forced to interact with humanity. But when presented with another option? There’s lots better out there. One and a half stars for the food, but fast and free delivery bumps it to three for convenience.

We will never forget our take out meal from here… but that’s not a positive statement. My boyfriend ordered the chicken lo mein, and I ordered the szechuan tofu. My boyfriend received some cabbage stew dish, and I received a 2 pound container of soggy steamed tofu doused in «szechuan» sauce. Oh man, this was seriously unedible. I shed a tear after throwing out such a large amount of «food.»
