1st. Time here and was for a carry out. Had a rice dish and a noodle dish– sorry, forgot name of them! Nonetheless both were great. Huge portions– have enough for 2 lunch leftovers. Very friendly staff also!

We eat here almost every week. Green curry with tofu is brilliant and so are all their fried rices. Their springrolls are value for money.

This place is always on point. I go here for take out at least once a week. The fact that their food is now prepared all halal is nice. A cleaner meat is something I’m never against. Good service. Great sushi.

3.5 stars. The man who seated us was so sweet and friendly so that alone accounts for one star. The décor is charming, much cuter and cozier than most Thai places I’ve been to. I came with a small group and we were pretty pleased with our food. It was standard, slightly above average Thai fare. My veggie curry was yummy and I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of veggies. The presentation of the rice(served separately from the curry) is beautiful. I wanted to try their squid but they ran out unfortunately so I got tofu. Pretty good but squid would’ve been a more interesting choice. Beware– anything above Mild+ level of spicy is EXTREMELY spicy! My Mild+ had a great kick, but my friend’s medium level dish was so spicy that even 2 glasses of water couldn’t get her tongue back to normal. I know for some people this is a good thing :) Although nothing particularly stood out to me, the food was fresh and I would give this place another visit.

Our second visit. We ordered two chicken curries. Chicken was definitely overcooked and tough to chew. Last time it was the beef. Veg spring rolls were great. The worst part was the auto addition of an 18% service charge because we had five people in the group, including a child. Not seen that type of a charge at other restaurants with much attentive service.

This is my favorite Thai place on the east side of michigan. Cheap beer(1.50 millers), great customer service, amazing options and a sushi buffet usually once a month. Every time I had back to the east I stop here at least for takeout. Pad Pak is to die for… and they know how to use the spice.

Excellent customer service, delicious fresh food and nice atmosphere. Hot means hot! So dont order hot food if you cant handle the spices. I look forward to coming here again. Love a good halal place: D

Pretty good Thai food, for the size of the town, but it’s more generally Asian, in that they also serve sushi. Everything at Sukhothai is mild, so if you want some authentic heat, you have to ask for it. Our waitress flat-out disappeared and some 20 minutes after we were seated, she finally took our order. Happily, the food then arrived quickly and was well-prepared. At meal end, I love their coconut-flavored, rolled fortune cookies.

This was my first time here with my husband and younger brother. I’m a big fan of thai food, and have eaten at several thai restaurants. We came here as a late family Valentine’s day dinner. When we walked in, we were not greeted with a «hello» or «how are you?» The young guy just asked us how many people, and showed us to our table. Still happy about having some thai food, I didn’t let that dampen my spirit. We ordered the combination platter chicken fried rice, chicken curry, and chicken pad thai curry. The décor is beautiful, and the food was good, but it didn’t top lanna thai in shelby or thai smile in warren. The service overall was on the rude side. I understand there is a language barrier but the service I’ve recieved at other thai restaurants was far superior. This will be my last time here.

Had lunch here today with a co-worker. I ordered the pad thai curry, very tasty, good spice level(ordered it medium). Friend ordered the seafood curry and that was good as well. Ordered a carryout, Pad Prik which was really good but not the best I’ve had. I will be trying again really soon.

I am eating at this restaurant at 8:10 on a Monday night. There is no excuse for them to serve me reheated food from earlier in the day. To backtrack. I walked in at 8:00 on a Monday night hoping to get hot, fresh Thai food. Got exactly the opposite… My order was taken soon after I got in and I got my dish 3 minutes after I put my order in. So unless they made fresh food for me in 3 minutes they reheated some old carryout order and gave it to me. The food was lukewarm at best. Now I’m eating the middle of it and the noodles are downright Cold. Unacceptable. I don’t want to fight for my dinner to be on them. Just going to leave a review on Unilocal

First visit here. Décor, nice wood on walls, sort of cozy. Seated as we arrived, only three tables sitting. Lots of carry out on counter. Order was taken in timely manor and drinks were delivered. Husban ordered chicken pad thai, he loved it said it was very tasty. I ordered veggie curry mild. We’ll I’m certainly glad I did not order hot,…I could barely eat it, it was soooo hot. It tasted great and lots of veggies piled high with fluffy hot rice. Not saying I wouldn’t order it again, just with NO heat. Waitress never came to take our bill, had to ask girl at takeout area to go find our server. Then it took her 5 mins. to do the charge. She seemed confused even when Taking our order. So, only 4 stars

Yet another wonderful visit to Sukhothai. They are offering free appetizers to patrons who sit on the patio, and since it was a perfect night we decided to take them up on the offer. The patio is gorgeous. Beautiful flowers everywhere, color-coordinated umbrellas and seat cushions; it is really a great space. Upon being sat, we were promptly greeted by our server, who was polite and attentive. I asked for spring rolls as our free appetizer, and we each got two spring rolls. They were garnished with chopped peanuts, which was a tasty touch. Usually when I get spring rolls at a restaurant, they taste like the kind you get in the frozen food section of the grocery store, but not these. They were flavorful, with a slight peppery taste. Tasty! I ordered drunken noodles with vegetables and my boyfriend ordered Bangkok chicken. We split an ebi ten maki roll. The sushi roll looked impressive, and tasted delicious. The roll was large and I loved the sauce that topped it. The drunken noodles were very good, and the mild+ spice was accurate. I liked that there were a lot of vegetables, and the basil in the dish made it stand out. The Bangkok chicken was made with a thick sweet and sour sauce, and was a good meal. No spicy flavor in the mild sweet and sour sauce. The portions of both our entrees were large, and appropriately priced for the quality of the food. Our service was very nice, even though we left shortly before closing time. My water was refilled several times, and our food came out fast. Overall, a great night out! Thanks again Sukhothai :)

Absolutely fantastic place. Excellent service and greats food and drinks. I usually get the sushi– which is always so tasty and affordable! My favorite are their drink specials which are anywhere from $ 2-$ 5. Outdoor seating is really nice and right now they are including a free appetizer PERPERSON for sitting outside. This place rules and is my go-to place whenever I want high quality but affordable eats!

Okay Thai for the burbs; nothing special in terms of flavor or dishes. They do offer sushi which is an excellent alternative for those not inclined to eat Thai food. Decent beer selection and I do dig their hot and sour soup. Also tried their chicken satay salad; overall it was good but the peanut sauce dressing was a bit overly sweet. Probably would substitute that for a spicy mustard or oil based dressing. Fried wontons are really good as a free app when you sit down and their sushi is agreeable as well. Service is great I will say that ! They go out of their way to ensure you’re happy.

Sukhothai has long been referred to as the area’s best Thai. This Greek gal can stand affirmative on «the best» is Sukhothai. Great variety of noodle dishes, sushi, traditional Thai, lunch & dinner. Their food isn’t heavy & they have the best brown sauce I’ve ever had! The spice levels are perfect — per my taste buds, their mild + spice is a TRUE mild +.!Great vegetarian/vegan options. My office is near Sukhothai so I eat here often/order delivery/carry out. They are my fav Thai!

We’ve been here a couple of times and the food has been excellent each time. The mixed drinks leave something to be desired, though. Spider Roll — holy cow, I love this appetizer. The soft shell crab is so tender and sweet and the juxtaposition between the warm tempura and the cold roll is enticing. My husband ordered a pork curry which was nice and I ordered a sashimi platter which had a rich and buttery white tuna. Honestly, it was enough for two or three people. If you like Thai food, go. If you don’t like Thai food, go, you will find something amazing to change your mind.

$ 52(including tax and tip) for two people. Now before you write this place off as being over-priced, my girlfriend and I sort of ordered a lot of food, including a $ 15 sushi roll(pictured), the $ 15 appetizer sampler, split an order of the Bangkok Chicken, and I got their Tom Kha, which I pretty much make myself get when I go to a Thai restaurant because it’s usually so damn tasty. Yeah, we were feeling blimpy. Coming in at about dinner time on a Monday night, there were only one or two other occupied tables in the restaurant, but somebody was calling in take out. Not a lot going on in the dining room, but Unilocal seldom lets me down. Don’t do it now… *shakes fist* Alright, the positives… the appetizer sampler was great as it had. ehm. a sampling of a lot of their appetizers: curry puffs, crab rangoons, spring rolls, and shrimp rolls — each with their own different dipping sauce. I liked them all, especially the crab rangoons. The Sexy Roll was a nice choice for sushi: maybe it was my imagination, but it looked like the pieces were bigger than some other places I’ve had. Fresh, well-rolled, and good flavor. I appreciate that most of the sauce on the sushi is actually on the plate more so than on top of the sushi at Sukhothai. The service was great compared to a lot of places — maybe borderline overly attentive to some people. The cons about Sukhothai make me wish I could give it a 3.5, but whatevs. Straight away, don’t get the Bangkok Chicken. The menu lists it as a supposed«specialty», but it was mediocre at best. The sauce was good(even if maybe a little bit *overly* sweet and tangy), but the chicken wasn’t crispy at all, and some pieces had a bizarre rubbery/chewy texture. Not inedible, but pretty close… that’s the biggest problem I had with Sukhothai. Second, I ordered Tom Kha with shrimp but got it with chicken. Not a huge problem though, because I just told them to bill me for chicken instead of taking the soup back. Tom Kha is hard to make poorly, and while this wasn’t poor, it’s about how I picture it tasting if I were to try making it at home. It wasn’t exactly bland, but it wasn’t as … Tom Kha-y as I was hoping it would be. Okay, I think I’m done typing. Sukhothai is another better-than-decent Thai restaurant in the area. The interior has a nice look to it, the servers are attentive, and a majority of the food was well done(no pun intended in regards to the chicken…) as well.
