Flo’s Farmhouse Cafe

Food was average. Ordered eggs and toast so that can’t be very exciting anyway. The biscuits and gravy looked yummy though. The service was great. Everyone who worked at flows was quick and nice. Very friendly staff. We got our drinks within 30 seconds of sitting down. We were greeted with in a minute after that by the waitress. We ordered immediately and our food came within five minutes of ordering. We had late breakfast today so there wasn’t a large breakfast crowd remaining. But, the restaurant appeared to do a steady business. The cost was very inexpensive. For two people breakfast was under $ 20.

This is one of those places that deserves 5 stars all around. Been here a few times now and have never been disappointed in the least bit. Every server is attentive, friendly, and experienced. We had a party of 9 on our last visit and there were no problems at all, even the bill was surprisingly affordable. The food has always been great! If you go for breakfast you MUST get the biscuits and gravy on top of the hash browns… MUST!!! It’s surprisingly light and goes perfect together. I have only been for breakfast, but I’d imagine the service and food is constant throughout the day.

Flo’s has the best service, no matter who the waitstaff is. I’ve been in for Breakfast and for Dinner and they were always curteous and friendly with fast service. I’ve never had an empty cup, they always ask if I want a refill before I get to the end! The food also comes out fast even if they are super busy.
I highly recommend their breakfast menu! Any of the omelettes or scrambles are delicious and the Home fries are to die for! Make sure to ask for a side of salsa! It’s spicy but so good!
The dinner wasn’t half as good as the breakfast but they still get 5 stars from me as a breakfast joint!

My family has been coming here for years. Everyone is super nice and they attend to get busy on the weekend morning… Any place will be busy. They have great food. Especially breakfast. Pies are also yummy!

Giving 3stars for the amazing quality of the food here. Their strawberry waffle is sooooo good and their biscuits and gravy is the number one on the list. However, they need to work on customer service. We sat down and were not greeted by anymore for 10 minutes. It was also very slow so I don’t understand what was going on. Hopefully next time we’ll have better service. I’ll always return here because their food is amazing.

Good quality food. We always enjoy coming here. The service is fast and friendly as well, I would give the 5^th star but no weekly specials like other riverside breakfast joints.

Stumbled across this gem while driving down Van Buren and boy will I be coming back again.
Quite possibly the best breakfast place in the IE.
There were a couple of things on the menu I wanted to try, but I opted for the California Omelette + Biscuits and Gravy. Omelette was great, but I highly recommend a side of Biscuits and Gravy no matter what entrée you are having.
Pros:
Ridiculous portion sizes for the price.
Everything is customize-​able. (I basically created my own omelette)
Good service and atmosphere
Will be coming back to try their lunch /​dinner!

If you want a good down home country breakfast this is the place to go. Their biscuits & gravy are delicious.

I came back to eat here and a roach walked across our table. i am soooo grossed out!!! This is the last time I ever come here again!

I got a good deal today. It was pancakes, bacon/​sausage, eggs and hash browns for 6.95. All the portions were big and I could not finish the serving. The staff were friendly and quick. However, the only problem was décor/​dust. The décor was country theme and it is cute. But, it looked slightly dusty and the place needs to be cleaner.

Food was delicious and the service was awesome. Been coming here for years. Definitely worth coming back and a good recommendation to friends.

The food is amazing and it’s all homemade the chili cheese fries were amazing! Definitely recommend that you order them! Not only that, the service here is extremely wonderful and friendly. Would definitely come back here again.

Flo’s is amazing overall. Great tasting food. Large portions. Great prices. Friendly service. Great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Weekend mornings are busy but worth it. This place has been around for years. Every time I come with my family I order a different meal and my family and I are always satisfied. This is a great place to eat. Don’t knock it till you try it :-). Enjoyy

It’s a good thing the biscuits and gravy here are to die for or I would never come here again due to poor service. I debated 2 or 3 stars but the biscuits are worth it.
We came on a somewhat busy Sunday morning and the door was a mess, people didn’t know which line was which. It took about 10 – 15 minutes to be seated (not a wait time, a «no one wanted to do their job» time), another 10 to get drinks, and another 5 to get our orders in when we were finally noticed. The food took only about 10 minutes to come out.
The amount of servers they have should be enough to accommodate this small establishment, but the people working here are slow and incompetent. They don’t wait for you to follow them to your table, they just take off and make you search for them; or as I noticed when I was leaving, «your table’s in the middle». Like the family knew where «the middle» is. The poor little lady that owns this place really should hire new servers.

After looking for a breakfast diner for a lazy Sunday morning, my wife and I decided to try Flo’s.
We showed up to a full house but were seated quickly. We were placed in the back and ignored for 10 minutes. The server to came back 3 minutes later because he forgot what drinks we wanted.
We were looking for something a little healthy. A side of fruit would have been perfect, but Flo’s doesn’t have fruit unless it comes in a can.
My corn beef hash was disappointing, her pork chops were so bad they looked untouched when we left.
We will never come back to this restaurant again.

Had the steak and eggs, and it came with so much more. It was so delicious! And our waitress was very sweet, the whole staff was actually very friendly and courteous. Definitely going to visit again.

Okay food… Service is really good! waitress was really nice. You get what you pay for. Can’t say it was amazing but can’t say it’s bad either. Came with a couple of friends, some liked it some didn’t. Their coffee tastes great!

We come here almost every day and see the same group of people doing the same thing. To copy what another restaurant says «When you’re here, you’re family». That is how you are treated at Flo’s. They go out of their way to treat you right and make your meal right the way you like it. We are retired and eat our lunch meal here and have enough food to take home for our dinner meal.
We’ve met some very, very nice people from coming here, that we now socialize outside of the restaurant. It’s one big happy family here. As people come and go, everyone seems to greet you. The atmosphere is also what makes the restaurant great and homey. We don’t feel that when we go somewhere else!
One of my favorite pies is the Millionaire’s Pie — layered with pecan, chocolate, I’d better stop, I’m getting hungry — just try it, you’ll love it!

I am surprised to see that this restaurant has so many good reviews. The quality of the food is poor, service was good/​average.
We ordered the appetizer sampler which was greasy and not tasty.
The turkey meal was like a big ol’ pile of slop. The chicken was overcooked and bland. The ribs were fall-​off-​the-​bone untasty.
The décor was Miami Vice meets decades of no improvements. Avoid.
My dogs reluctantly ate the leftovers.
