Pretty good little place, service is slow but is expected given the restaurant style. Caters first to the locals and newbies get secondary treatment. Order came out incorrect but food was still good, price is ok.

Friendly service and great food. Adorable little diner that’s been in business since 1945. You must try it.

We love the niftys omelette, there chili omelette could use some work the chili needs some spices. Only reason I am giving a 4 is because it’s a little on the pricey side.

As a native Riverbank-​ite, Nifty’s is a very familiar landmark as I drive down Atchison st (Hwy 108), its been there in one incarnation or another for some 70 years, My Grandparents used to eat there, today I was moving around and wanted a GOOD burger, As I drove by Nifty’s I noted that their hours have been extended to 2: pm. I havent eaten there in a long time, so I pulled in, I was met by a friendly lady by the name of Linda, who made me feel welcome. I ordered the sourdough burger with a side of Tater salad, it was delicious, the prices arent cheap, but if you want a cheap burger go to Mickey D’s or one of the other fast food franchises, there’s a marked difference in quality, and well worth it. I’ll visit there again. ;-)

Like everyone else says the people are super nice but the place just isn’t that great. The service was slow and the food was nothing special not to mention that the restaurant doesn’t look super clean. I had high hopes for this place but I most likely won’t be going back.

Good food… but slower then molasses. Service is very slow. If your not a regular, seems like your ignored.

Our Uncle introduced this little hidden gem to us. Not only was the food great, we were privileged to meet Linda, she was the most sweetest, genuine person ever! And she made an amazing banana shake! Definitely going back next time we make it up there!

This place is not too expensive! It is a great place to eat and the décor is that of the 50’s. Great service! Great food! Good prices!

Love coming to Niffty’s, what a cool atmosphere and the food is on point too. We always stop here b4 heading to Murphy’s. I usually get either the scrambles or a big plate with all the fixins. Their portions and prices are reasonable too. Best of all you’re supporting a local buiseness!

Small place with an excellent breakfast served all day. I went there because of other Unilocal reviews and was not disappointed. Keep those reviews coming!

support LOCAL BUSINESS!!! Niftys has been a Riverbank staple for YEARS and since having lived here, we have come to love this little restaurant. Down the street from my inlaws house so it’s conviwnt enough to walk over have a HUGE and inexpesinve meal with them.
When we first moved to riverbank, we stayed with my inlaws for a couple years and so kind of got used to taking the half Mille walk to niftys and having huge yummy pancakes, chicken fried steak, and corn beef hash (YUMMY)

Love the chicken fried steak and the service was good. Would much rather support a local guy before going to Black Bear or some other cooperate chain…
No CEO is getting my money for another beach house…

small casual diner along atchison… small town restaurant with parking to the side… square bar counter and stool seating… empty tables along the windows… seat yourself and mostly empty… few locals seated separately at the counter eating and talking… everybody seems to know each other… bit aged and homely atmosphere… taking a menu and few specials on the dry erase board… a philly steak sandwich $ 10.99 ordered… roughly 10 to 15 minutes of waiting… sweetest waitress working solo in the dining room… her picture and another lady on the menu cover… simple sliced bread griddled nicely… layers of thin steak and melting cheese center… simple sandwich easy enough to make at home… crinkle-​cut fries golden crispy… few grapes added to the side…$ 11.85 after tax and $ 15 total after tip… bit pricey for such a simple sandwich and fries, but good place to get a bite and linger around…

A Great place to eat! And they always make you feel welcomed ! I’ve eaten here for over 20 years and I’ve always had a good meal no matter what I’ve ordered.

Excellent restaurant for breakfast (Anytime!) or for lunch.
My culinary companion du jour and I had a delightful breakfast there yesterday (02÷22÷14). I had a bacon, mushroom, and Swiss cheese omelet; my friend had a plain cheese omelet, which I sampled: both were very good.
The house was packed until after noon with the breakfast crowd, and
I was glad to see that, unlike McDonald’s, you can get breakfast there anytime.
Prices are moderate, and a good value.

This local diner has been around for years and I just visited today. It’s super clean, has friendly service, and great food. I highly recommend it!!!
