Downtown Ridgewood… Great location for a Starbucks, BUSINESS-wise… EXPERIENCE-wise? Eh, just okay. Pros: –Rapid service. –Lots of seating. –Huge selection of retail items. –Drink quality: 7⁄10. –Polite service(if you’re polite). Cons: –Even with lots of seating, this place is packed most times with tweens & moms/strollers. –You don’t get much of that«Third Place» experience, seeing as how they’re usually swamped and they kinda just wanna get their line down.(But not rude either, so that’s dope). It’s good if you’re shopping or doing business in the area. But if you wanna sit and work on your next novel in peace? Eh, might not be the spot. Especially not on the weekend.

Today I came in to get something to drink and even the guy behind me was commenting that the service is sloppy. He said«If my father would be here he would have walked out by now; they outnumber us and they walk right past us as if they don’t think it is important to get our order.» I have at agree with him I was confused why no one was taking my order?.. Maybe only specific people know how to ring someone up on the machine but then they should keep that person at the register. Also neither of the bathrooms were in good working order. One bathroom had no toilet paper. The other was just a mess. Don’t get me started with what that means… I run a small company and I feel that it’s a management problem. Management isn’t running the shop efficiently. Drink order was fine. Thanks but no thanks Starbucks I’ll be skipping this Starbucks to go down the street to try Ridewood Coffee Company next time.

Starbucks in Ridgewood is where teeny boppers go to feel grown up. They sip macchiato’s, text and photograph each other and finger their iPhones and iPads like lovers, seemingly oblivious to the larger world in which they live. It’s a marketing dream — selling the«culture of stuff» to i-Gen’s, whose self esteem is built largely on labels and more stuff. Starbucks and Apple: perfect together! I remember my adolescence in the West Village — differently. Back then, places like Café Wha? and other dimly lit rathskellers, that have long since faded into the good night, helped us BECOME older and wiser. The«scene» motivated many of us towards independent thought and self-reliance; it was a road map on how to own and make your future. We sipped grenadine or coffee, made eye contact with other humans over chess boards or card games or debated something Kerouac or Ginsburg said or wrote. We listened to poetry or random players do jazz. We dreamed big. Some of us dropped out — never to be heard from again. Others — realized their dreams. We were tuned in and turned on. We invented cool… We distrusted anyone over 30(turns out, for good reason). And I can’t say for sure, but I sure hope the youngins at this Starbucks get more wisdom here than just a daily dose of caffeine and cool. In a fiercely competitive global economy that chews up Millennials and spits out what’s left like chaff, the i-Gens will need something more substantial than the«culture of stuff» to get what they want. Meanwhile, whatever your age, you can still get a decent cup of coffee at Starbucks(make mine a double red-eye please with a slab of lemon pound cake).

Each time I come to this Starbucks I already know I will have a good day. The baristas are all super friendly and courteous. They always get my order right and although there is always a line I’m never left waiting for more than 5 minutes. We all know Starbucks isn’t the cheapest coffee which is why I expect to get my moneys worth, and I know I won’t disappointed when I come to this particular Starbucks. Parking is pretty convenient during the mornings, street parking of course so sometimes you aren’t so lucky, also not too sure about the afternoons but I know they also have a parking lot in the back entrance. They also have outdoor seating during the summer & spring which is great. There is handful of tables inside as well if you have to get work done or just want to relax & enjoy your drink! My favorite drinks are the green tea latte & the dirty vanilla chai, definitely must try!

It’s a starbucks. In all honestly, It’s a 3 like most other places but I’ll downgrade this one to a 2 as there are 30 good choices for tea and coffee in Ridgewood. Seriously, this town feels obsessed with tea and obsessive compulsive with coffee. It also gets way too loud in here thanks to the number of kids but there is nice sitting room especially outside in the summer. There are better places, support your local businesses.

I’m a fan for 3 reasons, and 3 reasons only: 1) They have the reserve blends. 2) They have the clover machine to serve you the reserve blends by the cup. 3) They have outdoor seating. Other than that, I’d say this location needs a little more staffing. The line here gets long and tables and chairs could use some tidying up. Street parking.

This place’s service fuckin blows they took a good 20 minutes to make a smoothie and a good portion of that time was spent by the baristas standing around talking

This Starbucks is great! I really like the service, they can handle people even when it’s a hectic Friday afternoon with all the teens getting out of school. One of my favorite drinks I’ve had there, is the Iced Salted Caramel Mocha. The drink has this brownie like taste to it, but also a bit of gingerbread holiday flavor. I definitely would recommend this Starbucks to anyone who is either looking for a nice passion tango tea during a scorching summer, or a nice peppermint mocha during the frigid winter.

This place serves trusted taste and quality of Starbucks’ coffee and beverage, and every time the baristas make drinks so greatly :) you will not be disappointed. Even the place seems always busy, all staffs are pleasant and kindful. Whenever 5:30am in the morning to 10pm, you will be satisfied with their services. When it’s spring and summer, they will have some outdoor seats :) Since I came in the United States for my degree a year and half ago, I always prefer this place than any other café in the town to grab some coffees and beverages.

There is just something slightly unwelcoming about this Starbucks location to me. It is often very busy or crowded with raucous pre-teens. I have had staff just forget to make my coffee here and then ask me 5 min later what I was waiting for. There is a parking lot in the back, but it’s shared with multiple other stores so it is often full. They do have some outdoor seating in front for warmer weather which is nice. The seating is right on ridgewood ave which is great for people watching and shopping. The parking lot is around the corner, entrance on cottage place. I usually come here more often than the glen rock location on rock rd(which I prefer to this location) out of convenience and often being in this area, but if I had a choice or were meeting a friend to talk for a while I would def. drive the extra few min to glen rock.

I stop in easily 3 – 4 times a week, either in the early morning or the afternoon. The staff is almost always extremely pleasant and helpful, especially the morning crew. I used to get frustrated with the length it took to get through the line, but then I started listening to some of the orders being placed… they’re ridiculous! Love the outdoor seating, just sad that it’s winter and it’s all been brought inside. One of my favorite«unknown» menu items to get is a French Press of coffee. They’ll do it in any of the daily grinds(blonde, regular, or bold) and it’s simply delicious. The new pastry partnership they have is quite good as well. Everything seems to come in(and stay) fairly fresh. Knowing they’re not baked on-site, the quality is pretty high. This location definitely gets less clean as the day goes on, but I think that needs to be chalked up to the high foot traffic, particularly many kids. I’d rather the staff be behind the counter getting everyone on their way quickly than constantly picking up peoples garbage. But even with that said, the location overall always seems pretty well-kept to me.

I’m now on a mission to review every Starbucks I get a cup of coffee at. So you really cant review the coffee, it is all the same. No matter where you go, you get the same cup of coffee, or latte, or frappa crappa whatever. I’m going to rate them in terms of spots to either have a meeting or wait for a meeting. Ridgewood location has lots of seating for 1 or 2 persons. They also have a lot of comfortable sofa seats. Good place to work in terms of space, but not so great in terms of plugs. In fact I had a hard time even finding one. Outdoor seating when the weather is nice — those outdoor Starbucks seats are rough on the rear, so you don’t want to sit there long.

What’s nice about this location is that it’s everything you expect of a Starbucks, particularly in terms of seating & coziness. With an outdoor patio & an additional back door entrance/exit, it’s accessible & convenient. Although it lacked an overall cleanliness when I visited, especially in the restroom, the staff was very friendly & it was probably an off day. Good luck with parking, but keep in mind the back door when you ‘re searching for a spot.

Cozy, Small, with helpful staff. Whenever I have questions the staff is always there to give me answers. They seem knowledgeable and helpful in helping me decide which new things to try. Plus I love their outdoor seating. One of the nicer Starbucks in the area. Could be bigger on the inside. but that’s about my only complaint.

Urk, got poisoned here twice. Been passing by this Starbucks for years, and used it more for a landmark than actually for the drinks and snacks. I figured it was about time, I made use of it’s assets, or so I thought. Finding parking was horrendous, and though there is a shared parking lot with other area establishments, it’s jam packed beyond belief. After parking about 3 blocks away in a residential area, I ordered a Carmel Macchiato. Everything seemed fine till I started driving away, and got sharp stomach pains. Didn’t see the connection at the time. A few weeks later, I tried it again, with the same experience in parking. This time I ordered the Green Tea Latte. Upon drinking it, you could immediately tell the milk had soured. I asked to see the milk that they used, which they hesitantly did, which hinted to me that they knew the date had passed. The milk was about 5 days past the labeled freshness. I was so disgusted, that I just left without even asking for a refund, leaving the aftermath of the line of customers that were onlooking to probably resend their orders. Still didn’t prevent me from sharp stomach pains about 30 minutes later. Terrible that an established business in a well to do neighborhood would be unethical enough to knowingly serve unhealthy expired products.

This cozy little starbucks is slightly small for the traffic it received on a saturday morning. However, clean environment and friendly staff puts it above average for a starbucks. Of course, it helps to provide me a good sample of red velvet cupcake for my tour. I will copy and paste my review for reference. Ridgewood Coffee Company ____________________________ The red velvet cupcake wasn’t the most appealing, but it’s one of the best I have ever tasted. The frosting was very good, I think I tasted some expresso in it. The cake was moist and flavorful. It’s just sweet enough for my taste. This is the best of the bunch. Starbucks ____________________________ The seasonal red velvet cupcake had the best frosting(cream cheese based). The cake was more than decent. However, Starbuck’s quality control on the cupcake is just a bit more than decent. I’m pretty sure some stores keep it for more than the 2 day limit, and the cake can get stale and dry. Cupcakes by Carousel ____________________________ The cupcake was better than the avg starbucks cupcakes. So it tastes as good as 80% of the starbucks cupcakes out there(due to the mass produced QA I assume) The frosting was alright. It wasn’t anything spetacular. Crumbs ____________________________ The most presentable cupcake of the bunch. The frosting was supar… probably a sacrifice that needed to be made to make it look so pretty. The cupcake was downright disgraceful. I wouldn’t feed that to my dog.(but I would give it to my friend as a gift:-D) Yeah, it’s logical. My friend can appreciate the presentation for the cupcake. A dog wouldn’t know a pretty cupcake from an ugly one.
