Nice, but very overpriced. I understand that everything’s organic, hand woven, individually milked, raised in someone’s lap, etc. but the sticker shock of $ 6 for a scone still hasn’t worn off.

Cute coffee joint we have here! The inside reminds me of a home and feels cozy. The baristas are very knowledgable and friendly. I appreciate that their chai lattes are made with steeped tea, rather than from concentrate. Their espresso is nice and not over bearing my strong. I’d like to try their other drinks as I noticed they have special items, like a matcha drink which I didn’t notice until I ordered a lame Americano :)

I just went this morning when it first opened at 7am. Such an amazing place with good vibes. The woman working this morning, I do not know her name, but she lived in Germany for many years, was so wonderful to every person who came in. She creates a beautiful vibe and energy and connects so naturally with people, she brings something unique and special to this place. I loved the coffee as always and the homemade muffin was delicious. The atmosphere is great, old school and European, with the bulldog Daisy! I so enjoyed the peaceful early morning here.

Hello nj, hello coffee shop! Whenever I visit my mother, madre, oma, mami whatever you want to call your mother, I like to come to get coffee in Ridgewood Coffee down the street… And I still like it. The space is big, too big actually, I prefer small places but if people like to lay down on the table sipping coffee that’s alright! i ordered an espresso, eh, it was just ok. I think they used a blend because it tasted like a bled mix of espresso, extremely acidic in not a good way. My girlfriend got some iced lattee and wasn’t strong so I ended up dumping most of my espresso in her drink to make it taste like coffee and not milk or sugar. Anyways, i’ll stick to my other little place down the street.

Hey there, Delilah What’s it like in New York city? I’m a thousand miles away But, girl, tonight you look so pretty Yes, you do Times Square can’t shine as bright as you I swear, it’s true The above is what I start singing to myself when I walk in and see that beautiful beautiful gorgeous mellow beautiful pretty bulldog sitting on her mat. I don’t know if I even come here for the free wifi, friendly baristas, delicious biscotti, excellent coffee, matcha lattes or if in reality I am just hoping Delilah is there so I can sit on the floor like some vagabond petting her for like 10 minutes while people stare at me awkwardly. Somewhat steep latte prices and $ 10 minimum on the use of your plastic. Also no joke, my sister just got a dog in Australia and named her Delilah as well.

This location has the same excellent coffee in difference sizes. Good espresso bars are sorely lacking in this area, or perhaps the entire state. This is about as good as it gets. I know plenty of people who still prefer RCC, but personally, I like the roast from the amrican bulldog. I do prefer the chestnut ridge location. It may not be closer for me, but it’s easier to get to and easier to park, and it’s not a ghetto town. There are still 2 advantages to visiting the ridgewood location though. 1. higher foot traffic if you like people watching 2. reasonable/longer hours I would love it if they can improve on 2 things. 1. if they can start serving affogato with nice silky gelato, I’d be even happier:) 2. it’s time to clone Delilah!!!

We stopped here for a quick cappuccino break and absolutely loved it! The space is quite big, and decorated well. The ambiance was nice and I saw many people doing work in the shop. There’s plenty of seating and it’s very convenient being that it’s right in downtown and across from the train station. Looking forward to coming back again!!!

Great coffee and atmosphere. Better prices and coffee than RCC in my opinion. Cappuccino was on point, and iced coffee was strong and not watered down by ice, which is all too common in other places. Staff very friendly, and I was pleasantly surprised to see an actual American bulldog in the café today!

I love coffee. Turns out I live 2 minutes from this coffee shop so I thought I would give it a try. Before you continue reading this, if you like sweet fake coffee, don’t come here. On the other hand… if you love real, freshly brewed coffee, then this is your place. The pastries are delicious and taste so fresh and warm. The biscotti is meant to be dipped in your coffee, so take advantage of that! I order the flat white when I want a nice smooth coffee, and the chocolate chai tea latte when I want something fun on a relaxing day. The façade is relaxing and definitely is soothing for those who stress a lot. And don’t forget the bulldog Delilah that comes in every once in a while to greet the customers! Love this place. Officially a regular here.

Love this spot! It’s been a favorite for years. The staff is great. Very helpful and friendly. The coffee shop itself is very nice. The ambiance is beautiful. As for the drinks, I sometimes get the iced masala chai latte, which is to die for. They tend to add a lot of milk so definitely an acquired taste in my opinion. I really have to be in the mood for that one. My go-to is probably a caramel latte or cappuccino. All in all, the perfect place to go on a coffee date or to even catch up with some old friends.

Wonderful cappuccino! Beautiful location, great people and absolutely fantastic music! Now for the coffee. They roast their own and based on the 2 cappuccinos I had, the espresso had great flavor and was very smooth. My second was a little hotter than my first but since the espresso didn’t come across bitter it must have been the milk that was heated more than I like. Personal preference and not enough to knock it down to 4 stars. They only use local milk which is right up my alley, since the best reason to try a local shop is for the local ingredients which they have here. This is the reason this is a 5 star review. One oddness is that you have to spend over $ 10 to pay with a card. Annoying but understandable. Keep up the great work and the brilliant music! Update: drove 45 minutes to get their excellent cappuccino. Still fantastic and this time the temperature was SPOTON! Both times. Yes, I drank 2 cappuccinos while I was there. Can you blame me? If You can, it’s because you haven’t had their cappuccino yet. If you can’t, it’s because you know what the Bulldog is roasting. And you know it’s epic!

Ignore the Starbucks down the street and head into this cute little café with extremely reasonable prices. Incredible experience every time I’m there!

My favorite coffee hangout in town. Excellent flat whites(my current fave). So-so baked goods but they are hardly the point here. The vibe reminds me of beatnik hangouts in the Village in the 60’s, as does the music. Brings back that pleasant flush of ascendant youth. Nice!

Located conveniently across the Ridgefield train station, American Bulldog Coffee Roasters is the only coffeehouse in the state where you can find an American Bulldog freely roaming the premise. Don’t let this scare you, Delilah is quite friendly. Speaking of the premise, it is quite large with a few seats outdoors. It’s much larger than the other coffeehouse in town, though what I like about that place is there selection of flavored coffee. You’re not going to find any sexy or flashy flavors here. However, you will find here what you find at any true coffeehouse, fresh and organic coffee.

At last, some decent coffee! For the first time since moving to the US, I’ve found a flat white made the way it should be(& coming from the country that invented them, I know what I’m talking about & have the weird accent to prove it ;)) Great atmosphere although the side room gets a bit of an echo if you’ve got people having loud conversations at the next table… Fire in the main area & apparently a bulldog accessory from time to time. Service was friendly and pricing was on the high side, but most importantly, the coffee was excellent. First time in Ridgewood too and it seems like a nice area to wander around. Bear in mind that for proper espresso based drinks, it will take longer than popping into your local Dunkin’ or Starbucks. Didn’t get food, so this review is based only on the drinks

Does being less known make American Bulldog Coffee Roasters more hipster than the Ridgewood Coffee Company which is full of hipsters? I didn’t see a bulldog when I visited, but the coffee was very good, and the food they have is organic. The menu board doesn’t list much. You’re not gonna find a nutella or black forest latte here. They do make foam art in your coffee though, which I love! It’s a very large space for a coffee shop in Ridgewood, even bigger than the Starbucks. They don’t have any couches or lounge chairs though, which they could definitely fit in there. Place was pretty empty in the afternoon, it would be a great place to sit down with a board game and have a few cups of coffee. But if the hours listed on Unilocal are accurate, it seems to close pretty early.

Two points here: First, do NOT have a friendly and adorable American Bulldog(Delilah) on premises and expect me to leave an unbiased review. It’s jut not fair. Second, this is not a true 5 Star review, it’s 4.5 Stars with ½ star demerit for lack of a couch or comfy plush leather chairs. Get the chairs, get the couch and you gain a full ½ Star. Went there this morning based on sterling Unilocal reviews and was made more than aware of why. Coffee was outstanding as was my ham & cheese croissant. Not sure if they have gluten free options, mainly because I don’t care about the gluten free population. Want to hear a joke? Q: How can you tell if someone is gluten free? A: Talk to them for 2 seconds that they’ll tell you! Okay, gluten free dissing aside, the place was great. It has an actual real fire place, plenty of seating and they guy who runs it and his wife and extremely friendly and engaging. It’s decorated beautifully with shabby-chic furnishings and accoutrements. Comfortable and warm, it looks like the type of place I would find in Aspen, San Francisco or The West Village. Definitely a game changer as far as coffee in Ridgewood goes. I really see no benefit in going elsewhere. Just get a couch. And some comfy chairs. And maybe another dog. That’s it. Thanks.
