So I used to go this place all the time and this morning I remembered why I stopped going. Last weekend I ordered breakfast and the portions seemed cut back compare to before and the staff were very inattentive to the customer. A week later and I go there again and this time I stand there for 5 minuets before any member of staff even acknowledges that I exist. I ordered a Taylor ham, egg and cheese with salt, pepper, ketchup and a coffee with cream. When I eat the food I realized they hadn’t put the salt, pepper and ketchup in. Then when I tasted my coffee I realized they put milk as opposed to cream. Everything on my order was wrong, how does this happen? I order from deli’s all the time and I see them write SPK for slat pepper ketchup and how the heck does cream ever become milk!!! The condiments is one thing but the guy behind the counter obviously recognized that I wanted something in my coffee but cream and milk are miles away. The man behind the counter gave me horrible looks both times I went in and I wouldn’t be surprised if he is doing this on purpose. STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE. Just go the other side of the railway station and you will find a small deli with wonderful food which I can say has made order perfect every time for last 6 years.

Now these are GOOD bagels!!! So fresh and soft! Make sure you get whichever is freshest. I do enjoy a bagel sandwich but I couldn’t pass up the simple fresh bagel with cream cheese. The everything bagel I had was still hot from being baked and incredibly soft, and it was the perfect amount of cream cheese. It was perfect. The staff was super friendly and my bagel was served up really fast. Their menu is huge so i’d have a plan when you walk in. I’ve had the chicken salad too, it was really good.

I came in at 350 in the after noon. The lady behind the counter yelled out we’re closed we’re closed I told her all I wanted was a bagel and a coffee she said were closed what a lousy way to run a business

Decent bagels, nothing to write home about. Staff was accommodating! Need to turn the air conditioning up, it was stuffy in there.

Just moved to Ridgewood and am eating my way thru town. I preferred bagelicious to west side, as they have more coffee options and better tasting bagels. It was alright. I always give places a second chance, so well see how it goes next time.

Great bagel place in Ridgewood. I haven’t gone to everyone but I have been to Bagelicious and Ho Ho Kus bagels. West Side is the best. Better array of bagels. My wife likes the French Toast bagel while I get Taylor Ham egg and cheese. One of the best bagels I’ve ever had. Over 30 years living in NJ so I know my bagels(well, I like to think that). They also make fresh smoothies which are awesome. This is the only place I’ve found in Ridgewood that serves smoothies early in the am. Also, easier to park then at Bagelicious and you can sit and eat in the place of you choose.

I really like their bagels and that’s why I keep going back. But the service is usually pretty bad, there is a lot of confusion and if you get anything besides a bagel it takes a long time. They help people out of order a lot too, which is irritating. They just can’t seem to get themselves organized. Even though their bagels aren’t as good, I often go to Ridgewood Hot Bagel instead where you get such fast, friendly, and efficient service. Can’t understand why they never seem to pull it together at West Side.

This place kinda sucks. The food is ok. The service is ok. But it’s never great. Many times I’ve gone in at 11:30am and asked for a sandwich and they were out of rolls. Kinda odd for a deli eh? Web they do have rolls they’re almost always stale. Go to bagelicious accross the tracks for real bagels and deli.

The place is bright and clean, the staff was attentive but the bagels were not all that to write home about… and neither is this review. You can definitely find better in this town!

Eh, 3 stars. I’ve been in here a few times and the bagels are consistently really hard on the outside and overwhelmingly huge and doughy in the middle(like a lot! even for a NY bagel!) It needs to be double toasted and absorbs a lot of butter. After having these bagels a few times, I realize, I’ve had better. And so my hunt for good bagels near my apt continues…
