We dined here during Memorial Day weekend with out of town guests as we were looking for a low-key dinner which would be suitable for adults and kids. Our waitress was very accommodating and put in the kids’ order as soon as we sat down. We sampled a few appetizers and pizzas. The nachos were freaking delicious! All of our pizzas were great but the gypsy was the most interesting. My sister-in-law got a special of shrimp skewers which were grilled and full of flavor. We will definitely be back as the food is good and prices are beyond reasonable.

On June 26, 2016 we had our final day of our family reunion, the restaurant opened an hour early for us to have the whole venue to ourselves, and the food was amazing! Thanks guys!

Nice people. Got the Buffalo chicken pizza and it wasn’t overloaded with Buffalo sauce. Great balance. Also one of the few places open in The Bottom on a Sunday afternoon slash evening

Decent enough place. Good location, great ambience, friendly wait staff. Simple menu isn’t cluttered with options and everything is relatively high quality. Pizza is good effort, poor execution. Thin crust style but the toppings are way too heavy and clunky. All my olives were whole, meaning they had a tendency to roll right off the pizza. Also, the crust has no strength and couldn’t support the toppings. If they partially pre-bake the crust before saucing this will add more structure and improve the crunch we all love from a thin crust. Otherwise, a nice casual place that had quick service and delicious food. The pizza is what drags them down to 3 stars.

Delicious! Authentic Italian pizza. Couldn’t believe it! Best pizza in RVA coming from a Chicago pizza gal. Good prices and great service!

It was really good. Great flavor(pizza & Orange vingearette dressing), very friendly customer service, and steady pace of meal from salads prior to pizza and desert after.

I’ve had lunch here twice in the past week because it’s delicious and it’s a fantastic value. I had a white pizza embellished with sausage and accompanied with a bottle of wine. The portions are perfect for two and I’ve left with a couple of slices each time for an afternoon snack. The wood burning pizza oven smells great and the server is as personable as can be. This is probably the best value for your money in the entire City of Richmond.

I went to Shockoe Valley Pizza for an early dinner. We were kindly greeted and seated by a hostess. I ordered Shockoe nachos(Spicy Chorizo, Cheese Beer Dip, & Pico de Gallo) as an appetizer. Everything blended well together. Our nachos were tasty(chips could have been softer IMO). I had an Gypsy pizza(White Garlic & Oil Sauce, Fresh Mozzarella, Broccoli, Spicy Sausage, Oregano and EVOO) as well. The pizza was cooked very well. The crust had good texture. All ingredients came together perfectly(tasty). I saved some room for dessert. I got crème brûlée cheesecake, which was delicious. Our waitress was attentive and down to earth. Shockoe Valley Pizza has a nice ambience. Some assigned parking is in a small lot or you may be able to street park. Overall, I enjoyed my meal here. Shockoe Valley Pizza is a good choice for pizza in Downtown Richmond.

So glad, I found this place, not only have met nice friendly people there, but the staff is helpful and knowledge about the dishes. The wood fire pizza is the best, and you can make suggestions to add to your liking. Affordable and friendly, close to home and down to earth place. If you get a chance please stop by. All I have to say is Yummy!

The Family and I dropped in for dinner and had a great dining experience. David at the door greeted us and got us sat right away. We ordered drinks off the Happy Hour Menu, the beer cheese dip as an appetizer and 3 Pizzas for dinner to try a variety of things for the first time here. We were not disappointed! The appetizer came with a perfect amount of pretzels to finish the dip which is a bonus because you normally have to ask for more dippers at most restaurants. We had ordered a cheese for my son, my fiancé had the«First Love» and I had The Garden. My pizza came with a variety of delicious veggies(not mushy or raw, perfectly cooked). My only suggestion would be to have a kid’s menu with a few options. We will definitely return and spread word to family and friends to try them out. Friendly Staff, Great Pizza and drink specials.

My go-to spot for quick food and friendly people! The nachos and the honey sriracha wings are awesome!!! And of course, the wood fired pizza is my favorite in Richmond; it cooks quickly tastes great. They have a good wine too. I’m really happy this place opened up in my apartment complex.

Well hello Wood fired pizza oven of the old«Flames 231»! It’s been a while, I’ve missed you. Hahaha Little burnt nuggets of goodness.(Yes it’s supposed to look that way) It’s a Neapolitan pizza place! Come on now! There’s only 1 other that I know of. We met the owner, very nice guy. Food was great. Although beer cheese a little runny, the pretzel sticks are delicious. Nice and buttery. David the server was attentive and handled our table very well. Next time I need a pizza fix I’ll be back to try some other combos. I had the«First Love» pizza with arugula, shaved Parmesan, red sauce, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella. Next time I’ll leave the ‘maters off. Although I love em, seemed a little over kill on the tomato. Great pizza though. See you guys soon!

I ordered the Piggy and my pizza had burnt crust on one half of the pizza. When I went back to the restaurant I was told by the cook that it’s because of the brick oven and if he remade it there is no guarantee it won’t be burnt, or worse raw. I took it back home hoping to just pick off the burnt crust and little did I know the bottom was burnt too. I without a doubt believe a brick oven pizza can be cooked without being burnt. Telling me my choices are raw or burnt is unacceptable for a pizza place. I am overly disappointed. Everyone be warned!
