We got here at about 7pm on a Sunday. There was a good amount of people but it was kinda later in the night so when food went out they, didn’t replace it. I was impressed by the sushi selection however since they did have a good portion of squid, red clam, and kani. They also have a noodle bar where you make your own noodles which some asian buffets don’t have. I would recommend the stuffed mushrooms. The dessert section was nice as well. Instead of the messy soft serve machines they have little Heresys ice cream cups which I think is a cleaner and smarter alternative. The bundt cake that they also had for dessert was moist, rich and very yummy with the sprinkles on top. I would definitely come again, but probably at an earlier time.

Im surprised this place only has 3 stars. I was very impressed with the atmosphere, service and the quantity and quality of food. It has all of the traditional Chinese buffet food, plus SO much more — including a sushi and hibachi bar. I would highly recommend this place!

My boyfriend and I decided to try this buffet because there was a coupon for 5.99 per person with a purchase of drink. I thought why not, it’s cheap. well, you get what you pay for!!! Very minimal selections of sushi! Most of their sushi are either stuffed with cucumber or with cream cheese! Very disappointed! I don’t even know how other people can rate this place with 5 stars!

Clean, delicious and reasonably priced. What more could you ask for from a buffet? Everything from the duck to the ribs to the rice were delicious. Service was great. Only downside is restroom — clean but in need of updating.

Decided to try this place for lunch today… bad idea! As I walked in it seemed to be a pretty decent place. Once we got seated and went to make our seats, that changed. The food on the buffet was just warm, not hot. Everything except the soups needed to be replenished. We attempted to try the hibachi, but our bowls just sat there waiting to be cooked. They were still sitting there when we left! Also, the booth where we were seated was broken and almost fell when another family was seated behind us. I will not be returning. Hopefully I can find another buffet similar but with better quality food.

I must say for as far as Asian buffets go this is one of the good ones. There’s a really cool variety of things to try. It’s not five star dining, but I don’t think anyone expects it to be. It’s a buffet. Things like the breaded octopus were delicious though along with an amazing assortment of tasty dumplings. I was surprised by some unusual items such as chicken feet(odd but not too bad!) and what seemed to be some seaweed dishes. The sushi could have been better but again, it’s a buffet. And as far as sushi at a buffet goes it was alright. The desert table had some true stars though. There were little cake squares that didn’t look like much but the black forest and mocha mousse were absolutely delightful. Very tasty. Prices were alright. I saw under $ 10 on Unilocal but I think dinner and lunch prices must be different or they charge for your drinks(the check did not list prices for individual items such as two dinners and two pepsis) because two people came to around $ 30. All in all though it’s a solid buffet. I went in, got my fill, and came home happy and full. I’ll probably go there again sometime.

Wow, haven’t had food this bad in a long time. This has got to be one of the top 3 worst restaurants I’ve ever had the blessed opportunity of eating at, in my whole life. And I’m 30 years old. Wasted money.

I hate to be Debbie downer… please don’t waste your time here. The food was nasty, all hot dishes were over cooked and not being properly changed out. The oysters were not fresh. If I could give this spot zero stars I would.

Soooo yummy! My daughter and I were at the Total wine and more store in the same shopping center and talking about how hungry we were. The cashier recommended this place and said they have an awesome buffet, so we decided to try it. We were glad we did. I have not had this good of food at a buffet in a long time so glad we took the chance. We will definitely be back.

well.(._.) I’ve always wanted to go here, ever since it was built. I was more enthused by the koi pond upon entrance than I was about the lackluster nom noms. The staff here was quite nice, which is more than I can say about asian restaurants in Richmond. I tried almost everything a pescatarian could possible eat, straying away from the raw bar. Sadly, my favorite things there were the cheese rangoon and the lo mein, which I feel says enough about this place. le’sigh.

Buffets are a guilty pleasure of mine and this place is on my list. Formerly super king buffet(the tables and plates still says it), this place offers a wide variety of options including many of the Chinese crowd pleasers. So far, this is the only place that I know that offers congee on their buffet line and it’s good. Maybe a little over half their food is consistently good while the other half is a hit or miss. The service is good and their hibachi cook knows his stuff. With a great price, good service, and tastey food… for a Chinese buffet this is one of the better guilty pleasure places this side of town.

As Egregiously Deplorable as a Packet of Sea Monkeys It it’s heyday(roughly from 2005 – 2009), this place was the largest and most elegant Japanese and Chinese buffet in town. You’d stroll thru the beautifully designed space, which is as big as a couple of football fields and cross over the bridges inside that would take you over clear streams of healthy Koi– and the place would be packed. Back then it was called«SuperKing Buffet.» Since then a lot has changed and I didn’t need to stick around long enough to eat there to understand why the place was empty. I walked in and was greeted by a very different resturant. I only stayed six minutes — enough time for me to be taken to a rather dirty booth and stroll down the empty buffet isles just knowing I’d be risking my health if I ate there. It’s not something worth doing when there’s that much seafood sitting around. Most of it neither looked nor smelled appetizing. I feel like I’m cheating on this review a little bit because it’s like walking out of a movie without staying until the very end. But if you read my previous review of Ranchero Viejo in Roanoke, VA that resulted in a horrific one week battle of food poisoning, I’m glad I trusted my instincts. A quick Google search when I got home confirmed there were 3 critical and 11 non-critical health violations there during their December inspection.

Immediately upon entering the restaurant, i could tell that there was a lot of food in this room. I was promptly seated and given water, which was very clear. I then went to where the food was and there was sooooo much of it. I started by putting a lot of it on my plate. It took me about 5 minutes to put it all on there. Then i went to sit down and eat it all. Eating it took about 10 minutes and then i was off for more food. 5 minutes later, i had another full plate of food. It all had pork or shrimps in it. It took me about 15 minutes to eat then now its pizza time! I grabbed all the slices i could and ate it. Time for dessert. There were so many options so i just ate chocolate pudding. All in all the experience took about an hour.

Could not find much to eat here other than miso soup and crab legs. And they are very stingy with the crab legs. If I”m craving asian food, buffet-style I’m probably going to go somewhere else.

I absolutely love this place and eat here frequently. I do believe that their lunch buffet is better than their dinner, but both are good. I like that they have so much variety. They also have sushi, a Mongolian BBQ and a dessert buffet. The staff is always extremely nice and never too far away if you need something. My favorite server is Jim — he speaks the clearest English and will joke and chat with your table — but all the staff is very friendly and smiling. Even when the place is busy, they are good and friendly.

Me and my wife came here on a whim, and despite the poor reviews we decided to give it a go, and were not disappointed! First off, don’t expect 5 star cuisine from a $ 10 buffet. What you can expect however is hot, well made Chinese food with plenty of variety. I tries both octopus and frog legs for the first time here and both were very tasty. The staples such as General Tso’s Chicken and such are also well made and plenty good. There is also a fine selection of soups and deserts. We will definitely be coming back to try the sushi after our son is born.

Asian buffets are everywhere these days. I don’t dine at them often, but sometimes they just sound good. More often than not I’m disappointed with tepid food and otherwise bland items, but to be honest, I really enjoyed my meal here today. –Food: Being a buffet with many choices, I sampled a lot of things here. First off, they have a lot of options including meats with sauce, American food, steamed dishes, fresh fruit, pasta and rice, and then a couple tables with various baked food. Oh, and as the name entails, they have a Sushi station and a Hibachi station. I’m always a fan of the chicken dishes, and I tried just about all of them. From what I can remember, I had Black Pepper Chicken, Coconut Chicken, General Tso’s Chicken, Honey Glazed, and about 3 or 4 other kinds of chicken in a sauce. The Black Pepper and Coconut varieties were actually very tasty. The rest were good as well, but I found myself getting more of the Black Pepper and Coconut Chicken. I also found myself enjoying the fried rice, mandarin oranges, and the shortcake rolls. I often find that rice dries out in buffets but it was surprisingly moist. Perhaps I had a fresh tray. Another surprise was the shortcake roll as almost always they are dry, flavorless, and overall inedible, but I enjoyed the ones here. Oh, and the fried donuts were way too good, as they always are. They must be made with crack. Not everything was stellar though, and normally the amount of items in this category round out my overall impression of buffets to «meh». Surprisingly, I only had a few things I didn’t like. The sushi was quite bad. It was really dry and flavorless. To be honest though, do you expect great sushi with a $ 7 all you can eat price tag? It’s a shame since it’s in the name of the restaurant, but it was to be expected. Another thing I didn’t like was the pineapple rice. The taste was good, but it was dried to a point of almost being crunchy. Which I guess leads me to making the comment that no buffet is immune from tepid and freshness issues. Of course I’m not saying it’s great quality food and ultimately it is just Asian — American fast food type cuisine, but it does a good job at what it is. I’d also like to add I didn’t try the Hibachi. –Cost: $ 7 for a lunch buffet for all you can eat. Plenty of choices and a nice environment warrants the cost. –Atmosphere: The restaurant is in an obscure shopping plaza, but it’s easy to get to and close to where I live. The interior is a bit flashy with lighted displays and a large koi pond. All in all though, it’s nice. –Service: No complaints. Refilled water and everyone there was pleasant. –Overall: I went here expecting a 2 or 3 Star experience given that it is one of many Asian buffets in the area. To be honest, there isn’t anything that stands out that I would preach to other Unilocalers to choose here over another buffet, but I do want to push the fact that a lot of the dishes were actually pretty tasty and fresh. Of course you’ll run into some bad ones and possibly even a bad night, but after eating here today, if I’m ever in the mood to go to an inexpensive all you can eat buffet, Hibachi Sushi will be at the top of my list.

Woah, this place sucks for an Asian buffet. I has high expectations for a Chinese buffet this size but it was a huge disappointment. Service was shockingly great which makes me wonder why they can’t find half decent recipes when you can find a server who’s more than happy to take your plate and refill your drinks. Things I liked: lobster(they did not refill this so I had one piece — very sad), congee, fried chicken wing and the pre-mixed pudding. Things I want to get better: crabs, the entire dim sum bar, and the hot and sour soup. Things that I didn’t try but others may like: sushi and hibachi. Seriously, why fill up on hibachi? Other meats surrounding the bar looked appetizing but I didn’t try.

Their grand opening special is an awesomely priced $ 6.98/adult lunch buffet Monday-Saturday. There’s a large selection of the standards(General Tso’s Chicken, Sesame Chicken, lo mein, steamed veggies, veggies drenched in sauce, seafood, a salad bar, a dessert bar, mac & cheese, questionable pizza) and other exciting things(sushi, Mongolian grill). It was really busy when I went and I had to flag down a waitress to get the coffee that I’d ordered – didn’t get a chance to check the bill to see if they had charged me twice. I was disappointed not to see any coconut shrimp, but they did have coconut chicken.
