I always enjoy their breakfast. I wish they still had deep fried bacon, but it was not very healthy anyway. The variety and quality is. much better than Shane’s buffets.

Stay away! Dead flies in both the coleslaw and macaroni salad. After that sight we asked for a refund. With a little bit of a hassle, they did refund our money minus the cost of the sodas.

This place is a dump. Greasy food, disorganized chow line, no place to sit. Couldn’t find many common items one would expect to find on a buffet. Slow waitress, sketchy looking patrons. Really nasty experience. Avoid it at all costs.

I was told to stay away from this Golden Corral but I didn’t feel like driving into Richmond, what a mistake! This place is disgusting! The food is far from fresh and most of it hard from sitting out so long. The ceiling has a water leak so bad they have a full trash catching the water and the water is still trickling on some of the food. Their bacon was in clumps, the bread cold. The service was OK though

Food was very good except the strawberries and watermelon. The employees are great. Our server was fantastic.

Food here is hit and miss, but this is the best way to go if you have a party of folks who all want something difderent to eat within limits of american cuisine. I enjoy meeting mt friends here –especially for breakfast on the weekends! I love the omelet and waffle station! Right now dinner buffets on Friday during the summertime includes bbq like fare –including ribs, shredded chicken, bbq pork, etc. Something interesting they are going to put on for the next several weeks is breakfast food as a part of the dinner buffet. So… if you see those trays of bfast food don’t freak out, they aren’t hours and hours and hours of stale-like old, but a comforting mash-up of their breakfast and dinner dishes.

Worst service ever, had a lady named Rosa helping us tonight(Monday) it’s a buffet so you don’t really have to tend to the customer that much, but you should keep their drinks filled well Rosa seemed to not be able to do that, she walked passed my table maybe 5 or 6 times while my cup was empty I even tried to get her attention it was like she was ignoring my table. She refilled the drinks on tables near me I am very disappointed in the service and think it was a waste of my money. I wouldn’t even give it one star if I could. Only thing they had going for them here was it was clean, food wasn’t even that good… I wish I had gone somewhere else for dinner tonight and not this place! WORSESERVICEEVER!

So I went Sunday morning at around 10:15 or so. Let me start by saying I expected the worst! I generally don’t like places like this, buffets and self serve places aren’t what I think of when I think of going out to eat. That being said, my wife is pregnant and picky… happy wife happy life right? Oh I forgot to mention my buddy tagged along with his 4 and 6 year old daughters. As we got there I was surprised by how few people were in the place. We went in the line was fairly long to get a drink and pay, but it was moving quickly. We got plates and walked until we all found what we wanted, thinking it was going to be the only time we would get a choice of breakfast foods we all got a bit carried away! Service: well we got to the table the server had been there but there was no silverware on the table, so we found some and started eating. She walked past us a couple times not seeming to notice we were there. Finally, I got up and asked her if she could help me find something(for my wife of coarse:)) and she went above and beyond to help me find it! I was genuinely surprised(even though it wasn’t what she wanted) from then on she was on top of her game with us! The food/desserts: they had everything anyone wanted! If you go into Golden Corral and can’t find something you like, you may as well stay home and cook it yourself with a smile on your face! They had everything from eggs to pizza to steak, potatoes, bacon and sausage(turkey And regular) omelette station, waffle station, fruit, I mean the works! The 6 year old that was with us ran us ragged to all the tables, several times! And the dessert station was the same way! Cakes, pies, fruit, a chocolate fountain(although after watching the funny, yet disgusting things kids do there I personally wouldn’t eat it, as it recycles the unused chocolate) ice cream station. They had soft serve varieties as well as a variety of hand scooped options. The 9 or so choices of candy toppers didn’t hurt either, It was epic! In summary it was no 5 star quality food, but I don’t think anyone expects that. The service was poor in the beginning and awesome at the end and the overall experience was not bad 3 stars, maybe 4 but definitely 3! Oh I almost forgot, Most definitely need to consider a nap afterwards!

Great for a group! Our marching band was traveling between Fredericksburg and Powatan High School, west of Richmond on a 16-hour double performance odyssey, and needed some place warm and indoors to feed over 90 mouths around 5 p.m. on a Saturday. I found the online reservation system a breeze to use, and it even offered two free meals per bus(for the driver and tour operator). We were a little early, but they were ready with a dedicated area for all the students, and overflow tables for the staff and parents. The staff were courteous and efficient, and even the pickiest of eaters found plenty to choose from. While Golden Corral will never earn any Michelin stars, there was a huge variety, and going when we did meant that the food containers were constantly being replenished with fresh food. Steaks cooked to order didn’t hurt either. I would definitely recommend this Golden Corral for their location, selection, and service.

Good generally satisfactory. It’s hard to witness the abhorrent waste that many people feel entitled to commit.

I like coming here because the food is good and it’s cheap. The employees are always nice. Come here if you’re hungry but if you come on weekends, especially Sunday, be prepared for it to be crowded

The Golden Corral is where people who have given up on a healthy or satisfying life go to die in the most depressing way possible. This is one of the most depressing food emporiums I have ever encountered. I had a view of the recirculating chocolate thing the whole time. Oh. the. horror. Hands and crumbs are in there, people. There is double-dipping. Your chocolate covered strawberry includes saliva. Mostly from children. Not all. Please note that I speak of this as an obese woman. I felt freakin’ svelte in there, and not necessarily in size. Just based on the food and potential for damage to one’s body, I felt that my potential was of a svelter variety that those who seemed to eat there regularly. I was… horrified by the whole thing. Um, the server was very nice and friendly. That’s the positive part of the visit. And the cornbread stuffing was as expected. I am a fat woman, and I got a salad in response to the horror around me. I cannot stop saying horror and related words, but that’s what I felt. Oh, and another positive: Fat people feel normal-sized. I did. And it may be the one place where shirts tucked into leggings mean you fit right in with the community. Enjoy that while you get your cotton candy.

I went here one Friday morning for a breakfast buffet. There was quiche, muffins, biscuits, pancakes, breakfast pizza, cherry and apple fruit toppings, various kinds of breakfast potatoes, french toast, a few kinds of sausage, bacon, even an omelette and waffle station. On top of that, the salad station and dessert station(chocolate dipped anything? pie?) were open. Because why not? A note: the juice had two different labels on the machine. Might want to take a glass and taste test before you commit to an entire cup of orange-mango when you thought it was straight up orange. For about $ 8/person we stuffed ourselves on breakfast foods. And around 10:30ish they started bringing out lunch items as well. Fries, everything fried, the fixings for tacos/burritos, etc. Of course when you come here you’ll overeat. Of course it isn’t going to be 4 star food. But you get a lot of whatever you want. And you’ll probably want to pencil in a nap right after, so take that into consideration when budgeting your time. ;)

I highly dislike buffets but on occasion I find myself at them.(usually it’s b/c that’s the direction the herd is going) I honestly wanted to go to the waffle house but my sister opted to go here. So we went. The food here is fine, we ate there on a Sunday around 9am so the crowd wasn’t bad. My favorite food there was the breakfast egg and cheese pizza. Being that it’s a buffet I figured overeating is fine, so I ended my breakfast with their cherry cobbler and ice cream… I mean, they had everything set up for breakfast but they also had dessert out as if it was dinner time… i mean what the hey, what was I suppose to do? I think I went to the buffet for myself three times but I had to actually go to the food area 5 or 6 times b/c of my nephew. It was really fun, I would go there again. They also have an omelet station and it was really funny b/c my dad wanted one but every time he went up to grab one, there was always a long line, and every time I passed it, there was never a line. I also learned after being here with my family that we all have ocd when it comes to cleaning up our own table after eating. It’s second nature to me to tidy up but I realized my sister and my father did it and I said to them, «so that’s where I get this from.“lol

Meh. I’m not a fan of buffets so my review may be a bit biased. The food was very Southern with stuff like hush puppies, collard greens and fried okra to name a few. It reminded my of Hometown Buffet, except southern. The price for lunch was decent, $ 7.69, but I think I would still eat elsewhere. The workers there were really nice and friendly though, so one star for that!

OHWHAT A BEAUTIFULDAY. it’s friday night and it’s BUFFETNIGHT. i grew up around the corner from this wonder place when it was built and it brings back memories of me and my friends spending our well earned after school job money on fried chicken, mashed potatoes, heaps of corn on the cob and not able to leave any room for dessert. most nights ended with me keeled over in my chair with a half eaten ice cream cone on my face, the melted ice cream cascading down my face and shirt. i’m not sure about these days but i’m purely judging off of past experiences. i mean. it IS virginia. and nothing is better to us southerners than a good buffet. i mean… high school football is good. but a buffet? shucks. the service from what i remember wasn’t much but what did you expect? the waitrresses were really nice, considering i went to high school with like 4 of them and i used to get the hook up so… forget it… the service was excellent. maaan. i live in chicago now and you know how hard it is to find a good buffet around here? even a chain restaurant. jeez.
