O’Charley’s Restaurant & Bar

This our regular chain spot since it’s so close to home, service isn’t always perfect but the bartenders are always on point and you really can’t beat the price for drinks + food.

Their Caesar salad is sooooo good!!! And I’m not much of a salad person lol. Their chicken tenders are the bomb and so is they bacon smashed potatoes

Tried calling twice for a ToGo Order, and was put on hold both times which exceeded 10min.

We had our first visit to this establishment for an early Saturday dinner.
First, handicap parking, there are several spots, however, they are not the closest to the entrance. There are three «to go» spots all right in front of the entrance. Those should be handicap spots.
Staff was very friendly, prompt to attend and cheerful. Started with stuffed potato skins as an appetizer, but only sour cream offered as a dipper.
I had a rib eye steak, medium, cole slaw and bacon smashed potatoes. Steak was quite good, as were the potatoes, I’m no fan of the cole slaw, to coarse a chop, and the dressing was too thin and not really sweet.
If you are used to the overcharged Richmond food tax, it’s all good, If you aren’t, it gets pricey pretty quickly.

This place went Above & Beyond expectations when they provided the Veterans at McGuire Veterans Hospital SCI wards dinner. Food was GREAT and for the amount of orders (60+) was timely.

Chicken tenders, hush puppies & FF all very good. Margaritas excellent and very well priced on happy hour. Service good and friendly.

For chain food I score them high marks. I always get take-​out, so cant comment on the service, but everything I’ve ever had was delicious and well prepared. Especially delicious are the French Dip Sandwich and the French Silk Pie.

If you go to this particular O’Charleys… ask for Robert as your server. He will go above and beyond the call of duty for customers. You never have to ask for refills on drinks, extra bread and your food will come out in a reasonable amount of time. I cant speak for any other server there.

Never have been a fan of this chain, and this location cemented my negative opinion. I usually can find one positive, not here. Food was tasteless. Staff was lacking in all areas.

Most of the time it’s the food that make the experience so great but when you have great food an great service you can’t go wrong with that!
Out waiter was Robert and if you ever visit make sure to ask for him! Very nice to talk to, drinks always refilled, bread always hot and fresh… food was cooked just as we order and he even got us strawberry lemonades to go!
I ordered the overloaded brunch platter with waffles, steak, home fries, bacon and eggs and it was delicious! The food was hot when it came to the table and again Robert made sure that everything was prepared right!
I had a great visit! And look forward to stopping back in soon!

OMG, this has got to be the worst place in Richmond. And I’m pretty good at giving 2^nd and 3^rd chances. I went there last Friday night and got a cheeseburger. First, we were seated and were told that our server would be with us «in a minute». Well, a minute turned into 5, and then 10. We were on the verge of walking out, when a very nice worker saw us sitting there and asked us if we had been helped. We said no, and she apoligized and took our order. She was awsome. A few minutes later, our «server» approached us and asked if we’d like to place our order, to which we replied, «we’ve already been helped».
Well, the worst part of the ordeal was later that night. I had the WORST diarrheah I’ve ever had. I know it was from the burger, it had a freezer burn type taste to it, but I was hungry and ate it anyway… big mistake. So, if you’re on a date and you’re hoping for some hanky panky after dinner, avoid this place. It’s not cool to be in the bathroom, making explosive sounds while your date is in the next room. Embarrassing…

Forget Ruby Tuesday, Apple Bees, and Friday … this is the spot! Drinks are great, the food is great and don’t get me started on the rolls! This restaurant is a Cracker Barrel meets Olive Garden. You won’t be disappointed.
