I took my daughter to paint pottery at Color Me Mine… friends joined us and we decided afterward we wanted to grab a bite to eat and a drink. We didn’t want to cross Broad Street so settled on Bertucci’s.
I’ve been to Bertucci’s a few times before… once to have apps and a drink with a friend and for a work lunch. The food was good both times and this time is no different. It’s not the best Italian or pizza I’ve had, but the flatbread was good (I had the eggplant flatbread), the salad cool and crisp, and the Stella hit the spot. My daughter got the cheese flatbread and lunch for both of us was $ 23 without the tip. At lunch, for $ 7.99 you get flatbread or a focaccia sandwich, unlimited salad and bread with olive oil and spices. If you’re on a budget, this is a great lunch spot… think of it as a better version of Olive Garden (no offense Olive Garden).

Figured since it was located in the short pump area the food would be great, but was disappointed. The warm bread was delicious and the salad was adequate. However, the ravioli was just not worth the price at all. It was like they slathered tomato paste rather than actual sauce on the pasta. Maybe the pizza is yummier (I observed some families ordering them)? Most likely won’t return though.

3 course dinner for $ 20 is a steal. Since I came from LA, I grew up with Cheesecake when I was in college. It was like my cafeteria/homework/project spot. I didn’t get to try Bert even tho I’m just 10 mins from where I live in RVA. After yesterday’s dinner, I plan to go to Bert more often. Food are great. Pictures attached.

Great service. The bread was perfect, and the olive oil with garlic to dip the bread in was even better! I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs with the meat sauce (Bolognese?). The meat sauce was not very «meaty», that is my only complaint. I didn’t try dessert, but I had a good time, and would go back to the restaurant.

My men could eat a Pucillo pizza every 6 hours, and the bonus at Bertucci’s is their free rolls, which are always amazing. But the best part is that you can actually get vegetables at the same time as your pizza: terrific salads, vegetable dishes or other entrees. In other words, something for everyone – not just the pizza eaters.

I love Bertucci’s for lunch! There is unlimited salad and bread for the lunch entrees. My mom and I love to come here to eat together. We don’t really like to come for dinner because it is a little pricy. I always ask to play with the raw dough. It’s so fun! It’s meant for kids but everyone is a kid at heart. So good! The spaghetti and meatballs are so good!

I am happy to share that this Bertucci’s has absolutely slayed me on my past two visits.
This evenings dinner was perfect in every way.
My good fortune started with having Jillian as my server. If there is a better server in RVA I have not met them. She was awesome!
I usually order the Bertucci Pizza (Pepperoni) and I loved that it came out perfect. The atmosphere is so comfortable you tend to forget this is a chain restaurant.
I think their Manager Scott has this team firing on all cylinders and I was blown away this visit.
I couldn’t wait to update my review. When you get great service AND great food… Then you have to Unilocal about it. 5 stars Bertucci! Thank you.

I want to give this restaurant a great review but the entire time I was there I was thinking man I should have hit up Carrabba’s or should have went to Maggianos. Our server was great and very attentive. Very nice looking place. The pizza is great. brick oven style, the Mrs had that, but the salads were just ok and the pasta was just ok. The marinara sauce was very thin and watery. I have been three times and I want to be clear, they are not bad, just with other Italian eateries near by, not bad may not be enough. I agree with Rachel G, a step up from Olive Garden, but will not wow you.

We loved the new covered patio! The food and service was great as usual but being outside with shade and overhead fan was cool even though it was 80 outside!

Stopped in with the family and my parents at 5pm on a Saturday. Place was empty. Which we thought was good. Bottom line service was horribly slow. We called the manager over more times than our waitress checked in on us. Appetizer came out cold. They did comp it. Got a pasta order that was incorrect. Sent it back and it returned undrained. Sent it back a second time. Soup was overlooked rendering the pasta mushy. I had the fettuccini jambalaya. Pasta was all stuck together. Little details were missing such as no large spoon in pasta dishes. Used plates and glasses weren’t removed until we were leaving.
Bottom line is that there are too many options in Short Pump area for us to give this place another chance. I actually would be shocked if it stayed in business long enough for us to do so.

Ate here this evening. After a significant number of poor reviews I was not expecting much. We ordered 2 pizza’s and a calzone and the meal was good, the waitress (alba) was friendly. I felt as if the restaurant could have cleaner, eg., had to brush the crumbs off my seat and the front outside windows were dirty.

Two words: Sangria Moscato! I haven’t eaten here in years because, although delicious, there was nothing really special about the food. There are many Italian restaurants just as good and a little better priced, but this sangria moscato brought me back. A friend tried this drink and asked for me to join her for dinner one night, and it was GREAT! If you want good Italian oven fired fare and great libations, then give this place a shot!

A solid so so 2 to 3 stars. Got the M argareta pizza and it was good. Also got the chicken parmesan. Sort of thin dried out and overcooked. It was combined with so so spaghetti sauce. Also got the alfredo dish and it was so so. Not buttery or creamy like you would expect. Somewhat pricy for what we got. Plenty of places to go in short pump. I will not be going back any time soon. They need to step their game because the neighboring competition is getting better.
Atmosphere was so so. They were setting up for a painting class of 30 while we were eating. Sort of annoying and entertaining at the same time.
Note to management. Go to cheesecake factory across street and order the alfredo. Take notes and change accordingly.

Food here is okay, I’ve been to a Bertucci’s before (Woodbridge, NJ) and their food was a lot better. The manager (maybe she wasn’t the manager) didn’t even bother to ask if our food was okay, the service was marginal, but the food was okay. Not my favorite Bertucci’s, and for Short Pump (a prestigious area) they could do a lot better.

I had the chicken tortellini and it was great! The cheese sauce did seem like everything my diet was against but i enjoied every bite. My boyfriend had the jambalaya which he enjoied. It was not crowed at all for a saturday night so service was great.

Tried this during a business trip. Atmosphere is comfortable and food was good. The brick oven pizza was a great choice and the wait staff were very attentive. I’ll be back on the next trip.
