Carrabba’s Italian Grill

Monday special is pretty much unbeatable for the type of food and portion. It has one of the best online order pick up in store services in the area — comparing to chain restaurants at the same level, such as bertucci, Apple bee, or even cheesecake in the short pump area.

I got the lunch trio. The meatballs dish was very small with only two meatballs. Italian salad was standard, nothing extraordinary. And the minestrone soup was salty and had too many beans. Very subpar for Italian food.

This place deserves 5 stars! The food is so delicious and clean… Last night they ran out of Cheesecake and all of sudden the owner shows up at our table apologizing and giving us free Cheesecake for the next time! So sweet! The staff is really friendly aswell. My favorite restaurant!

My husband and I dine here at least a couple
of times a month. The food is delicious and consistent. The staff is so friendly. The bartender (Greg) makes you feel welcomed, the manager always stops by just to say hello and the last time we were there one of chefs (Roberto) personally came out to see how we enjoyed their new appetizers.
Love the new apps! Our favorite is the new chicken wing appetizer. So yummy and it eats like a meal! Can’t wait to go back!

Very noisy. Small booths. Our wine finally came out after the first course was served, despite being the first thing we ordered. I had to remind them twice.
They also got my wife’s order wrong. By the time they corrected it, I was done with my meal.
We gave this place a whirl because we had a 20% off coupon. I don’t think we’d be back even for 50% off.
Food quality was average.

It was one of my worst dining experiences in my life (51yrs). The appearance is not bad, and my waitress was nice. I had a three year old and we entertained her for more than an hour waiting for Lasagna and a Chicken Parmesan. until I asked for it to go. Got home and the portion was tiny and the quality was poor at best. How do they stay in business? It was a horrible experience and the rest of the staff sucked. It’s concurrent with the Short Pump area.

My 2^nd time here, Saturday night, they were pretty busy, and the wait was 35 mins. But, there were only 2 of us so they offered immediate seating sidebar to the kitchen. This instantly made me think of chef ramsey on hells kitchen. we decided to go with it but when we got there, it was too smoky and directly in front of the grill so we ended up sitting with friends we ran into instead.
The food: appetizer was the shrimp diavolo, this is very spicy and good. The shrimp is buttery and has a kick to it. (Really only enough for 2 ppl)
My drink: blackberry sangria… one word. Yasss! :) I highly recommend this drink. It was expensive $ 8 but very, very good.
My entrée: I tried the cedar grilled salmon. Loved it. It came with some kind of salsa on top. I could have done without that because the salmon was so good alone with just the seasonings. The side was mashed potatoes. These had a little kick to them also. very good, the serving was pretty big too.
The bread: some kind of warm white bread (maybe soudough), with the oil & herbs to dip.
Everything was great except our server Will had this annoying sense of humor. Everytime he spoke to us or if we asked for something he would say «no, cant do that.» Or some other obnoxious snippy answer. He was clearly trying to be funny. and the 1^st time it was cute and funny. but he literally did it everytime one of us spoke to him and it became annoying. He was nice, he served us great, but the annoying jokes were excessive. It came to a point where we didnt want to ask him anything just so we didnt have to hear the obnoxious comeback. Sorry guy but it was over the top.

My wife and I went this past weekend and we had a great time.
From the start, the host were really friendly and we got the booth we wanted, the server (Alicia) was personable and knowledgeable, friendly but not familiar.
The food was excellent, hot-​fresh-​delicious, my favorite– cavatappi amatriciana with grilled shrimp and the blackberry sangria. The manager (Sean) stopped and we chatted about our experience and the food, what a nice guy.
We’ll be back next week!

Every time I come here, the food is great. Great service and great food! Wherever you sit it can be loud but this is the best Carabbas I have been to. Other places are eh but this one is great!

We’ve eaten at several Carrabba’s locations and this one didn’t disappoint us. The food was excellent and the waiter did a great job. Highly recommend it.

Had a wonderful dinner here a couple of nights ago. It was my first time at this location. It was a Friday night and we got there at 8pm. Thankfully we just missed a rush of people coming in, so we were able to get a table without waiting.
I ordered the Mezzaluna, which is half moon ravioli with chicken, spinach, and romano and ricotta cheeses all Ina tomato cream sauce. It was delish! He ordered the lobster ravioli and loved it just as much. The portion sizes for these dishes was perfect. You felt satisfied but not so full you regret it!
For dessert, we split the Tiramisu. It was perfect and delicious! It was great for splitting too.
The service was top notch. Our server was attentive and so were the others that brought anything to our table. Only downfall was the sticky bathroom floor, hopefully it isn’t usually like that.
Always love Carrabbas and glad I chose a new entrée (typically get Fettuccine Carrabba or Spaghetti with meatballs). And definitely plan on coming back to this location with the beautiful outdoor seating.

I absolutely LOVE this place. I’ve been coming here since they opened. They always prepare my food to my liking and if not it doesn’t take them 50 tries to get it done right. The Proprietor is an AMAZING individual who definitely sets the standards when it comes to quality and service. He works hard just like his team. Majority of the servers here are very nice and personable. The restroom stays clean about 85 to 90% of the time. My favorite dishes are the Sirloin Marsala or the Pork chops Marsala with the mashed potatoes and extra sauce over the potatoes. YUMMY! I just tried the sausage and lentil soup and it is very tasty. I wish they offered wine tastings and pairings at this location but other than that very happy with this location.

Way too many hostess at the door. Cannot even figure out where me and my husband should be seated. They are always on their phones texting and not working like a team. Other than that, food was okay.

Always like Carrabas and you just can’t get Sirloin Marsala anywhere else. And it’s good. Their fried calamari is also very good.

I’ve been here a few times but have never had the type of service the bartender Greg graced us with, as far as I’m concerned he should be running the place, I literally had him order for me and he was spot on! I appreciate his attention to detail and exquisite customer service, I am a sales rep and can appreciate his passion for his work!

I’m not into chains, but I was in a rush, and I wanted some pasta and meat, and Carrabba’s was close by. I called to place my order and was greeted by the most polite gentleman who asked all of the right questions and cheerfully provided information on options and carside delivery since I’d never done it before.
Seconds after I arrived, he greeted me at my car with the tab and offered a complimentary drink while I waited since I arrived well before the agreed upon time. As I waited with my beverage, I noticed he provided other carside pickup customers with the same exemplary service.
As for the food, my sirloin was more medium well than medium, but it was pretty tasty, as was the pasta. I was so full that I didn’t even eat the salad that also came with the meal.
I’m glad to know Carrabba’s has such excellent service and decent food options in the Short Pump area.

Ate here recently to celebrate my Honey’s birthday. I was so excited because we haven’t been in a while, and it was one of our favorite spots down in Virginia Beach. I usually love everything!
This one opened maybe a month ago, if even that. I think they are still gathering their bearings, food-​wise. Chicken Bryan is normally my favorite, but it just tasted ok to me, & the pasta was already cold when it arrived. My favorite parts of the meal: the bread, lentil soup, & Blackberry Sangria. Our waiter was also really cool.
I would def give them another shot, only because of my past greater experiences at the Virginia Beach location.

Just okay. I’ve eaten at other Carraba’s and the food was really good. The food at this location is bland. Ordered the calamari and arancini… both were fine, but nothing remarkable. The calamari was chewy and the marinara bland. The arancini had a nice fennel flavor from the sausage, but the texture was really soft.
For entrees I ordered the wood-​grilled mahi and hubby got the sirloin Marsala, also wood grilled. Neither one of us could taste the wood grilling, so again nothing remarkable.
The best part of the whole meal was the tiramisu. It was really good and I might stop by this Carraba’s location for dessert. It’ll be interesting to see if this location makes it… in short pump there are lots of chain restaurants to choose from as well as many local restaurants just a short drive. Also Italian is a pretty crowded category, so you better bring your A game. For me, I won’t go back unless the food drastically improves.

I was able to have lunch here for the Friends and Family open they did right before the official open. I have been skeptical of Carrabas since I am not a huge Italian fan. That being said, I was WOWED by the service and food at this location.
I had the Chicken Parmesan, which was fantastic. Not too greasy and the perfect portion for lunch. Others around the table had The Mediterranean Salad, Fettuccine Carrabba, and The Steak Panini. We shared a bit of our meals with everyone at the table, and I loved everything I tasted. The servers were wonderful, and very attentive to our needs. I also discovered they have a happy hour special for thier drinks starting at 3pm. I will definitely be back!
