This place is amazing if you are looking for a unique gift. There are so many pieces of special jewelry that we didn’t even make it to the second floor!

This is an amazing antique store — especially if you are looking for jewelry. I could have spent hours looking through the cases. The owners are very helpful and friendly and will let you browse on your own or help you look for something in particular. There was a very impressive selection of clip on earrings, which was lovely since I can’t wear pierced earrings. I will be back on every stroll through Carytown!

Wow! Anthill blew me away — both in their selection and customer service. Judy helped me pick out a beautiful pair of white enamel hoop earrings. I told her what I wanted, and she sorted through her things and found about 10 pairs in prices ranging from $ 6 to $ 30 of earrings that fit my criteria! I got a great pair of vintage 40’s Monet hoops for about $ 24. I called later with a description of a dress I was wearing for a black tie event, and she picked out the best pieces to match. It can be a bit overwhelming as they have so many pieces, but everything is very well organized. There is a good selection of vintage pieces and creations made by Kay Adams from vintage and new pieces. A little note, they really specialize in jewelry — there are no coins or many other collectible pieces.

This is little secret for those of you who appreciate good quality signed costume jewelery from the 40s-60s. This place is a hidden gem. My sister collects the hand set higher quality costume from this era and I have traditionally bought her a piece for holidays and special occasions. Some of my best finds have been at Anthill. I bought her two beautiful broaches her for about $ 50 each by famous designers I also found some great deco, high quality crystal bracelets(the kinds flappers used to wear) in mint condition. She has raved about everything and I am pleased to be able to send those looking for vintage jewelery to Anthill. Lastly, they really know their stuff and are very helpful, welcoming, and knowledgeable.

I love, Love, LOVE the selection of jewelry at Anthill Antiques. As the previous reviewer noted, you’ll find anything from $ 5 beaded necklaces and bangles to some very nice collectible vintage designer pieces. Every case is packed and the staff is always happy to get things out to show. Along with the vintage jewelry, co-owner Kay Adams makes old jewelry into new, chunky pieces and sells them in the store. She makes mostly necklaces. Each piece is completely unique. Some are simple with vintage belt buckles that have been turned into pendants, and some are super kooky and made with old santa jewelry or old clocks. The pieces make great gifts. Along with the plethora of jewelry, Anthill specializes in chandeliers and sells lots of different prisms for them. They also have a lot of buttons, glassware and other fun vintage items. This is definitely a great spot for treasure hunting!

Cool store for treasure hunting– Anthill carries a wide range of antique and vintage jewelry. In fact, when you first go in you might think it’s all jewelry and chandeliers, but the front window has vintage glassware(Fenton, etc.) and you’ll find other little unique items scattered around in odd corners of the main floor. There is also an upstairs area where you can find random odds and ends(old books, pictures, kitchen knick-knacks, etc.), including vintage lighting fixtures(Tiffany-style lamps, etc.). And lest I forget, they have a huge assortment of vintage jewelry. Some of the cases have pairs of earrings for $ 10, and others have real diamond bracelets in them… you just have to hunt around and see what you can find. They have trays filled with old pins, tie clips, cool cufflinks… This is a great place to buy gifts for special occasions, when you want something unique. It reminds me a lot of rummaging through my grandmothers jewelry boxes… The women who work behind the counter(I’ve met two so far) are both very nice, and if you find something you really love, they can change it to meet your specifications. My mother found a pair of earrings she adored, and had them changed from posts to fishhooks. The charge was minimal, and she loves them! My dad also bought me replicas of Princess Diana earrings there– huge blue square stones surrounded by diamonds. Very 80s– I wear them with shoulder pads and pumps of course.
