Good(very Dallas) ambience, tasty food and friendly staff. This place is great, but it doesn’t feel like its trying to hard to be quirky. Although, it is. Family friendly and has a bar. Two thumbs up from this local foodie.

Spicy Pork taco, Flavorless, Spicy Chicken taco Flavorless, crispy beef taco, about what you would expect for a crunchy beef taco… Tamatillo no flavor –weak… Jalapeño Ranch — if you like drowning your food in ranch so it gets it flavor, then I suppose this might be up your alley. Otherwise I would skip it all together. I’ve have several times eaten the breakfast Taco’s here and again nothing to get excited about. I keep coming back because my brother likes it here.

Solid breakfast taco options for a fast casual chain. 3 tacos is more than enough for a filling breakfast. My choices: 1 bean and cheese — too much bean filling, could go heavier on the cheese. Very tasty though 1 migas — no complaints, added a mix to the Roja and tomatilla salsa. 1 chorizo, egg and cheese — also too much filling. I ate a little from inside the taco before doing this gem. Also added a mix of the red and green salsa. Tomatillo salsa was a bit sweet for my taste, but cutting it with the roja was a great combo. I’m keen to go back for lunch or dinner now.

I have been here several times and tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Food has never been good. Tacos are bland and usually come out cold. $ 8 for two tacos with two small pieces of cold chicken in each with tomatoes and lettuce is pretty steep.

Not sure how this place is getting 4 stars. The tacos are very basic and mediocre on their best day. Tacos are overpriced for what you get. There are much better tacos in the area.

The food was fresh and the service was good. I thought it was a tad bit pricey for Texas though. I’d go back.

Stopped by after visiting one of the neighboring retailers and seeing the great reviews on Unilocal. The place is huge and they were probably 40% full when I walked in. I ordered the Migas tacos and got it to go. They offer 3 different kind of salsas: jalapeño ranch, red salsa, and a tamatillo salsa. The ranch was probably the better one of the 3 as the other 2 just didn’t cut it for me. Anyways on to the food. The tacos were basic size and typical. They were smaller than the ones you get at Torchy’s so long as the A team is working there. The flavor was about average and the freshness appeared to be about average as well. Overall, I was good with the tacos and may return if I am in the area again but won’t drive more than a few minutes out of the way to dine there.

Food: everything I’ve had at this establishment has been scrumptious. Y’all are doing tacos right. The atmosphere is laid back and fun. The bartender, John G is one of those above and beyond gents. He makes your experience fun while offering spectacular service. There are many taco huts out there but this one is THEONE.

Ok I just got out of a biz mtg nearby and had dinner here because it said Tacos on their sign. Its a very casual dining place. Its huge with a small divider between the larger area that is for dining &a small bar behind the divider which has a couple of TVs. No waitstaff. You place your order at the cashier then find your own place to eat. Are open for breakfast, lunch, dinner. Had their Wed special which was Sour cream chicken enchiladas. They were very good. Everything is served in disposable tin pans like a takeout pan and plastic utensils. Food was good. My bill was approx $ 10 w fountain drink. Looking at the menu this is ave billing per person. I will come again.

I have now been here several times and still don’t get it. My friends rave about and my husband likes it but every time I am underwhelmed. The restaurant is large and every time I have been here it has been empty. You can either sit in the bar and order through the bartender or order at the counter. The food does come out relatively fast and service has always been decent. I have tried the queso, quesadillas, fajita steak and brisket tacos. Everything has been sort of bland and just underwhelming. I also think they are a little expensive for what they are not. there are only a handful of unique tacos and none of the really appeal to me so I go with more traditional. However I have had better fajita steak and brisket tacos several other places. I also don’t like that the printed menus don’t have the details of what is on all the tacos. The brisket toppings come on the side, but not the other tacos.

They put crack in the tacos! That’s the only explanation I can come up with. Because these are the best damn tacos I’ve ever had. Seriously. ALL of them! We had the Chuck(bbq pulled pork), Spicy Fried Chicken, Beef Fajita, and Grilled Fish. And EVERYONE was exceptional! Plus«The Disaster»(chips and queso) were fantastic. Oh, and we met the manager — he’s awesome. And the staff was friendly. And the place had a cool vibe. And the prices were reasonable. I can’t find anything to fault them for. Bravo Taco Joint! My new fave!!!

I stumbled across this place via Unilocal while looking for a place to eat breakfast. I’ve lived in the area all my life, but I guess this place was just hidden amongst all the other places around here. Since I live in Austin, these tacos don’t really live up to the hype. I mean, it’s not bad, but it’s just alright. The tortillas are a bit dry and for the price, it’s not very filling. It starts at like ~$ 2.50 for the standard bean and cheese taco. I got the migas taco, which was not bad, but I think it was kinda pricey for what they give you. The portions are pretty small, so you probably want at least 2 or 3 to be filled up. I do love the salsa bar and the different sauces they offer. I tried all three — tomatillo, jalapeño ranch, and the salsa roja, and they all are really good! I would return to try their expanded menu with the sauces :) Overall, like the place to come try it again when I’m home. Lots of seating, and the music selection is very upbeat. Oh and I think they have free WiFi for customers, but not sure.

We tried the Taco Joint for the first time. We were in the area for a business meeting and it was very conveniently located. They have a 2 Taco combo that comes with 2 tacos of your choice, a drink and a Styrofoam bowl that has seasoned rice spooned into one side and refried beans spooned into the other side. I liked the rice and that you can pick and choose which 2 tacos that you want in your combo. It’s $ 8.69 each. I was disappointed but not surprised that they don’t have sweet tea. We tried the grilled fish taco, the brisket Taco and the Chuck. The grilled fish and the Chuck were delicious. I deleted stars for the tea situation and their brisket tacos. They weren’t seasoned or tender as they should have been. I would go back for sure. The grilled fish taco really is excellent!

This was the second time I have been to Taco Joint, which is conveniently located in an up-and-coming Richardson strip mall — off Belt Line and 75. We were meeting a group from church and we snagged a space in the back of the restaurant where it is more secluded. They offer a special each night of the week, which is a cool feature and a great way to try more of the menu. Tonight, I decided to try the crispy chicken tacos. The combo came with two tacos, rice and beans(double rice for me) and a soft drink. I loved the tacos and one filled me up. So, tomorrow I can eat the rest for lunch. My hubby ordered cheese enchiladas with ranchero sauce and loved them. He also had a crispy taco with ground beef. Our group ordered queso for everyone and it was quite a hit. I can see why this is such a popular place. Great service, quick food prep and great food. We will be back!

I love Taco Joint. All the locations. But this one is my fave because it’s in my hood. Love the breakfast – I either get bacon, egg, and cheese tacos or the Big Tex to share(or when I’m extra hungry). For lunch and dinner, I’m pretty predictable… brisket tacos!!! With loads of jalapeño ranch. Heaven. Although… I recently tried the fried chicken taco with habanero ranch and I may be ordering that one soon as it was also delicious.(NOTE: you can buy jalapeño ranch to take home! Probably all the sauces. But I buy it all the time for parties and pretend I made it, ha!) Plus, everyone is super nice, the atmosphere is great for small or large groups, and the bartender on my last visit, Nate, even offered to give me a jump when my battery died in the parking lot. Talk about customer service! Taco Joint, I love you.

Had breakfast tacos one morning with my sons all were very good and fresh. All the sauces were fresh and delicious. Lots of menu options as well as food challenges. Décor is local murals very well done. Love the ambiance and lighting is very nice. Bar area was clean, cool and inviting with happy hour specials. Look forward to an evening visit and try it again!

Big. Fat. Burritos! They have other food items on the menu. But I tend to stick with the Great Gordo(with bacon!) Perfect hangover cure. The Salsa Bar is an added bonus(Jalapeño ranch! yum). And $ 3 mimosas on Saturday and Sunday gets me up and in here before 3pm!(They are definitely courteous with the champagne) This place does the trick!

OK, here’s the news on this newborn baby gem in Richardson! the food! I got the taco combo: spicy fried chicken and grilled fish. It is good! Usually, I add ranch or salsa on my taco cause it makes it taste better but here, You don’t need any ranch or sauce because it tastes amazing without it!(you can if you still like it but I find it amazing just the way it is) the spicy frieze chicken was great! It was came close to how my grandma made hers and wow, it’s pretty big for a chicken taco. The grilled fish was my favorite! The fish was big, filling and nicely cooked! The salsa… and rice… were mediocre. I like my Salsa spicy but this was like one of those generic brands you get in a jar. I would prefer it hot hot hot! The rice could use a few more improvement but it complimented the beans well. The beans were delicious! And I’m not a fan of beans! the atmosphere was awesome. I felt like I can unwind and the art, humor tissue boxes, photo wall made this place unique. Customer Service gets annoying there full star! I will definitely be back!
