Not worth the price. Service was sub-par as was the food. We tried the place twice, disappointed both times.

We went on a Sunday after the line at the fish shack was too long. When we pulled up, there was only one cat in the parking lot. We seated ourselves. This place has more of a bar vibe than a restaurant. We were quickly greeted by our server who was friendly. The menu has a lot of options. I ordered the Crab Louis Salad. It was good, and fresh. The crab meat was seasoned well. My only complaint was that there was some water on the bottom… at least I know they washed the lettuce. They have a covered patio which may be nice to sit on during the fall. The prices are pretty reasonable. I would be willing to try this spot again, but kind of wonder why it was so dead at dinner time.

First trip here. It was ok. Better than the other food option in this strip center. I had the shrimp po boy. It was good yet the shrimp needed to be seasoned and dried before battered. Yet I know they don’t do any of that onsite. They pour it out of the bag into the fried, not your fault I’ll address my concern to Sysco. I will return to try something different and have a Revolver Blood & Honey on tap.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience here. Very chill place to come if you’re hungry and want a bite. Experience: My friends and I(about a group of 10) were stragglers and needed a place to eat at around 11:30ish. Unilocaling a few places in the area we came across Shuck N’ Jive, kitchen closed at 1 and they close at 2, so we took the chance. walking in there was a Cajun vibe, it is a huge space, great place for plus sized parties. There is a bar area in the back, and there are a bunch of TV’s around. we decided to sit outside in their patio since there was a nice patio space and the weather was nice and out side was the only place that fit our large group. Overall, great place for a late night meal, Slightly expensive(as expected, it’s seafood.) Food: I ordered the Oyster po’boy with a side of jambalaya. I asked the waitress what she would do and she suggested ^ that order. I also tried their fries and some of a burger. I really enjoyed the oyster po boy, the sauce on it was pretty bomb and the seasoning(on the table) you can add to the po boy made it pretty good. However the po boy is a little messy and it will probably fall apart(coming from a person who eats sandwhiches, burgers, etc. very cleanly). The jumbalaya on the side was OK, not as good as I expected, a little cold. I probably wouldn’t recommend getting it as a entrée. The fries are surprisingly really good, extremely crispy and the great seasoning on top. The burger comes a little wet(because of the oil and sauce) and the meat is medium done, it was a little dry to me, but overall OK. Service: The waitress was really nice to us, but you can defineitly tell that she did not want to be there. It was late, and we were a huge party, understandable. I read reviews on the service of this place; so I was expecting worse. However, they are understaffed. we had to wait for our table to be cleaned off and we had to ask the bartender where and who our waitress was. She was the only waitress working that night, so it was hard to get her attention. But she did come to check on us often and was really nice to us. The food took a while to come out(30 – 45 mins) but there was only one person working. Overall, great time here with friends on a late Friday night! I would totally recommend, just make sure you bring great friends!

Its a cool spot for late night eats. However, the food was salty as fuck. Id die if i was a slug. I barley added extra seasoning and sheesh, it was hard to eat! The saltyness was good with beer though. Should be suck and jive.

Decent food, fair and great HH drink prices. It’s been awhile since the last time I’ve been at this location. We were craving for oysters and this place came to mind right away. We weren’t disappointed by the size of their oyster($ 15.99÷12), it was huge! Would definitely comeback when crawfish season is at its peak season.

Had a large party on the patio today. The service was very slow. Ordered the crab artichoke dip and were hard pressed to find any crab. It was also cold. The restaurant was empty and the server couldn’t seem to keep our drinks filled, but She was very nice. Then someone that we assumed was bartender came out to bring drinks. She was very dismissive and rude. My friend ordered another beer and she asked bottle or draft when he clearly had a a pint glass and no bottle in front of him. He asked what was the difference in price. She stated that one was in a bottle and one was in a glass and the. Walked off in a huff The next time she came out we asked if we had done something wrong To upset her. Her reply was that she didn’t care what beer we ordered and didn’t appreciate the questions we asked about the difference between bottle and draft. It all went downhill after that. She was so mean that we dare not order food. She was very rude again and asked if we wanted the owner’s number and we could discuss her attitude with him. She became very combative and again said She didn’t care what we ordered. We did make nice with the waitress who was originally serving us, but we were hesitant to order food.(Don’t make the people who handle your food angry) We had been visiting this location about once a week and spending quite a bit of money. Never again. Half of us work in food service and would never treat a customer in this manner. We will not be back.

We were craving fish fry, so Last Friday evening we went to Fish shack but the line was out the door. We opt to give shuck n jive a try since we always pass it on PGBT. Big Mistakes! This has to be one of the worst restaurant food I have experienced! I would give it one star if it wasn’t for the kind waitress. I saw the bad reviews but thought some ppl may just be picky and I should give it a try myself. My husband’s beer was flat and my margarita was one of the nastiest I have every had! It tasted like tequila was added to a glass of ice and water. My husband tried their gumbo, not special and def not worth $ 11! I had their cajun shrimp pasta, which was decent, hence the other star. I got my kids the fried catfish. There was only one filet, so it its not worth $ 11! Especially when the thicker part of the fish was still raw(see pictures). My family and I will def not be coming back! !

Awesome place. This place has great food for the price. I always recommend this place to anyone. Stop buy to grab a drink and eat after work or pick up food for co workers at lunch. One of my favoriate places of all times. The red beans and rice are to die for. Also has homemade ranch which is a plus.

After a failed first attempt at this place we decided to come back and check out their crawfish fest to see if they could redeem themselves. Let me say the crawfish were excellent! They had some good live music going and some huge crawfish ready to be eaten and that we did! Steamed and seasoned right all around great mudbugs! Cold beers were the perfect compliment! We had a good seat on the patio with view of the stage and were here thru 3 of the 4 acts. Now service on the other hand needs improvement as they were understaffed for this event. There was a few looooong waits in between orders and also to cash out our tab! Overall because of the wait more of a 3 star but a few more servers and problem would be solved! Oh well the crawfish were great and we left beyond full! If they keep serving these big boys we will come back and it’s close to our house which makes it more attractive.

Went to this place last Friday because the gf and I were craving crawfish but there wasn’t a single place without an hour wait or that even had anymore in stock. After thinking long and hard I realized I pass this location all the time and it never looks very busy. Sure enough we call and there was no wait and they still had crawfish. Done! The place was at about half capacity and was decently clean and nice. We ordered a ½ dozen oysters to start and I found them to be delicious. Next we got down on a few pounds of crawfish with potatoes and corn. The crawfish were good. Seasoned just about right. My only knock against them is that they were a little on the small side compared to some other places I have been(Nate’s). I will definitely keep them in mind next time I get the craving.

Pricey food, but it is nice to have a Cajun place near by that doesn’t only have fried food. Their blackened fish is definitely a tamer version of real Louisiana blackened spices, but it has good flavor. I would recommend all of their appetizers!!! Especially the stuffed mushrooms. Make sure if you are there you get a beer. Decently priced and always super cold. I love it! Best Cajun place around, but still not like home.

The service was horrible. We went in sat down and waited for 5 minutes and no one came to our table. We got up and left. Nobody ever greeted us. There was some type of poker game going on that was more important than taking care of there repeat customers. We live in the area and will never go back!

I like Shuck N Jive but the crawfish are not good. Why do restaurants try to fool you into thinking that their crawfish are good but sprinkling seasoning on the OUTSIDE of the crawfish. That’s not true cajun style at all. I had 2lbs here and the tails had no seasoning and the heads had no juice. They seemed more steamed than boiled. The other food and everything is good but crawfish… no way.

The food here was amazing! I had the appetizer sampler and the fried shrimp basket. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. The waitress was very nice and we got our food pretty quickly. The atmosphere is very relaxed and overall a great place for Cajun /seafood.
