Thai tea had too much Ice :(. The green curry was loaded with bamboo shoots :). The service is lightning quick and the waiters were courteous.

*CLOSED* MAJORBUMMER! We were regulars there, and NEVER imagined they were about to close! They definitely had the BESTPADTHAI my group has EVER had. Wish we would have know what happened. Now we’re in search of a Pad Thai that can replace theirs. Any suggestions from old«Best Thai» customers?

It might have been better if my mind wasn’t altered in a hazy hang-over state. After successfully throwing a 60th birthday party for my parents — it was time to relax. Oh — did I mention that the birthday party was an open bar of wine flowing like the white rapids. Needless to say, I needed greasy Thai food. Always one to go the Pad Thai route, I have promised myself to at least try to stay healthy this year(or for at least the first month!). I went with the Tom Yum Soup with noodles. I was saddened when I came to the terrible realization that my soup was without yummy and substantial noodles. Like I said before, this probably wouldn’t have bothered me as much if I wasn’t having hangover hankerings. Womp. Womp. I took a nibble of my sister’s Pad Thai. It was probably the best thing we ordered. The noodles had the perfect al dente texture, while the sauce was the perfect ratio of peanut sauce to the spicy siracha flavor. The spring rolls were a delight as well — packed tight with all the right ingredients, just wish the peanut sauce had that extra ‘umph’ to it. That’s the whole point of the sauce, right?! I will definitely order from Best Thai again and certainly stick to the noodle dishes when I feel like cheating on my so-called diet.

I found my new favorite Thai restaurant! We ordered delivery and had the Pad Thai and Thai Fried Rice. Both dishes were VERY good! The spice was spot on, it tasted very fresh, and the delivery time was decent. We will definitely order from Best Thai again.

I am wondering if this is the same place as the Best Thai in Addison. One review says it is, but after doing a Google search their main website does not list a Richardson location. Hmmm… anyway… We had a gift certificate to use so we had to order a lot of food to meet the quota. The boyfriend and I started off with the Thai egg rolls and edamame. I LOVED the egg rolls — they came out stupid hot, but that sure beats cold food. He also had an order of the shumai pot stickers which he said were good. Then he ordered a cup of tom yum soup — he REALLY liked this one even though he said it was spicy — and he’s not a huge fan of spice like I am. It smelled heavenly! I had the pineapple fried rice as my main course and he went with the basil tilapia. My meal was a bit bland, but after sprinkling some soy sauce over it, it was pretty good. I had a bit of the fish he ordered which was also good. He really enjoyed his choice too. A solid three stars for now — this could change once I try Thai Soon :)

Ordering take out yet again. I just can’t get enough of Best Thai’s menu. Both dining in and takeout. Pad Woonsen is my Favorite.

I really wished i had tried this place first before i had Thai Soon. My review would be completely different from what it’s about to be. Best Thai offers pretty good thai food, but the experience i had was like going from a Ribeye to a Sirloin steak. Both are good, but obviously one’s better than the other. Best Thai offers the standard thai cuisine, noodles, curry, soup, and unique desserts. The thing that got me was that i was expecting bigger portions. I had recently gone to Thai Soon and i was overwhelmed with their portions and taste. Best Thai has the same taste, but didn’t delivery as much quantity as it’s competitor. What Best Thai does do better than Thai Soon is the environment. Thai Soon looks like a hole in a wall, and actually when i went there, i got a wobbly table. Best thai looks elegant inside and provides a very clean feeling when you walk inside. Unfortunately, I’m able to ignore a wobbly table for great food, which means i still prefer Thai Soon over Best Thai. Don’t get me wrong though, Best Thai can still hold it’s own.

Best Thai — a generic name like that is usually a red flag for mediocre food so I’ve avoided this place until last week when my co-worker raved about it. The other interesting thing about Best Thai is there are many Chinese-influenced dishes on the menu. We went for their $ 6.99 lunch special which includes a cup of soup and a small egg roll. The soup was a clear broth with a few cubes of tofu and surprisingly good for what it was as was the crispy egg roll. I ordered the Pad Kee Mow with beef entrée with level 2 spiciness, which was just enough that I could feel it but not enough to make me break a sweat. I might go for level 3 next time. Overall, the dish had nice flavors but I’ve had more tender and flavorful beef at other places. On my second visit, I tried the duck noodle soup but substituted egg noodles. I was expecting Chinese roast duck, but it had more of a fried-chicken flavor. I didn’t like this dish as much as the Pad Kee Mow and I wouldn’t order it again. Inside, the restaurant was clean and contemporary. The service was quick, but there place was only 15% full both times I went.

We decided to try out Best Thai for the first time on a certificate. The food was very good. I tried the Tom Yum Soup(quite spicy) and my husband had the Won Ton Soup. Both were good(but my lips were burning — in a good way — by the time the meal came out). We also ordered the Crab Rolls. He liked them. I didn’t — seemed to mayonnaise-y for me. For dinner I had the Pad Kee Mow and he had the Garlic Chicken. Flavors were really good. Portions were good. After the appetizers we certainly left feeling satisfied and even a little full. The service was excellent. They were on top of it refilling drinks every time we needed it. It was not a busy night(we went on a Thursday) so we felt very taken care of. My husband was also very pleased that they took him seriously when he said he wanted it spicy! We’ll go back to Best Thai again!

BESTTHAI lives up to it’s name! We spent a good part of Sunday morning trying to decide where to go for dinner. My kids did not want to agree on anything, and dad and I neither one wanted to cook. We hit and found Best Thai, and all was right with the world. Well, we told the kids they would go, and not complain. The first part was happened, and then the food came and they were too busy stuffing their faces to be teenagers after that. Yes this food was THAT good! It had my boys saying«This is good, do you want to try it?» to each other. I had the Tom Yum Noodle Soup spiced to 3 and had the pepper sauce brought to the table to add more if needed. I did finally add some, after some of the broth was gone. This soup has rice noodles, tomatoes, mushrooms, lemon grass, cilantro, chili, and lime juice. The combination dances on the pallet. It was a culinary experience I wanted to continue with once it was gone. We had an order of Thai Egg Rolls for the table to share. They were wonderful. We each sampled bites off each others plates and were not disappointing with any of the dishes, The other meals that were ordered were Kid’s Teriyaki Chicken, Kid’s Crispy Chicken with steamed rice(these were very nice portions) Jungle Noodles, which was egg, onion, tomato, bell pepper, jalapeño in a sriaracha sauce with chicken and very spicy(4 out of 5), and Singapore Noodles, which were also wonderful. they had egg, onion, bean sprout, carrot, and curry. The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly. We were the only customers there, the whole time we were there. It saddened me to see this. I hope you all will try them, like them, and tell your friends, so this place will have a fair shot.

We were trying to decide where to have a nice Sunday family meal when we realized we had never taken the kids to a Thai restaurant. We found a coupon on and headed to Best Thai in Richardson. We really had a great family dinner! First, the place itself was immaculate-very clean and organized and very inviting. Second, the service was exceptional. It helped, I’m sure, that we were the only people there for the majority of our meal. That being said, they were still very helpful friendly-taking time to explain to the kids the different kind of foods. The kids already really liked the place before a single food item had been sampled. The food, to my delight, lived up to the expectations. The youngest got the crispy chicken from the kids menu and it was fantastic. The wife had the Tom Yum noodle soup and all the flavors(mushroom, lemongrass, lime, tomato) worked perfectly together. I ordered the jungle noodles(egg, onion, tomato, bell pepper, jalapeño in a sriaracha sauce) with chicken and asked for very spicy(4 out of 5). It was wonderful-but I would probably ask for the hottest they have next time. We also tried the Singapore noodles and the Teriyaki Chicken-both were also big hits. The portions-even on the kids menu– were very generous, and with the average price being about 8 dollars, quite a bargain. The only problem with the meal was explaining to the kids why I had never taken them out for Thai before!

Whoops! I posted this review under Best Thai Richardson instead of here: For the people who read my reviews, you guys know I am always looking for a good and authentic Thai place. Best Thai Richardson is honestly the BEST I’ve tasted so far. They have a great lunch menu where you have a large variety of entrees to choose from, soup of the day and a fried ice cream ball for $ 6.99. WHAT?! To top that their pad see iew beef was PERFECT in flavor, noodle texture, spice and of course the price. I ordered from their authentic Thai menu which isn’t passed out but you can definitely ask for it and got their suki yaki stir fry with tofu and veggies($ 7.99, not a lunch special). I asked for their spiciest and they gave it to me good; by the time I got our check I was close to tears and constantly dabbing my dripping nose. The suki yaki taste was as good as my momma and that’s saying a lot. The décor is not too fancy but there’s definitely a simple oriental feel to the place. It’s the smell from the kitchen alone that brings me here and that’s no short drive from downtown to Richardson but it’s worth every mile. Best Thai you can consider me a regular!

The family went here tonight for a late Father’s Day dinner. I visited their website and found that they’re the same people as the Best Thais in Addison, Plano, and other locations. Didn’t know there were so many. It hasn’t been open long at all. Their outside décor needs some work, but inside is pretty nice. One large flat screen in the corner for the TV watchers. The owner also managed the now defunct Noodle Ave that was near Coit and Campbell. His children(I’m assuming) serve as the wait staff, and they were helpful and nice. Their menu is a little scrawny. Could probably stand to add some more dishes. But they do have all the staple Thai entrees. They also have a separate«Joe’s Menu,» however, most of the dishes on there were unavailable. We ordered a number of dishes: pad thai, pad see ew, basil fried rice, gai grapow, red curry, seafood in chili sauce, and a beef dish. He also brought us some complimentary regular brothy soup. All very good tasting with good portions at decent prices. I enjoyed eating it all. Except maybe for the seafood dish. Not a big fan of seafood anyway. Definitely reminds me of the Addison Best Thai that I enjoy so much. My momma even agreed that she liked it too. The total for all that was around $ 65. I hope this place picks up business. It’d be great to have one closer to home. I’d go again and check out their lunch menu.

Once upon a time, 300 Terrace Drive in Richardson TX, was home to a small restaurant serving Vietnamese Phở to people all over Dallas and beyond. It is sad but their fate was sealed to end in doom, but their doom meant boon for a new restaurant with the name of Best Thai for the best of us. Ok I will stop being goofy. I am told the food here is cooked by Real Thai people and none others. To be honest, I have not had good thai food since I moved in town, but after visiting this place I can say that their chefs really know how to make great tasting Thai food. We ordered soup, whole fish, appetizers, and 2 types of noodle dishes including pad thai. The soup was to die for. The curry sticks were a bit too strong with the curry flavor, but some may like it like that. The fish was great — sweet and spicy, and so were the noodle dishes. The beef was extremely tender and juicy. Given that they have only been in business for a week or so, it will be interesting to see if they can keep up their quality. If they are able to, Best Thai has the potential to become one of the top Thai spots in town.
