I am so extremely happy to have found this family owned jeweler in a shopping center next to the Giant grocery store. This is my go-​to store for especially baby gifts. I got the cutest duck merry go round music carousel that the couple I bought it for told me it was their baby’s fav gift. He has beautiful reasonably priced jewelry and wrapping is gratis. Larry offers to check the prong settings on my diamond rings every time in there and has caught loose settings in more than one occasion saving me from losing my 1 carat diamonds! He is excellent in jewelry repair and I get my items back quickly. 5 star business

I inherited several watches, swatches, and fine jewelry recently. All needed attention — new batteries, cleaning, appraisals, presentation boxes, etc. Burke is close to my home so I dropped in there and have been pleased with the services. The ladies are friendly and the owner definitely knows his stuff!

Do not bring your expensive watch in there!
Yesterday, I brought my luxury watch into the store to replace the battery. Sounds easy, right? Well, not the case here. The lady grabbed the watch and said she will do that. At the beginning she couldn’t even open it. It is probably really «difficult» to unscrew the four little screwers, but well… After she finely opened it, she could not replace the battery. I will just say it took her about 15 minutes to get out the old one. She put the new one and than it took her another 15 – 20 minutes to figure out how the stripe should be placed. Not sure if she did it correctly or at all, but the watch doesn’t work. The watch’s price is $ 3000.
She told me the problem is probably with the watch or maybe her battery is too weak; and she doesn’t want to check it because it takes too much time and they need to close at 7pm (it was 7pm already, she started to «work» with it at 6:20 pm).
There is no problem with the watch! It was fine before she put her hands on it.
She and another attendant (maybe the store owner) were so desperate to close the store and to get me out of there without making the job…
If you don’t know how to replace the battery, do not start working on someone else’s belongings. Especially, do not stand there and lie into the face while pushing your business partner under the table to keep her quiet, after you messed it up.
Unbelievably unprofessional service!
I will go tomorrow to another watch maker. I truly hope, she did not ruin it completely.

I stopped by the store and to determine my ring size. The attendant, probably the store owner, was kind enough to spend a few minutes doing so — knowing full well in advance that I was not going to buy any jewelery at their store. I thought that was a kind gesture and deserved a mention on Unilocal
