I had a laptop to printer. Communication error. Had spent two days with online it chat help w brother and acer. Got really nowhere. Answers to acer spent an hour. No fixed. Tried to upsell me their yearly plan. 159. So I decided to go to a local repair shop and deal in person. Went to RC. Michael and Patrick were friendly direct and helpful. The owner Sam K. Was great at pickup. Took two days. They found some malware blocking ports. Duplicate printer software installed. Sam asked me to test print before I left. Everything worked. Great. The bill was half as much as they quoted. $ 49 vs 99 or 159 on it online help. Glad to help a small business. Will pass my testimony to my Renton chamber members and insurance agent friends too. They do remote access and offer computer maintenance plans at affordable rates. Thank you RC and Sam K.

Just the facts. I took my computer in because I dropped it on the charging cable and the charging port was broken. They charged me $ 45 to diagnose the issue, and explained that I needed a new charging port. They quoted $ 20 for the part and $ 200 for labor. They also told me it wouldn’t be done for a week. I wasn’t happy with this, so I picked up my computer. I opened the back on the laptop, and noticed that the piece that was broken was an extremely simple fix, as in, you unplug the broken piece, and plug in the new piece. It was a fifteen minute fix, and I am by no means an expert, nor did I have the right tools. My opinion: They were going to charge me $ 200 to plug something in. That’s like paying someone to come over and plug your vacuum in for you. Absolutely ridiculous, and almost criminal that they would charge so much.

I initially took my new, still under warranty DELL computer to Best Buy, they wanted $ 150 to back-up data.(thanks, but NO thank-you) I went to Renton Computer, they fixed it super fast. Super friendly, fast service, and very reasonable. Very highly recommend Renton Computer if you have a computer in need of repair — TOPNOTCH! If there were a rating higher than 5, I would rate it higher. Don’t waste time and $$$$ running here and there. Take it to RENTONCOMPUTER! Jz

This place took 50 dollars from me and did nothing for my computer. They just told me things I already knew were wrong with it. They didn’t know how to fix it… Why do people go to computer repair shops again? Oh yeah to get the computer FIXED. All this took 3 days BTW.

It’s been a while since I have dealt with this shop. I had a computer hanging up. Their evaluation was that there was a virus on every port(???) and they wanted(too much) to remove it, to clean it all up. And then insisted that I needed the AV from the company which is in Moscow. I took the machine to another shop in Renton which unfortunately is now out of business(couldn’t establish enough visibility); that guy fixed the problem and ran a clean for half the cost; it then worked just fine.

A little on the pricey side… But well worth it! My daughter is photographer and needed her laptop repaired quickly(cracked LCD screen). They had to order a new screen and have it sent to them, but it still only took a few day. I am very happy with the service… Thank you!

I had a Dell D620 laptop which was infected with a trojan virus. I called Tom at Renton Computers and he told me to bring it on it. I paid $ 40 + tax for the initial diagnostic — received a follow up call and was given a quote over the phone to repair the damages to my system files, as well as install the latest paid anti-virus software. I was very pleased upon picking my laptop up that everything was covered by the initial estimate. For less than the price of a new computer, mine is working perfectly again. I also appreciated that they cleaned my equipment for me — thanks guys, I will be back when I have computer needs in the future!
