The best eggs Benedict I’ve EVER had seriously the food here is to die for. However the servers seem to be a bit grumpy at first and then they warm up.

The great food and excellent drinks used to take up for the slack in wait staff numbers. Last time I was there food was lame, and they couldn’t get the right drink to the table. I won’t be going back.

I really wanted to like this place but their customer service was pretty bad. Our server came by very sporadically and when she did come by she would run away before everyone had a chance to order a drink or a refill. The servers were swearing at the wait stations where guests could hear. I know this is a bar/pub scene, but it was definitely over the top. We asked questions about the menu and the waitress couldn’t answer any of them with certainty. She didn’t have a lot of confidence with the menu apparently. Half our tables food came and then 30 minutes later the rest of our food came. Just bad service to do that. I ended up leaving my keys at the restaurant on accident and had to call to find out if they found them. The bartender was the one who answered and said that he couldn’t look because he had too many drinks to make and dishes to do and never called back. Seriously? It’s like they want to have a bad reputation. Their food was good, but definitely not a good party location.

I like the food but we have not been greeted like they want us there always sit and wait at least 10min before we are even acknowledged but we keep going back hoping it would be different we are blk and it’s obvious they don’t really want us there today topped it of waited 45 min for salad and potato skins not busy waitress didn’t make us feel welcome at all never checked or told us why we were waiting 45 min for food besides that so she didn’t have to come to the table she left a pitcher of pop at our table. Don’t want to give no star system is making me

Great little sports bar. TV’s everywhere, open layout, good fun vibe when you walk in, and family friendly area above the bar area. My wife and I love going here because the salads, sandwiches and burgers are always good. Food runs $ 10 – 15 range but the portions are huge! The Martha’s chicken sandwich says two chicken strips but they are large patties. The portion size goes the same for salads, giant plates and lots of toppings. We like to try different things on the menu each time but it’s hard to go away from our favorites. This past fall they had a Saturday promotion when you ordered a pitcher of Coors Light you received two free UW bar glasses. Let’s just say we have ten new bar glasses for the man cave. Overall, great bar food and highly recommended if you are in the area.

Doofers makes a hell of a burger. Huge patty, generously baconed, great sides. Having said that the tomato slices were very unripe both visits. As for the service I’m pleasantly impressed. I asked for the potato salad as my side, the server warned me it was extra mayo’d today, so I passed and went for the slaw.

Great food, and if you don’t like to wait for your food, call for a take away order and it will be ready for pick up in about 15 min. I like the halibut fish and chips, and the burgers are fantastic. Large portions are worth the extra $.

It’s a good sports bar. A little spendy, most of the staff is friendly. The girls are really good and friendly. Brie is the best! The food, it’s good when they aren’t busy. Most dishes are over cooked so order accordingly. Like steak, medium will be medium well or well. Take your salt shaker too, everything is peppered alot but no salt. The chicken is good, but again often over cooked and has a burnt taste. Over all the owners run a clean, nice place. I like it.

Food is amazingly delicious. Had family dinner here tonight for the first time and all 5 of us ordered different things and all 5 of us loved our food. Biggest show stopper was the spicy fried chicken burger(first item on the burger list). Not only was it packed with flavor but it was huge. Service was pretty good although we had to ask the bartender about the beer selection. The food once ordered, did take a while so plan ahead knowing you’ll be waiting a while for food but it’s well worth the wait.

Fried chicken here is worth the wait, 25−30minutes. Basically everything is good on the menu. Steak and eggs for 12 bucks, deals. Rib eyes on Fridays, bomb. Have to get there early before they sell out, literally. If you get there later than 6 you probably won’t get a steak. If you love burgers and are hungry, have to get the doofers burger. Bigger than most people’s faces. They have some decent couple of pool tables and darts also. A lot of tvs too for the Hawks game, it gets packed.

What can I say about a place like Doofer’s. It’s a local pub that’s right down the street from my son and daughter-in-law. They make really good burgers(which I’ve had on other visits) and typical pub foods. Taco plates, etc. and it’s a pub, so beers«rule.» This visit, however, I ordered a gin and tonic in a short glass. It came it a very big soda glass. I sent it back… big mistake! All they did was throw half of it out and pour it in a short glass. Then we ordered their special of the day. Steak Ranchero medium rare. All 3 of us got medium well. Chose not to send it back have to admit that the steak itself was really very tender even if over cooked for our taste. Unfortunately it was way to spicy for my taste(my son enjoyed his) this was just a personal preference If you like spicy then this was very good So next time I’ll stick to burgers and cokes

I like this bar and grill for their good food. That is everything except the broasted chicken. I know other people on this site have said they loved the chicken and that is fine. But my bad experience twice is the reason for this current review. I have had the chicken strips and the chicken sandwiches and lots of the other items on their menus. It has always been really good. Yes, the service most of the time is very slow but my review is only about the chicken. Last month I ordered the 12 piece broasted chicken TOGO and we were taking it with us on the road for a camping trip. When we got to our site and took out the chicken we noticed that the skin was very dark and black in spots. We decided to just take the skin off and eat the chicken. However, it turned out the chicken was very dry from being over cooked. Thus the blackened skin. It was inedible and we ended up throwing out all 12 pieces plus the JoJo’s which were also very dark skinned. when we got home I sent a comment to the store letting them know how disappointed I was in the chicken. I got a very nice email back from the owner saying how sorry he was and he would leave a gift certificate for me to get a new batch of chicken for free. Yesterday I ordered the free chicken and was again extremely disappointed and ended up throwing it out again. I am including pictures to show how very dark and in some spots black the chicken was and again how very dry. I would have thought that knowing I got a really bad batch of chicken the first time that they would not botch this new batch. I have learned my lesson and will never order the chicken again. I will continue to go to this restaurant because the other things are good. UPDATED April 52016 Gave the place another shot. The place was busy with only 2 – 3 wait staff that I could see. We waited 15 minutes for anyone to take our order. This time ordered chicken sandwich with onion rings(for and additional $ 1). When our food came out we had not napkins or silverware. She set our food down and walked away not even giving us time to ask for those things. After waiting another 7 minutes for her to come back I got up and got my own at the service station which was covered with dirty dishes. The burger was good but the rings were burned. Burned and cold? How does that happen? After waiting another 10 minutes for the server, who never came back, I flagged her down and asked for some new rings since mine were cold and burned. I waited another 10 minutes for new rings and guess what? The were burned. Black. 90 minutes after we sat down we were ready to leave but was not going to pay for burned onion rings. I informed the waitress, again after flagging her down, that I wanted the price of the rings taken off of the bill since they were burned twice and I did not eat them. She said to me that she could take off $ 1.00. What? $ 1 ?? I told her that was not good enough I wanted to pay for the burger and not the onion rings. At all. She again said she would give me the cost of the upgrade, the $ 1.00. No way honey. I asked to speak to a manager. She grabbed our check from the table and screamed«just give me the check, I will pay for your whole meal» and stormed off. No manager onsite this night. They sent over a bartender? Huh? When I told her I did not want to pay for the rings she said«they look dry and burned». Duh. She said it was a misunderstanding and she would remove my rings from the ticket. Seriously this place is so understaffed ALLTHETIME. Poor service, poor customer service.

This place is really cool. Although, I couldn’t give it a better rating due to the slow service. I have only been once, but I will go again, because the food is delicious, they have a nice selection of alcohol and a great staff. I have a feeling that I had slow service because it was Father’s Day. There was two ladies that were handling at least 30 – 40 customers. The food took 25 – 30 mins to come, but it took 45 mins to order. Now, about the food, I would give it 5 stars! Huge portions, cost between $ 10 – 14, for most items. They even have prime rib on Fridays. My friends and I enjoyed the nachos as an appetizer. Those were definitely on point. So all in all, I will definitely be visiting again. Plus the locals were just as friendly!

It may take a while for your food to come out, but that’s only because you need to build up an appetite for what you just ordered. The portions here are HUGE! You’re definitely getting your money’s worth here because the prices don’t reflect what you’re about to get. Call ahead or order fast if you’re getting fried chicken. The wait is about 20 – 30 mins per order, but it’s worth it. Also, get the tots. They’re not the soggy tots you get everywhere else. Doofer’s is the only place I would opt out my fries for tots!

When we first moved to this area we passed this funky place called Doofers. Of course we had to investigate. This is a sports bar in every sense of the word. Two pool tables, darts, and some funky golf and deer shooting games. There is a tv in every corner with espn going 24⁄7. Why I like this bar, it has good solid bar food and some other treats as well. I dig the fish tacos, and the fried chicken is awesome. Pro-tip, of you call and order the chicken ahead of time you won’t have to wait as long. Ask about the chocolate cake too. The bad, is that this place can get packed! Also, there service time is long and drawn out. Be prepared to spend some major time here. They charge for soda refills, and while most of the servers are cool, there is one nasty lady here that will ruin your buzz quick. Not a bad local bar. In a city that seems to be loosing bars at a breakneck pace, doofers is forever.

I would give this place a 4 star based on their bloody marys and their seafood benny. I had a florentine benny here too when they ran out of seafood and it was still pretty good but not the same. My boyfriend seems to always like what he gets as well . This place should get 2 – 3 stars based on their waiting staff. Each time I’ve been here, the waitresses(no waiters…) are constantly confused about their own menu. We always get the«can I see your menu to see what comes with it. so I can know what questions to ask you.» Uh ok? Why don’t you know your own menu? It’s not that large. I hate saying it but they just don’t seem too bright. This place is also good though to watch the seahawks game because they have numerous large screens all over the big restaurant.

Doofers. What a name. The only reason I knew about this place is because it’s in the same complex as Castle Ice Area(now called Sno-King Ice Arena). It’s exhausting ice tackling other players during Broomball so we always head here after to replenish our energy. Honestly, the only reason I haven’t reviewed before is because the only thing I’ve had was the Irish nachos. Potatoes, cheese, sour cream. Standard stuff. The service has been average to ‘let me go into the kitchen and get the stuff ourselves.’ They have seemed perpetually understaffed, or perpetually staffed by folks that hate saying they work at Doofers. This wasn’t the case the other night! We had really great service; warm, attentive and engaged with our group. I’ve been on a bad food track the last few days so I went Broomballs-deep and ordered the 3-piece BROASTEDCHICKEN. It came with jojos the size of canoes and a side of something called, «Chicken Sour Cream.» Before ordering, I asked the waitperson what on earth chicken sour cream was. I had 3 very vivid visions of what she would tell me, but I won’t share here. She said that it was essentially like ranch(maybe chicken bullion in it?) It didn’t matter, as long as it wasn’t something that I would later read on, I F*cking Love Science’s page, I felt okay ordering it. The dark meat chicken was oily; but the huge breast piece was really good. Simply seasoned, light soft breading. I found it comforting and filling. And the chicken sour cream… was just seasoned sour cream. I’m sure I’ll be back next month after the last Broomball game of the season :) I hope we get the same service!
