Good food and beer, service is terrible. We were waiting for about twenty and waitress did not offer us anything only gave us the menu, the place was not even half full. Not coming back!

I went there for a friend’s birthday and we had a pretty good time! GREAT selection on beer, and I was especially enticed by the liquor/beer flight deals! What stood out the most was our waitress-she was very accommodating, and honored our birthday guest with a birthday shot! Can’t beat that ;)

YAYYYY!!! Beer!!! I cannot pronounce 80% of the things on this menu. With that said the assortment of German/Belgian style beers here is fantastic. The food is anything but spectacular its just sausages, wiener schnitzel and general pub food. Basically if you like beer and chill cabin like atmosphere to hang out. This is a great place in renton. Ps. They’re karaōke night is awesome.

Berliner is the go to drinking spot for me and my friends. Friendly waitresses in cute costume, great food, and sooo many different German beers on tap. When you get in you seat yourself anywhere, though it can be hard to find a spot when they are busy. They have small tables in the bar and large community tables in the main/restaurant area. It’s great for big groups or just a drink with your bestie. Food you need to try: Any of the sausages! BRATZEL — with cream cheese and maple syrup :) Beer cheese soup Nutella ice cream?! As for drinks, I like the Berliner drop and the grapefruit schofferhofer. They do have about 20 other beers on tap as well. The huge 11 beer sampler is nice to share with a group if you have no idea what to get. I would recommend Berliner to any and all my friends.

Good selection of beer. Pretty attentive wait staff. Wings are awesome. Ask for their curry ketchup for your fries and burger, über yummy! I enjoy the bench seating for a more homey, intimate feel when yours hanging out with friends and family.

My SO and I came to to Berlin Pub to catch up with a few people he used to volunteer with. Even though it was early in the evening, I was surprised how crowded and lively this place was already. People seemed to have and enjoy a good time here. I’m not a beer drinker but some people in our group really enjoyed the different selection that they carry. The fried pickles were crunchy and tasty. Surprisingly, they were not too briny at all. What I like is their focus on German food(and drinks). Their selection of sausages/wursts and some german items like schnitzel, sauerkraut and red cabbage. There aren’t just so many places in Seattle where you can get many different variation of sausages to order. There are places for live performance as well… this place is a little out of the way for me but I imagine it’s definitely gotta be popular in the summer where you can sit, sip some beer, snack on your finger food an enjoy the live performances.

It’s not like me to dine at a meat lover’s heaven, I’m not too much of a beer drinker either, but my brother asked to «meat»(meet) here for dinner. What impressed me the most was our server. She was hosting, serving, food running and babysitting patrons. All of that with a wonderfully attentive attitude. I wish I knew her name… She was working on the 7th of November and had a brace on her leg/ankle. I might add that the pub was BUSY. Packed to the gills. Granted the place was busier than sears on Black Friday, the service was adequate but the bar was backed up and tables very scares. Understandable for a weekend night. The food was really good. Try the pretzel with beer cheese soup! It’s one hell of a fresh giant pretzel with gourmet mustards. The beer cheese soup side is great for dipping, but so delicious that you’ll with you had a large bowl. The burger my hubby got was so good… I had a bite :) I had he Berliner pour cocktail. It was Devine! Savory sour with a splash of citrus and fruity sweet! And gummy bear garnish! Loved it.

This is probably the closest to Germany you’re going to find in the area. The beer selection is fantastic, ans prices are reasonable-high. The fried pickles are amazing, the pretzels are so good! The food is German-American but doesn’t take away from the cool atmosphere.

re: Lunch First place I ever had a Bratwurst Foot Long. Wife is from Wisconsin and she said this was the first legit Bratwurst she’s had since leaving Wisconsin in 1997. We also had the BBQ Chicken sandwiche, which wasn’t bad, but the Bratwurst was very exciting both before we received it and after we received it. We do not drink much as we eat, but Berliner has a pretty robust selection of alcohol varieties. They even had a few apple ciders I’ve never seen before, mainly because they were foreign. Had a Root Beer Float, and even that was awesome. The only thing that wasn’t so awesome was the TV’s. Would have been nice if they had Direct TV with a lot of different sports games going on. They had American Football, but only played the one’s that were on mainstream media. They also had poker playing, but no sound. This place has a ton of potential with the right sports playing on tv. A DirectTV package would do the trick in my opinion.

Place is absolutely fantastic. The area is not ideal since it kinda looks hidden but the whole deal is wonderful. Inside is very clean and chic. Very well put together. They also have a patio that is enclosed which no think is an awesome idea.

The best thing about the Berliner pub is it authenticity and vibe. There is nothing in this pub that didn’t come from Germany. The beer that you drink are all in kegs bottled in Germany. The Decour German. Very beer hall type. Staff is friendly and fun, order a honey badger shot! You will not give a shit after you drink that! But if you do their bathrooms are clean.

Solid average place. Went there around 6PM no lines no crowd got me scared that I choose this place ;) Friendly staff not too slow just a right amount of time for a pub/bar. Would recommend to try it at least ones.

This is my second or third visit here. My son and daughter-in-law like it a lot. I think it’s ok. Had a really good bratwurst(unfortunately it was a foot long — too much to eat). They make it themselves, on site, along with brockwurst and other German sausages. Warm German potato salad was good, but I’ve had so much better at other restaurants, and I’ve a friend who makes really, really delicious salad… so it’s hard to compete. Big warm pretzel with beer-cheese soup to dip it in is really good Of course, there are many beers to choose from. Lots of TVs. I think last time I was there there was a game on and you couldn’t hear yourself think. It’s a great sports bar.

I am always on the hunt for good German food and a great German beer. They had a really impressive selection of really excellent German beers(I lived in Germany for almost 10 years) and the food was good. But you’re probably asking, «Why only 3 stars, Tim?» Well, let me tell you why… First of all, this is a pretty cool place. I loved the outdoor seating, and enjoyed it despite it being really hot out there. They lost stars because the waitress took over 30 minutes to come to the table. The food was average to good, and prices were reasonable. The food did come quickly and so did the beer. The waitress was actually really nice, but not sure why I was ignored for so long. Let’s call it 3.5 stars.

Be aware that the kitchen closes at 10pm Sunday thru Thursday and until 12am on Friday and Saturday. I had the grapefruit Hefeweizen — delicious, but alcohol content is very low. We shared a pretzel with beer cheese, a smoked cheese sausage, and the mini pork shanks. The sausage did not taste special to me, but the pork shanks were really good and tender. The warm potato salad that came with it was also delicious(as were the beets!). Yum — it was a good dinner. It also came with a very sizable salad. The pretzel was warm, salty, and buttery — can’t ever go wrong with a pretzel.

Great little gem in downtown Renton! Lots of space to sit and good for groups as they have long, picnic-style tables. Great selection of German beers and plenty if tasty brats to munch. I also like the pretzel with spicy mustard. There’s a fireplace inside for when it’s cold and a patio out back for when the sun shows up. It is worth a little detour to Renton if you really love European pubs! Noise level is a little loud, but that’s a bar for ya. Private parking lot across the street makes it easy to get in and out. I took away one star only because service is kinda hit-or-miss and the waitresses are garbed in these tacky, bar wench costumes.

We stopped here for some beers and tried Die Berliner Platte. We were at the real Oktoberfest in Munich last September and it was as good as anything we had there. Plus, they have my favorite Spaten Optimator on tap and even had some Paulaner Oktoberfest beer on tap too. Our waitress was friendly and attentive as well giving us some great suggestions. Their outfits looked authentic too. Our experience was as close to Oktoberfest outside of Germany and that includes all the German restaurants I’ve eaten at throughout Seattle and Leavenworth. The only place that rivals it, in my opinion, is the Rhein Haus on Capital Hill. We’ll be trying the Berliner Pub Happy Hour soon.

First I love the ambiance of the place. We sat around a table with fire pit for center piece. The area had wooden tables and chairs and beer mugs with lots of German decoration. My roommates and I came here on a Sunday and they ordered the 11 beer sample. It was crazy! This staff came out with this wooden beer holder with 11 different beers and a list of all the beers! So they ordered another one! I had their Mac and cheese because I’m not much of a drinker plus cannot drink anyways due to my stomach issues. Their Mac and cheese was really rich– it came out in a small skillet, it was pretty thick and creamy and good. I also ordered german chocolate cake but that one was alright. It was dry, barely any chocolate on there. My other roommate ordered pretzel and let me tell ya, I highly recommend ordering that! So it’s this HUGE pretzel bread with salt sprinkled over, and it comes on this wooden pallet with butter(or cream I have no idea) and syrup. At first I’m like, who eats pretzel with syrup. But then my roommate puts a piece with cream and syrup and its AMAZING! Both salty and sweet, it satisfies both of your sweettooth and your salty needs! I couldn’t stop eating it! I had a little bit of beer and I like their dark beer. Love the nutty taste at the end. They also have this grapefruit beer and it taste like juice!!! I’m only giving it a four star because the staff wasn’t very attentive with us. It wasn’t even busy either and we ran out of water but nobody was willing to fill it. It was hard to get one of them to come over and help us.

German beer? German Food? Gotta be an awesome dinner night. I arrived shortly before the test of my group, so by the time they arrived I was one beer ahead of them and the sausage platter was already ordered lol. Clean place, great service, absolutely delicious food!!! We had a variety of beer, all were enjoyed. For food, we started with the sausage platter for an appetizer… the spicy sausage was awesome. Then I had the pork shank, another had a snitzel plate, a snitzel sandwich was and and the giant pretzel was also ordered. Great fries, warm potato salad was delicious, good gravy on the snitzel and so on and so forth. In the area? Come here, enjoy the food and great beer!
