Came here on a Thursday night. They were short staffed but the server/bartender was very nice about everything. Naturally it took a little longer to get our food but it was worth it. Garlic knots were delicious and they even gave us a free round of drinks because we waited the longest. Glad they were able to find a new location in the downtown area again.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and was more than pleasantly surprised with the food and the service! I ended up telling a few people about it after my visit with genuine excitement! «Have you tried this place? The food is delicious!»

Wow. Just wow. The freshness and the lightness of the dough to the amazing toppings(we made it tough, half and half self made combinations on the large pizza) and out of this world(I only bags once a year) garlic knots I took home with me. And the side bag that was full of ranch dressing honey, parm cheese and marinara sauce… It was the BEST pizza I’ve had in Reno. Hands down. Or up at this point«we’re not worthy.» We will be back for drinks: want to try that Chardonnay on tap and eat at the bar. Service was awesome. Keep it up!

Big, big fan of the pizza. Not a fan of the limited hours. I first came to really like Wild Garlic the very first weekend I moved to Reno and went to the Mt. Rose St location with my family. The pizza is really good, perfect crust, nice appetizer selection, and good atmosphere. Prices aren’t bad for big, filling pizzas. Wild Garlic has a really good selection of pizzas with a rotating special that they feature on the chalkboard. The honey on the tables is of course their signature and honey on the crust is really good especially when you’re finished eating, you get your dessert. The Californian, the Wild Garlic, and the Angry Pig are the best pizzas on the menu but you can always customize to make your own. I was really excited to have a location close to downtown however the limited hours have been painful. We’ve come here or called at least three times just to be told that they’re closing early due to winter hours or due to lack of business, but I don’t know how you can expect to be busy when you close your pizza place at 8PM. It looks like they are now closing at 9PM going into the summer but that’s still an hour earlier than the other location that closes at 10. Noble Pie still dominates the late-night crowd for pizza.

Pizza, wings and beer… if you can’t do that then quit now and forever hold your peace. However… Wild Garlic(thanks to the suggestion of a fabulous Unilocaler!) does not fall into this group. After a long day of moving my daughter and her husband and family, we were starving and ready to devour some serious delish… I think it is a rule that everyone wants the old standby of beer and pizza on moving day, and we are not the exception. We are originally from Chicago and know good pizza… While this was not Chicago style it was still very tasty. We arrived at happy hour and they have $ 1 off draft beer and a lg. one topping pizza for $ 11.95. Such a deal, right? We ordered one with Italian Sausage. Note: that while using this deal you can’t add any other ingredients, even if you offer to pay for them… kind of a bummer as I am kind of a sausage and mushroom kinda gal. Missed the mushrooms but it was still good. Wild Garlic: You may want to consider allowing customers to add additional toppings to your special price, no biggie just a suggestion. If you like honey on your crust, every table has a bottle of it. Never tried it before moving to Reno, and I must say, it’s different but has a flavor everyone should experience at least once. Will definitely be back.

Freakin amazing pizza! As the name would suggest they put roasted garlic on everything, and it’s delicious. We tried a white chicken pizza with garlic sauce. I don’t usually like white pizza, but this one was awesome. Not overwhelmingly garlicky and chicken was cooked perfectly. We also split a traditional combination pizza, since that’s how I judge a pizza. So good. Sooooooooo sooooooooo good! The veggies we cooked yet still crispy and the red sauce is flavorful and tangy. Let’s get to the best part, the dough. Holy cow it’s amazing! The perfect amount of chewy and crispy without that terrible spongy consistency. Dip the large crust pieces in honey, or marinara, or just gobble them up plain because it’s that good. Love the location!

Last night, my husband and I had the pleasure of attending CYME: Wild Garlic’s Welcome to Downtown! I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I love Blind Onion pizza so I was thrilled to be able to try Wild Garlic, and at such a fun event. First off, I absolutely love the location! I have always found that little area next to the pioneer center very inviting, especially for places such as Wild Garlic. The atmosphere overall is very casual and comfortable. Certainly a great place to sit and enjoy your pizza! When I walked in, I was surprised at how many people were present, but excited because I know it’s good for the business. The first thing I tried were the wings, I’m not entirely sure the flavor of one, it was either the wild garlic or roasted garlic sauce. Either way, it was amazing! I also had a Caesar salad, which was pretty good, but then again I’m not sure if one can mess up a basic caesar salad. The first pizza slice I had the pleasure of trying was the Wild Garlic pizza, which was very good. I personally do not care for peppers in general, so I picked off the pepperoncinis. Regardless of that, the pizza was still very spicy, my mouth had a good kick in it for a while after that one. So if you’re not a spicy fan, I recommend ordering without the peppers, as picking them off essentially does nothing! The next things I had the pleasure of tasting were the Italian Panini and the Pesto Alfredo Panino. The Italian was good, but I personally wouldn’t rave about it. But, the Pesto Alfredo was absolutely amazing! If you go and you are looking for something new and exciting, get the Pesto Alfredo Panino, I promise you won’t be disappointed! It has the perfect blend of Pesto-Alfredo sauce, Canadian bacon, chicken breast, Roma tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. I could go on and on about this panini, you’ll just have to try it for yourself! Finally, the last item I tried(unsure of the name) was a pizza that had mushrooms and red onions and I believe Feta. It was excellent as well! I also had two glasses of the house Sauvignon Blanc to drink and it was very good for being on tap! I would recommend it for my fellow wine-drinkers. We also had the pleasure of meeting Owner Dean and you could see his love/passion for food and life in general. He was very kind and humble in telling us all the story of how Wild Garlic came to be as well as why there is Honey on all of the tables. It was very enjoyable.

No matter which wild garlic it is I visit, I always have a great experience. I got the chance to meet the owner recently and I must say, I now understand why each pizza restaurant is so well kept and the staff is so friendly. He really cares about his customers and his food. His love for pizza dates back to his college years and he does his best to ensure everyone loves it too. I highly recommend wild garlic not only for service but also flavor. The owner(Dean) tries his best to balance cost with quality and does a fine job of it. There are other places that will charge you an arm and a leg for a pizza that may or may not meet your standard of taste, those places are not wild garlic. If you’re a local or traveling through the reno area and looking for some good food, I hope pizza is on your list. If it’s not, you’ll be missing out.

Wild Garlic opened up again in downtown near the pioneer center. The pizza was good, the panini sample and spinach salad were my favorite of the offerings for tonight’s welcoming event. They also offered wings, garlic knots and Caesar salad. All food was quite tasty. I think this will be a good addition to the downtown area.

Wild Garlic Pizza Pub. Outstanding pizza, salads & panninies. Michael T, once again an amazing introduction to a great restaurant. CYME: Wild Garlic’s Welcome to Downtown! Wine and beer on tap, soft drinks, and, of course, pizza rules… and don’t forget the Honey(think this is a Reno thing). New Yorkers never even heard of honey on pizza crust. Primarily, because NY pizza has virtually little crust for dipping. However, now that I’m a Reno“ite”, I really like the honey on the crust. Who knew! Conveniently located near the Reno Court House, the Pioneer Theater, and the Bruka Theater, it’s an easy stop for a pizza lunch or dinner. Walkable from many of the new condos in the downtown area… so go ahead and have that second beer. And as always it’s great to meet up with fellow Unilocalers and to meet new ones. Tonight I met Mary L and Linda F(both already my friends on Unilocal). It’s nice to put a face to a name and to meet them in person. Gotta find Tim L(Mary’s spouse) and make him a friend too. So once again, thank you, Michael T, for the opportunity to taste the food and to enjoy the company of friends, old and new.

Let’s start with the quality of their food. In a word DELICIOUS! The chicken wings were meaty & flavorful, the garlic knots were soft & awesome when dipped in honey. We had BBQ chicken & good Ol cheese, both ere cooked to perfection with quality toppings & a delightful crust. The server was attentive, friendly & made us feel like welcome«regulars». We’ll be heading back for sure!!!

My boyfriend & I decided to get away for the weekend, so off to reno we went — after spending a long day on our feet walking around we ran into this joint & it was absolutely delicious! Its a very clean and nice environment and the employees were friendly and welcoming. We ordered the«Wild Garlic Pizza» which was Wild Garlic sauce, mozzarella cheese, chicken, red onions, pepperoncinis, grated Parmesan and roasted garlic. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. the crust was crispy, but fluffy inside & it was just pure perfection. I’d Definitely recommend anyone to check this place out & experience for yourself!

We are huge fans of Blind Onion in Downtown Sparks, but haven’t had success in their other locations, but that has changed. We had amazing service and food last night. The staff was very friendly and prompt. The food came out quick and perfect. We love the new location in Downtown Reno. We will definitely be back again and again!

This is pizza heaven! It isn’t for someone on a time crunch, but it is worth the wait. The garlic knots are slap your momma good(yes I am from the south and that is a huge compliment where I come from) the pizza dough is as good as it gets. Check out the pictures and stop on in for an incredible meal.

Huge fan of the Wild Garlic/Blind Onion franchise. Love love love their pizza. So far, for the 2 times I’ve been here, I’ve had a pleasurable experience. The first time, I had an hour lunch from 1pm-2pm, walked over from where I work and ordered 2 pepperoni super slices to go. The service was fairly quick. I don’t recall which day of the week it was. The second time, I called ahead and was able to walk over, pay and pick up my order and be out within a few minutes. The quality of the pizza both times was up to par with the rest of the locations. The service was super friendly and nothing to complain about. I love that this location is closer to work than the Mt. Rose location.

My coworkers and I decided to give Wild Garlic another shot at lunch since the pizza is yummy and it’s close to the office. Sadly, the service is still exceptionally slow. We sat ourselves and we had to flag someone down to get our drink orders. It took 45 minutes for our Garlic Knots appetizer to arrive and then she came back promptly with our 3 slices. At this point we were starving so we inhaled it but were still late to the office coming back from lunch. The food is great but with the service being slow, Wild Garlic probably won’t make it into our lunch rotation.

First time at the new Wild Garlic located in downtown Reno. Very nice restaurant setting for a pizza place. The pizza was excellent and the staff was extremely friendly and willing to carry a conversation. This is exactly how the Wild Garlic was on Mt. Rose street until they lost their manager Paul. Ever since then I have had nothing but burned personal slices and service that is just sub par. I use to love that spot for a quick bite. Hopefully the new Wild Garlic is able to keep the high level of service and well cooked pizza!

First time at Wild Garlic and we were not overly impressed. This is the new store on South Virginia downtown in the old Fuego location. We came in for a late lunch and they were fairly busy, but not packed. I was greeted cordially. Seating is open and I found a nice three top by the window. She said she would be with me in a minute. So I took the one menu on the table and stated perusing. Then my lunch date arrived. I picked up another menu and the beer and wine menu off another table. We perused. And waited. And waited. I left to use the facilities, came back and waited some more. I finally went over to the counter and eventually got someone’s attention and asked if we had to order here or at the table. She seemed a bit flustered and said they would take our order at the table. She came right over then and took our drink and food order. Our drinks were brought fairly quickly and then we waited some more for the pizza. To be honest, the pizza was not worth the wait. We had the Hawaiian which was OK but nothing special. The crust was crispy and tender, but did not have a lot of flavor. The sauce was uninspired and the pineapple was canned. I have had better. My companion had to go up to the bar to get a refill on his wine. On the plus side, they comped him the second wine and apologized profusely for the long wait. Once we were served, we were checked on to see if all was OK. The bill was brought and collected quickly. The comping and the genuine concern with the inconsistent service helped bring it up from one star, but the food was just not good enough to pull it up to OK. Apparently there were some problems with a large to-go order that was slowing everything down. They should have let us know that at the beginning and maybe made sure we had drinks sooner and an offer of some of the apps.

I am very glad to be the first to review their new loacation. Excited to try a totally new spot for me and a new location for them. Nice to always be greeted with a hearty hello and welcome. I really dig the looks of this place and I’m was super excited to try it. The menu all looks very yummy. I’ll be stopping here for lunch often and telling a lot of my Über and Lyft customers. I had The Garlic CheeZ Bites and they are great! Super tasty and hot and gooey. Then on to The Angry Pig!!! I know how to handle an Angry Pig! Brought to the table and wow it looked great and boy oh boy was it. The meat was all very flavorful and yummy. I had tea to drink and it was good. Great staff and great food. Looking forward to coming in here on many more occasions and try all the other great stuff on the menu. See you soon Wild Garlic Pizza & Pub.
