Ambiance: I imagine that when this place first opened it felt very classy and sophisticated. It still has that vibe but also feels dated. They did have live music which was a nice touch. The musician switched between various instruments too – talented! Service: Service was okay. They weren’t real quick on removing dirty plates or filling water. Food: The food here was okay. There was a very large selection which was nice. The seafood was mediocre with oysters and crabs being the highlight. They had numerous items on a long table that were covered in chafing dishes, but no signs to indicate what was inside. So every person had to lift the lids for each one as they walked down. Unfortunately this took extra time, exposed the food to the air much more than need be, and was difficult when juggling your plates. In addition, the dessert table had gnats or fruit flies around it, which made it rather unappealing.

This is a nice restaurant with a soothing kind of ambience. First of all, the quality of food here is slightly on the upper end when compared to the main buffet restaurant in the casino. I don’t agree with the pricing of their Sunday brunch, I feel like it should be valued slightly lower. I do however find the saxophone player to be quite an exquisite addition to your eating experience. Presentation and decorations are well thought out. I really like the oyster Rockefellers here.

Best Sunday Brunch in Reno! It’s $ 40 and worth every penny. They offer mimosas with your meal! Service is top notch. We will definitely eat her again the next time we’re in Reno!

Who doesn’t like buffets with lamb chops for breakfast! This place does the champagne brunch buffet right. My favorite buffet to bring out of town guests for brunch. You can’t beat the MTO omelette, carving station and of course the delicious lamb chops served with mint jelly. There’s also live entertainment, the gentleman that plays his many instruments is great to set the atmosphere and will take requests. :)

Yes I give this Sunday brunch a five star I thought it was a really well done. I started off with eggs benedict very nicely done. Potatoes with vegetables went into the lamb chops and asparagus headed on over to the seafood bar I had some baked oysters shrimp fresh tomatoes and mozzarella smoked salmon I stayed away from the mimosa because I didn’t want to feel tired the rest of the day but the orange juice was very delicious fresh the refills were not watered down as in some buffets all in all we enjoyed this on our happy 18th anniversary!

I’ve been back to the Sunday brunch at Sterling’s Steak House in the Silver Legacy Casino several times. It is definitely the best brunch buffet in all of Reno. The food is prepared in small enough quantities that it is fresh, not over cooked, and very flavorful. They have steak, shrimp, fish, lamb chops, and roast beef and ham along with the normal breakfast items such as made to order omelets and of course the usual sausage, bacon, eggs benedicts, and lots of fruit and pastries. The desserts are good too.

Two stars? Really? Yep. Sorry Unilocalers, I’m sad to report my husband and I were incredibly disappointed with the majority of our meals. We have lived in Reno for over a year and, seriously, that’s how long I’ve had my eye on this place. I was waiting for an excuse to go, and my new job seemed to be the ticket. We went with high expectations and so much excitement, and unfortunately left unimpressed. We were seated after about 15 minutes of waiting. We had a waiter come by and pour us water and ask if we wanted mimosas, to which we both replied YESPLEASE(like…is it even a question?). The first thing that was a little off was the fact that it wasn’t actually a mimosa. Our waiter poured us each a glass of champagne and orange juice. Separate. Well, um, I asked for a mimosa, and under other circumstances, I’d be more than willing to mix it myself, but if we’re paying $ 35 per person, shouldn’t that be done for us? Please tell me I’m not the only one that finds this strange and unacceptable. Trying to shake that off, Kyle and I got up and headed for the buffet to scope it out. We tried a little bit of everything: fruit, cheese, crab, shrimp, beef, chicken, you name it, it was on our plate. My hubby is from New England and knows his seafood well and was not impressed. He didn’t like the shrimp or crab(and yes, for the record, he has had amazing seafood in Reno, so he’s not just being a snob). The chicken was delicious and the filet was decent, but everything else pretty much fell flat. The fruit wasn’t fresh and the majority of the breakfast items I tasted(eggs benedict, pancakes, eggs, etc.) were soggy and pretty inedible. Unfortunately, just like the main entrees, dessert was a hit or miss and didn’t leave us feeling satisfied. Overall, I felt like Sterling’s Sunday Brunch really missed the mark. This could be incredibly awesome because of the high end items they offer, but they just weren’t executed well. I know I’m much more nit-picky than my better half, but he was in total agreement with me on this one. I know because it’s only offered once a week that it’s busy(hence the champagne and OJ in different glasses) and that it is still a buffet, so it won’t ever be as good as a freshly prepared meal. But still, at $ 35 a person, I was expecting to be wowed a little more.

If I can give them a million Stars I would. Best bottom less mimosa ever!!!, not to mention the food is amazing and quality for a buffet is unreal here. I loveeeee it. Our waiter Daniel was so kind to us, even our 7 month old had her own little Buffett on the table. The chefs took their time to mash her food for her and was so kind to do so! Hands down best experience here.

I was unfortunately disappointed here… We drove from Sacramento to Reno a month ago just for a yummy brunch to explore. It was a nice atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My complaint is the food. Even simple dishes either had no flavor or over salted. The crab legs seemed to be over cooked and that was very disappointing because they are my fave brunch treat. The food looked beautiful but tasted drab. The desserts were dry(I tried them all) and did not have that good sweet taste that you crave after a salty meal. The selection, layout, choices, and no line were fantastic. The taste of food was unsatisfactory.

Bottomless!!! Mimosas!!! Oh baby!!! I simply love this brunch it’s pricey at $ 35 but it’s worth it… Every breakfast choice possible plus snow crab legs, sushi, bacon, and filet! Every time you walk away to get more food you come back and your champagne glass is full again! There is nothing not to love about this place. Trust me go and you won’t be disappointed!

The reviews were great so we had to try it. $ 40 per person later… You sure have to love seafood to love this buffet. There seems to be more lunch than breakfast choices during brunch. I liked the mimosas. The place looks upscale and the staff is on top of everything. Super great. They will kick you out after you pay… No more mimosas.

Whatever your agenda in Reno is, Sterling’s Sunday Brunch is something you have to etch into your itinerary. I am still in disbelief I did not come across this gem the first time I came to Reno. If it be a grueling time at the tables the night before, you will be rejuvenated after Sunday Brunch at Sterling’s. Each time I have come to Reno, it has always been a battle between morals and humanity. The second time I definitely fared a lot better eating this meal. Each bite of their food slowly replenished the partial bits of soul I had previously lost to the city of Reno. In the future, this will undoubtedly be my Sunday morning meal. Anyways, Sterling’s Sunday Brunch includes some of the best selection of food possible, especially if you’re a seafood lover. The food is fresh and I may as well have been in Vancouver, cause I could not tell the difference. The smoked salmon was undoubtedly one of the best I have had in a while. Among the selection of seafood to choose from included crab, oyster, mussel, shrimp. For specifically brunch, some of the foods that stand out include the omelette, egg benedict, lamb chops and prime rib. The pictures show you more selection, but those are just what I found to be appetizing to me. Yes, it might have been a little on the pricier side, but it was definitely worth it after whatever journey you had in Reno. I just wish I was freaking hungrier on the day I came.

I think they changed the name because when I went on 1÷5÷15 it was called sterling’s seafood & steakhouse. Or maybe it’s just a breakfast place in the morning. 2 stars for food: i dont know if it was because we went during brunch but the food there was very limited. So we just loaded up on the snow crab legs to make it worth it. They had an oyster bar but their sizes were, on average 2⁄3 the size of my palm or larger(gross) the had a huge selection of bread but no soup. The shrimps were delicious tho. They also had charcuterie with smoked salmon which was my favorite part(besides the snow crab legs) There was also a whole section dedicated to make omelets and and a kids section that had mac&cheese, tater tot, waffles ?? For a «fancy» buffet the food wasn’t that good. And I wish there were more variety to choose from. At the end we were all wondering what kind of buffet doesn’t have prime rib and we realized they had it in the very back of the corner, no buenos. 1 star: our server was great. cleaned up our table whenever it was dirty, refilled our water and orange juice every time it was half empty. Just attentive overall.

So… I feel like I was jipped of the greatness this place was supposed to be after reading all of the 5 star reviews. What makes this brunch different from other brunches? That’s the basis of my review. There weren’t any outstanding differences. When we arrived around 11am, we received a table immediately. The restaurant was around ½ full. No line whatsoever. Omelet bar: Almost every buffet has an omelet bar. The line consisted of one person in front of me in comparison to maybe 2 – 3 people at other buffets. They don’t use any golden eggs here. The eggs are the same as anywhere else. The veggies and meat items were also extremely similar. I opted for one egg, over easy. When she placed it on my plate, it exploded. Fail. The cold bar: This area consisted of raw oysters, smoked salmon and other smoked fish, shrimp, cheese, and assorted meats. The oysters looked absolutely terrible. The smoked salmon was the same as what you would get at the Silver Legacy buffet. The same goes for the shrimp, cheese, and salami. Meh. The hot areas: Ok, the prime rib was moist and cooked well. I appreciated how dishes were cooked in small batches as that would maintain the freshness. It’s just unfortunate how that freshness was lost when the bottom of the plate was left on most of the items. They were drying out and not being replaced on a timely basis. The prime rib hash was something I wanted to try but it lost its freshness factor. I went back twice and it wasn’t refilled. All negatives aside, what really stood out was the lamb. Delicious… the best item at the buffet. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. This item… you can’t find at most other buffets. Desserts: Terrible. These are pretty much fillers paired with the thought process that if it’s there, you should eat one or two or three. I took a bite of a couple of items, key lime pie and pumpkin pie… blech. Super dry crust… not very appetizing. The bottomless champagne and orange juice are pretty basic at most Sunday brunches. This wasn’t anything special although the service was fantastic. My drink never hit the bottom. I actually had to back off when I was offered another refill. Haha. For the price, I don’t feel that Sterling’s was worth it. I’d prefer the dinner here instead. Save your money for a steak dinner here instead and opt out for a casino buffet for less than half the price.

Went for the first time last Sunday for a special occasion and all my expectations were exceeded. First of all, great service. Our server, Jesse, took care of us the whole time. Our champagne flutes were never empty and had orange juice and water(with lemon, always a nice touch) brought to us(almost) without even asking. The food: seafood, including raw oysters, oysters rockefeller, snow crab legs, shrimp, etc. On the meat side, I had the lamb chops and some cold cuts. They also have breakfast, of course, and had to try a few pieces of bacon and scrambled eggs. It was nice to see eggs benedict as well, but as you can tell, at this point I was mixing quite a bit of food so I stayed clear of those. After a few glasses of champagne I stopped caring I guess! And dessert options were incredibly tasty as well(we had chocolate tart and cheesecake), but it was hard to find room for it. Steakhouse atmosphere, because that’s what Sterling is, which is pretty nice of a setting compared to your typical casino buffet. When you think about it, what you get out of this brunch makes it an amazing deal. Overall a great experience and, though this may sound corny, made me love Reno a bit more.

Sometimes I am a total cheapskate. Sometimes I’m not. When friends suggested a celebratory brunch, initially I thought $ 35 plus tip… ehh… it’s near the end of the month, and I can convey my excitement for my friend at a different time and in a less expensive manner. But Sterling’s Sunday brunch has such a reputation for awesomeness that I committed to it. It will be worth it, I told myself. And, lo and behold, it was! Buffets: love the concept. Buffets with fancy pants food: oh my Lord. I love meat but don’t often cook it at home, so I loaded gleefully my first three plates with all kinds of meat: bacon, lamp chops, filet mignon, shrimp, and oysters. It was all delicious. I skipped the other foods they had on offer – fruit and vegetables, grains and pastries, and traditional breakfast foods – and rounded out my meal with three dessert courses, including an ice cream sundae. Many of the fruit-based desserts are made in small pastry cups and the cake slices are cut small, so it’s easy to sample a number of desserts. Oh, and then I had more bacon. The bacon was so delicious. Unlimited mimosas and Bellini’s: YES. Our flutes were never ever less than three-fourths filled. The coffee was also delicious. The service was above and beyond excellent. We started as a party of six, but told the host that we might have eight. Our party of six was complete at 10:45 am and we did not have to wait to be seated at an appropriately large table. But then three, not two, friends arrived at 11 am. No problem! Although the table was set for eight, the floor manager and our server quickly acquired an additional chair and table setting and made it work. Checks can only be divided between seven people, but our server did his best to make everything work out with respect to splitting the bill. The brunch ambiance is just right: fancy but not too fancy, serious but not too serious. I can see how the roving flute/sax/clarinet player could come off as tacky, but our table LOVED his playing and he even played a request for us. Would I come back here again? Yes, if I were celebrating a special but lighthearted occasion with friends or family and if I were in the mood to pay $ 45(buffet including tip) for the experience. Sometimes special occasions are best celebrated when everyone is at the table for the entire meal and the meals are plated, so it’d have to be an occasion in which a buffet setting is appropriate. Nevertheless if I’m going to do a buffet and do it right: Sterling’s is it.

If you’re in Reno and you’re a foodie, this is where you need to be! Yeah, it’s a little pricey, but it’s so worth it! We came here on a Sunday, a party of six, were seated, immediately! No standing in line, maybe it was the time of day? But, a place like this in Vegas would surely have a line formed out the door! At $ 35 per person, your brunch includes unlimited mimosas! Our server, Eric, was meticulously efficient on making sure that our glasses were full! Yes, us Unilocalers go to brunch quite often, and we have been to places that offer bottomless mimosas, but sometimes, the servers are difficult to locate, when we want to replenish our drinks. Not here. You have your cold station with salads, seafood, granola, fresh fruit, and cheeses. Hell, you can make your own butcher board, with the different cheeses, olives, cold meats, and pickled whatever. The hot food station with the prime rib and ham, was divine! Next to that, you have salmon, lamb chops, schnitzel, oysters rockefeller, and more. There is a dessert station with chocolate covered strawberries, crème brûlée, cheesecakes and a huge array of different breads, danishes, and baked goods, you can imagine! There is a kid station, omelette station, and an ice cream sundae station. After careful scoping of the layout, my game plan was to eat the meats and seafood first. I had the prime rib, shrimp, crab claws and oysters, as an app. After several trips, I made my way to the cooked foods, pasta, veggies and schnitzel. Then, I went for the desserts, I don’t like sweets, but they looked so pretty, how could I resist? I am proud of the fact that I ate $ 35 worth of food, lol! I am quite aware of the buffets that Vegas has to offer. But, when my hubby didn’t care to stand in line for thirty plus minutes at our last visit to Vegas, this was a long overdue alternative. Sterling’s offers everything that Vegas has to offer without having to stand in line, and it’s much closer in distance for us than Vegas!

Honestly, I think $ 30 is a pretty good deal for brunch this amazing. It’s nearly as good as Cliff House in SF, has much more attentive service, you’re not packed in like sardines, and costs 20 bucks less. Chalk that up as a win. Bottomless minosas, tasty seafood, rich pasta, delicious cheese blintzes, and awesome eggs benedict(minus the ham!) are some of my favorites.
