I may have been their second customer, after Robert S. I was between appointments, and in the mood for Mexican food, per usual. I’m someone who loves to eat breakfast at lunch, and am constantly disappointed by restaurants who stop serving breakfast at 10:30am. Chef and owner Carlos was very gracious, and made my breakfast burrito to order: eggs, avocado, tomato, light cheese and grilled veggies. It was seriously delicious, and I could only eat about half of it after Carlos brought me a cup of zesty chicken posole soup to try while I waited. I learned Carlos is the chef at Johnny’s Italian on 4th Street, and works at his new restaurant by day, and cooks at Johnny’s at night. I will absolutely be back to Salsa, and tell my friends. Thanks for a great first experience Chef!

Seems I was the first customer, not of the day but of ever.. I walked in while they were tinkering with the«open» sign in fact. I had stopped for a quick pick up, hoping this new place might have something easy for me while I was under the weather. If you had been in when the place was Fresco Café, you have already seen the«atmosphere» Salsa has. Nice quality textures and surfaces varying tiles of European influence. Muted earth tones and just a handful of tables, some bar height. Imagine a simple small lunch place. A few remnants of the previous business are still there, but I am sure will be covered and erased quickly. They also had a TV playing Telemundo. The menu is also simple. Tacos, Burritos, Nachos, Salads, Pizzas, Meatballs, Sandwiches. A single page(shown in my photo that will be attached). I ordered the special of the day a «French Dip» with a side salad. I chose the Blue Cheese salad. When I went in it was the fist day of business, but the feeling is very«soft opening». Right now not all the ducks are lined up perfectly but the place really has promise. The sandwich was perfect. Roast beef thickly sliced with onions and sauces, so good that I was tempted to not share it with my wife. The salad was basic and satisfying and $ 11. Looking forward to trying this place when I am feeling better and when they have all their ducks in a row.
