Came in for lunch today. Sat at the bar. Bartender was very nice and provided fast courteous service. I ordered the mushroom burger with a salad. The salad was fresh. The burger was cooked ok. Meat was flavorful. Vegetables were fresh. I will be eating here again. Hopefully this place makes it, 3rd different establishment in 10 years.

Coach’s replaced the former Spitfire Bar and Grille. They are plagued by the same issues that Spitfire had though — a terrible location which leads to a pretty small amount of guests each night. The location wouldn’t be so bad if there was an easier/more noticeable way into the parking lot if coming from any direction other than West. FYI — you can turn on Louie Lane, off of Longley, to go into the parking lot from the backend. They opened about 6 months ago and we’ve been in several times for drinks, but never tried any of the food. We typically have the same bartender — she’s super sweet, quick, and always remembers us. Like I mentioned, there’s never very many people in here. I don’t know what that means for the future of Coach’s #2 because it definitely didn’t help the last two business that were in the same location. A couple of weekends ago, they finally had their grand opening party. They were offering food and drink specials, doing giveaways, and would have a live band. We decided to stop by for a couple of beers and to give their food a try. When we pulled into the parking lot, it was packed. We were lucky to get a spot. I have never, ever seen remotely near that many cars in the parking lot and that really should have been our first indicator to stay away. But we still headed inside and were actually surprised to find a table. Without going into too many details, I will just say that I don’t think they were adequately prepared for the turn out that their grand opening(along with playoffs) would generate. It seemed that there was one poor waitress serving all of the tables, she seemed extremely frazzled, but was very apologetic about the time we had to wait for food, drinks, and our check. They probably could have used more bartenders because drinks were taking way too long to come out. And I’m not sure what happened in the kitchen but food was just not up to par(although I don’t have any previous experience to compare it too). The fish and chips were cold and soggy and just barely edible, if it hadn’t been so busy, they would have been returned in a heartbeat. I ordered the Gambler sandwich(roast beef, bacon, peppers, mushrooms, cheese, thousand island) but I’m pretty sure I received just the regular Philly Cheesesteak, it was still good, but just not what I ordered. Outside of the food and service issues, we never heard or saw anything about the food and drink specials or the giveaways that were mentioned on their Facebook event. I really hope that for any future events, they will learn to staff more people and be better prepared for large crowds. I also really hope that the quality of the food is better on «normal» nights. Since this is one of our neighborhood bars, I know we’ll be back for at least drinks, but it’s kind of up in the air as to when we’ll be eating there again.

Quiet for a Thursday night but the service was good and the food was excellent. The nacho half order was enough for my man and the Pasta Nevada I had was a good portion.

First of all Naomi is very good at what she does, friendly, observant, professional, fun, and welcoming. We went in late for a bite and a few rounds of pool… and she was our server/bartender. We will return because she was so great. So wad our dinner. Club sandwich and the reuben. We order to go from time to time but it’s better to go in and dine. Big clean venue, lots of tvs, video games, pool tables and jukebox with my favorites. We may have a bday party here. It’s cool. Go check it out! Naomi is there on friday nights!

This place is going to need to make enough money off their slots to cover their below average service and food. Prices are ok except I was charged the same for a virgin Bloody Mary. No alcohol. Same price. I asked if coke was the same price as jack and coke, they didn’t care. 3rd time here, probably our last. Tried giving service to the local place but they didn’t want it.

With a couple well-established competitors in the immediate neighborhood, Coach’s Grill & Sports Bar #2 is going to have to bring their«A Game» to stand apart. Unfortunately, my first visit to this recently-opened pub wasn’t exactly a slam dunk. Coach’s new space is decked out with custom tables, drink rails, a couple dart boards and pool tables, a small stage – no word yet on live music – and plenty of televisions tuned to sports programming. Unlike their original location, kids are welcome during daylight hours and there is no smoking allowed other than outdoors on the patio. Having skipped dinner, I talked my wife into joining me for some late night munchies around 11pm on a Friday night. Although the menu includes a full page of breakfast items(served at all hours) along with pizza, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and pasta, I was in the mood for appetizers. My wife decided to be a little less wicked and ordered a salad. There weren’t more than a handful of other folks in the place; we were seated without delay. Clam chowder was(of course) Friday’s soup of the day($ 4.50, small bowl). I’ve sampled plenty of «New England» clam chowder over the years, and this example had outstanding flavor with huge chunks of bacon and clam. However, I was literally able to stand a spoon straight up in the middle of the bowl. Perhaps it sat on a warmer all day, thus gaining the consistency of thick porridge. Still tasty, though. My wife’s cobb salad seemed small for the price, or as she put it, «underwhelming»($ 11.95). It was served missing a few key ingredients, enough that in hindsight I think perhaps a house salad with added chicken breast was what she received. Had I thought of this before paying I might have asked to have the check adjusted to reflect the price difference. An order of three sliders($ 6.95), including one each of cilantro/jalapeño, garlic mayo, and«Black & Blue»(blackened patty topped with blue cheese crumbles) was similarly disappointing. The patties were very thin and dry, completely dwarfed by the buns. Although there was plenty of blue cheese, I couldn’t detect any Cajun blackening on the meat. The garlic mayo was fair, but I couldn’t taste either cilantro or jalapeño on the third burger. Our basket of chicken wings was more enjoyable($ 9.95). Although a bit on the small side, the wings were cooked properly, there were plenty for the price, and the hot wing sauce was right on target. Less amazing were the shrimp kisses($ 9.95), described as seven jumbo shrimp stuffed with jalapeños and pepper jack cheese, wrapped in bacon and either broiled or fried. Our friendly server suggested trying both styles; I ended up with four broiled and three which were battered and deep fried. The fried morsels suffered in the flavor department. The taste of shrimp and bacon was muted by the heaviness of oil and batter, but at least they were fully cooked. The bacon on the broiled variety was crispy and the exposed areas of shrimp were done, but the wrapped portion of shrimp was just barely cooked through. No pink visible, but the texture was a lot softer than you’d expect from cooked shellfish. Served with red and white cocktail sauces, I found the white sauce to be a bit too rich and heavy. Further, I couldn’t find a speck of stuffing in either version, furthering my suspicion that whoever was cooking that night is unfamiliar with the menu. The place has only been open a couple months and I’m sure they’re still working out the kinks. If nothing else, I’d like to return on a Friday at lunchtime to revisit that odd-but-tasty chowder. If it’s still thick enough to support flatware, I’m going to ask for sourdough and spread it on toast.

Been here twice now. The first time we left after 10 minutes since we couldn’t even get acknowledged, a wave or eye contact. 2 bartenders, 2 servers and few people eating and at the bar. The second time we sat at the bar(surly we would noticed there) and we did. Gambled $ 40 between 2 people, ordered appetizers, 2 dinners & drinks. Overpriced bar food that sounded so good but ended up disappointing. For gambling, I was Comped the warm beer that I sent back, so that was nice. Service still needs help.

We had a real bad experience there today. never going back. Ever. I would not recommend this place simply due to the service. Have a list never even got our food so I can tell you if it even tasted good. The guy that worked there was so rude and offensive never offered any apology or explanation or anything … No excuse for rudeness.

I have done reviews for the last couple of sports bars at this location. A real improvement over the previous failed business. They have good atmosphere, good servers, fairly good menu(typical bar food) and(finally) poker machines. P. S. You can actually eat and not have to endure the heavy smoke of other places. Good Job.

First of all I am very happy to have another bar and grill aside from Sneakers and flowing tide in the Donner Springs area. Coaches is now within walking distance from my house. I had the black and blue burger and it was very tasty, using REAL blue cheese crumbles as opposed to a blue cheese sauce like some other places. Nachos and fries were both good. Will be back again to try something else! Good luck to the new coaches!
