Well, just found out that HomeFabrics & Rugs is closing — when I walked inside i immediately got sick to my stomach… The thought that this place will be gone soon makes me sad, angry and frustrated…
I have been coming here for years and always find what I am looking for when the other retail fabric stores don’t have what I need… I’ve learned to look here first!
Ok, everything is marked 30% off their already discounted price now and soon it will be all gone… Don’t anyone touch that P. Kauffman linen floral fabric I’ve got my eyes on — K?

They had a GREAT selection of rugs. Considering they were Home Fabrics AND Rugs, I expected more rugs. However, they selection they did have was awesome. It gave my husband and I a really good idea of what we wanted for our new home. We did end up buying a rug that was on sale. The didn’t have a good selection of runners, but if you are looking for small rugs or area rugs, you will be in luck looking here!

Did you know that Home Fabrics offers FREE classes? I took the tablecloths & napkins class and they walked us through the entire process of making a tablecloth, table runner and napkins. The class was very informal, with only 6 people in attendance — so we were able to ask a lot of questions! I heard the upholstery class is pretty awesome and lasted 8 hours! Our class was about 2 hours and typically the classes run about 1 to 2 hours. Now I just need to learn how to sew!
