I decided to try the The Habit Burger Grill over the weekend. This Habit Burger is located in the Sequoia Station Plaza that hosts a million other businesses so parking is always tight here but available. I’ve been to a couple of Habit Burger locations in LA so I pretty much knew what to expect. I’ve always been confused with the positioning of Habit Burger Grill as it sits somewhere in-between a In-N-Out and Five Guys. On a Sunday afternoon the place was pretty packed and had a strong buzz going, not the nice kind but more of the chaotic type. I got my standard order of double char with cheese($ 4.95) and fries to go. As they were so busy I had to wait more than 10 minutes to get my order. As expected the burger was better than the double-double that you would get in an In-N-Out but just by a bit. It was nowhere near the quality of Five guys. Price-wise it is almost 34% more expensive than a comparable burger at In-N-Out but only a tad better. Overall looking at the package of quality, service value for money I feel that Habit Burger Grill is just A-OK.

Jesus Christ this place is sooo slow. Was standing in line for way too long and the food took forever. Probably took over 30 min to get my food. Also these dudes don’t use gloves wtf? Food was ok

Superior customer service from being greeted the moment I walked into the door, to placing my order, to receiving it. My meal was very good, but the service was so grerat I’ll be making this a regular stop.

Ordered the chicken sandwich, this may of been my mistake. The chicken was dry, over cooked and unseasoned. The bread was dry and hard, nothing resembling taste in this sandwich. The guy working the register seemed like he hated being there and had a weird off-putting attitude. On top of all this, it clocked at about 20 minutes to get a fast food sandwich.

I placed an order online for pick up. I pick up my order take it to work and I was eating with coworkers around and I find a fly in my fucking food. So FUCKINGUPSET. I call the location and ask to speak to a manager, they tell me there off site and I would have to go in if I want to talk to the store manager. I don’t have time to drive back I just want a full refund. They put me on hold for more than 5 minutes, My coworker calls and they do the same carp. She was told that they can take a name and number and they can call back in a day or so. HORRIBLEEXPERIENCEANDSERVICE.

Came here with the family for the first time yesterday. Ordering was a little stressful as we weren’t familiar with their menu and how they served their burgers(not to mention we had to repeat and clarify orders several times, which left us a little apprehensive). However, once we got our food, we were pleasantly surprised. Bonus: the resident Cheesarian enjoyed his grilled cheese! So that makes it official: we can add The Habit to our list.

Easy review to write for the Habit: kids love it, the missus loves it. On my burger scale they’re in between Five Guys and In-N-Out. Decent fries. Shake quality not a priority for me on this one, but I like the iced tea selection. Get your burger on.

Arrived on a weekday at 11:10am for an early lunch. Checked out website which said open at 10:30 but alas doors were locked. Noticed a sign with store hours which said open at 11:00am, so I jiggled the locked door again and peered through the glass to see a waiter setting a table and just starring at me. Awkward. Looked around through the glass and saw a cook starring at me, no one came to the door. Awkward. At least have the courtesy to come to the door and fill me in, I would have gladly waited outside while they set up… Screw that place, walked down the street and got a great burger at a little mom and pop shop and totally forgot why I tried this fast food joint to begin with.

This review is on the location only, I’ve had the Habit plenty of times when I lived in Southern California. Overall I love this place. The staff was friendly and the food was good HOWEVER… I specifically asked for NO avocado and NO honey mustard on my veggie burger and they put both on it. I wanted it to be just like their char burgers except with a veggie patty, and I even told them that. Please just listen to your customers, and double check the order when handing it off… When it’s a to-go order it’s a pain when you get home and your order is wrong. Also… Where are the little banana peppers they have at all the other locations?! They only have jalapeño peppers and pepperoncinis… The other locations have banana peppers too which are hotter and amazing.

One word… Yum! The place is clean and spacious and the food is delicious! It’s still a burger joint but with a decent and fairly fresh variety. Even during a crowded dinner rush the restaurant stayed fairly clean. By the time you order your food and it’s ready there is a spot ready for you to sit and enjoy your delicious meal.

Location: Redwood City Safeway shopping complex, right next to Old Navy on the Jefferson St side. Parking: not a problem; normally always parking available in the shopping complex. Getting your food: Simple menu(but with a good amount of options– more than In N Out at least) overhead at the registers, order at the counter, you get a buzzer/pager to keep with you while you wait for your order to be ready. You pickup your food at the counter, to the left of the registers when you get buzzed. Service: Cashiers are friendly. Wait time for your food to be ready if you ordered a small meal: moderate/reasonable… not ready in a couple minutes, but doesn’t take insanely long either. Place: A good handful of tables inside, something like 10, and a few outside. Restaurant isn’t fancy, uncomplicated«fast food» ambiance, clean. There are bathrooms. Food: Tasty, good burgers. In my opinion, an unquestionable upgrade over a Burger King/McDonald’s burger, more ingredients and«flavors» than In N Out, and definitely better than Five Guys. There are a good handful of items offered, but among these, some main things offered include good fries(including sweet potato), malts, shakes, and more. Overall impression: Definitely a place to return for a relatively quick bite if you have a hankering for a better than average fast-food burger at a reasonable price.

With In and Out, Five guys and a few other burger joints, currently Downtown Redwood City has some serious competition with the newest Habit Burger grill arriving inside the busy Sequoia shopping center. The new restaurant has replaced Johnny Rocket’s. I had great experiences from few of the other Habit Burger Grill’s locations. But for some incentive reason, the new location did not meet my contentment. On my debut, I ordered the BBQ charred bacon cheese burger. For $ 5.00, I get a grilled patty, bacon, with a choice of cheese(I chose Swiss) and the usual condiment in a bun. There are combo meals, but not with the specialty burger I ordered. So I also ordered an order of sweet potato fries for $ 2.75 and a vanilla milkshake for $ 3.50. The specialty burger was very good and tasty, but the size was tiny. The size could be mistaken as «sliders». The milkshake was a bit on the icy side and very bland. I was a bit disappointed on the newest Habit Burger location in Redwood City. I will definitely stick with In and Out or Five Guys!

I wasn’t sure about this place… especially since there are a lot of burger joints popping up. Decided to at least give it a chance and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the Charburger but added bacon, mushroom, and avocado on it with swiss cheese instead of the dreadful American cheese. It was hella good. Dare I say it, but it was better than In & Out… yeah, I said it.

This place is in crazy high demand. There was a line out the door when I arrived. The restaurant is nice — it’s new, clean, and comfortable. The service was friendly, and food was good. I ordered the veggie burger, but added mushrooms and cheese. The burger was good, but I wouldn’t call it a slam dunk. It tasted like your average veggie burger, although it had a nice light sauce. On the sandwich included tomato, lettuce, cucumber, and the other toppings I added on. Overall I’d give it a 3⁄5. A bit bland, but I’d get it again in a crunch. I also ordered the regular fries. These were great. They were really fresh and hot, and I liked them as much as any other normal french fry I’ve tried elsewhere. As far as a normal fry goes, I’d give them a 5⁄5.

I’m absolutely addicted to their grilled chicken salad. The veggies are crispy and fresh, the grilled chicken is juicy and perfectly flavored, and the red vinaigrette makes a great dressing. I also wanted to try their burgers but didn’t want to commit to the calories so I ordered a kid’s burger meal which consists of a small burger, small fries, and a gummy candy that looks like a burger. The burger wasn’t bad. The meat has a burnt taste which is what you should expect since they’re known for their charred burgers. Not bad, but not my cup of tea. I like the fries since they’re on the thicker side.

Ive had generally good experiences with the Habit at the other locales. Not that i had a bad one while i ate here. Double char bacon cheeseburger hit the spot at the time. Good strawberry lemonade and iced tea. Full for lunch and it. Hit the burger craving. However later that day, lets just say i was held hostage on the olé thunder bucket. I hope this is a single occurrence as i do like their food.

my hubby had been eyeing this place for a couple of weeks since the«opening soon» banner was sprawled across the front of the restaurant. we had our chance to dine here a couple of weeks ago to see for ourselves. on a sat evening around 7pm, the line was quite long, not quite out the door, but very close to it… however, it moved quite quickly which was good. my husband ordered the char cheeseburger with sweet potato fries and a medium soda. note that since he chose the sweet potato fries instead of the traditional french fries, he had to pay for these items a la carte instead of as a combo price. i did the math and it was only slightly more, so no big deal. his burger appeared to be an average sized burger, patty with cheese and veggies. i tried some of the sweet potato fries and they were really good, hot, crispy, yet slightly chewy on the inside. i ordered the grilled chicken salad which consisted of fresh romaine, iceberg and red leaf, roma tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, carrots and croutons, topped with sliced grilled chicken breast. i was pretty amazed at how fresh this salad was, considering the fact that i was dining at a burger joint. the greens were crisp, the tomatoes sweet, the cucumbers cold and crunchy, and the onions tangy. the chicken was tender, without any skin or bones, and was seasoned well. i very much enjoyed my salad and wouldn’t hesitate to order it again. our total bill? $ 16.57 including tax… pretty good for dinner for 2! staff was friendly and checked on us periodically to see if there were any dishes that needed to be cleared. we also had a brief visit from the manager who asked how things were. nice touch to have a visit by the head honcho! we sat outside on their patio which was perfect on a warm summer night. i noticed that they had a couple of heat lamps which means that we could also sit here during the cooler months of the year. there are separate men’s and women’s restrooms in the rear of the restaurant. the women’s room was well stocked and very clean, which was to be expected for a brand new establishment. since this is located inside sequoia station shopping center, you can either park inside the shopping center or along the streets of downtown rwc. great new addition to rwc, and i hope to dine here again soon!

Yummy! Glad for a new burger spot in Redwood. The Santa Barbara burger is great — double patty on perfectly buttered and grilled sourdough with two slices of melty cheese and avocado. I could only eat half. Love their onion rings and fries. Speedy service. Cute outdoor patio. Reasonably priced.

Welcome to RWC! Outstanding friendly staff! Hardworkin and quick kitchen staff. Management strolls throughout to connect with guests. I even observed a manager behind the line helpin out and even bussing tables! Thumbs up to her! I had a go at the Santa Barbara since I like avocado. I enjoyed the sandwich. Fries were nice as well. My Son and I were through the order line, seated, and eatin in very little time. I did order us a chocolate malt that was adorned w whipped cream which I made sure we didn’t finish. Burgers and shakes have a bazillion calories! I wasn’t thirsty at first, but I caught a glimpse of the daily juice mixture. Fresh strawberry cucumber limeade had me back in line for the biggest size which we quickly drank! Was an excellent thirst quencher on such a hot day. I was greeted with a friendly and welcoming smile from Jocelyn. Nayeli’s super see attention was pleasant as she passed by to see if we desired anything else. The longest wait we had to experience was for the loo. Only one for each sex but they keep them super clean. Even have a sign inside welcoming guests to advise the staff if they need to be attended to. Great year round outdoor seating and upbeat music playlist to keep your head bobbin while you munch and sip away. Was an excellent visit! Unfortunately I prefer thick patties I can order medium rare. My heart is with Patty Shack down the road. But you’ll love them I’m sure! I wish them well!
