This Peets is so hit or miss. They must have a bunch of new people because some days my drink is great the others it sucks. Totally tasteless some days, more than others. Every other Peets I go to I’ve never had variance like this.

I have past several time over the shop and finally I was able to enjoy a Havana Cappuccino Coffee — no too sweet; it is perfect.
The place was clean and quiet may because of the hour.

I moved in right across the street from peets and go here regularly (1−2x/week). I got a new phone and Apple Pay was not set up so I ordered them realized it wasn’t working and told them I would simply go across the street and get my wallet. They wouldn’t have any of it they took my order back and said no. The cashier who was perhaps new even asked the manager. This policy of nickel and dimieing regulars is short sighted and rude and I will gladly walk further to Philz where I’ve forgotten my wallet before and they were fine to give me coffee and I paid them back the next time. It just adds to the peets being stuck up and elitist reputation.

At 7:30 pm tonight, I went and ordered 3 large mango sunrise. After paying and waiting for my drinks, the cashier comes to me and tells me they dumped the tea. Seriously?! If you’re going to stop serving a particular drink at a certain time, why isn’t listed on the order menu? The cashier and baristas seemed much more interested in closing on time than «servicing» customers. To make matters worse, the cashier tells me it’ll take 3 – 5 business days to get a refund. WTF?! This has happened more than once at this location so clearly Peet’s corporate thinks this is acceptable service. I really liked going to Peet’s because of the great service but this particular location is horrible. After being a loyal Peet’s customer, I guess I’ll be bringing my business elsewhere. Note, if you’re ordering anything with tea, you may want to call ahead to make sure they haven’t «dumped» the tea.

I have been coming to this Peet’s coffee shop for a few months and I have always had a great experience. The coffee is always on point, the service is pleasant and fast, and the atmosphere is just a cool, laid back vibe. This is by far my favorite coffee place in Redwood City and it has a great location that’s close to my work. Keep it up, guys, you rock! :)

Yes. Just yes. I’ve been going to this Peets location for years, and while the service varies by barista, I’ve overall had a great experience. It’s been my port in the storm so frequently as not only a place to stay warm and sip a hot drink, but also to have meetings and interviews.
The convenient location just next to the train station and just far enough away from the sequoia station shopping center is a great perk.

I really don’t like the coffee at Peet’s and this one is no different. I ordered the Vietnamese coffee, and it’s nothing like vietnamese coffee. I had my share of vietnamese coffee so I think I know what I’m talking about.

I’ve been here more than enough because I work around the corner. And the service is usually just okay. I mean I come in the morning so I can understand some cashiers aren’t morning persons.
I usually get a caramel macchiato or a flavored tea on those exceptional hot days here in Redwood City.
Overall the atmosphere is chill and you get your occasional weirdos but what coffee shop doesn’t?!

The customer service needs some work.
I did not realized the green tea I ordered had jasmine in it. I explained to the worker that I cannot have certain ingredients and asked him what are the ingredients of my tea two times, but he told me he did not know. The 3rd time I asked him, he gave me the green tea wrapper to show me the ingredients. I wish he did this the first time I asked what my tea had.
After telling him I could not have what was in the tea, he apologized and gave me a coupon for a free drink.
The worker did a good job of handling the situation once he knew I could not drink my tea by giving me a coupon. He needs to improve on answering customer questions… seriously, all he had to do was read the wrapper or let me do it… not give me the run-​around.

The staff was a bit off — everyone seemed out of it or was new on the job and wasn’t sure what they were doing. My cashier was fairly new because she kept on asking how to input the order.
I had the vanilla latte and it was one of the worst vanilla lattes I have ever had. It tasted mostly of the syrup, which wasn’t that good I guess. Next time I am going to try another drink or at the very least get half syrup.
They do have chocolate scones here which is amazing. Not the best that I’ve had but so few places even have chocolate scones, so this was a small miracle.

Staff is friendly and quick to knock down a long line or at least get ppl out quick. One of the employees Peter always remember my drink and has a great attitude at work. I noticed at other Pete’s my espresso drink sometimes comes out tasting burnt but it rarely happens at this location. They have a couple good baristas manning the bar, Peter is one of them. Parking isn’t too bad either considering ppl park to get coffee then leave.

Best eggnog latte! In general I don’t drink coffee except at holiday time and that only for the eggnog lattte. It store makes in better than the one in Belmont and Potrero Hill Plaza, know it’s all supposed to be the same but believe me it’s not.

Ever since I worked for Peet’s I’ve really liked this location– there is a ton of seating and lots of work space for the staff. They always have all of their pastries and packaged food well stocked. The staff is kind– I don’t know any of them personally like at some other shops but they all seem to be kind and reasonably happy working. The parking in this area can be tricky but not impossible. Definitely one of the better locations for reading/​working.
