MidPeninsula Music Academy

My Teenage daughter has been taking classes there for about a month. The Director Ryan Zwahlen, is very friendly and organized. In fact, everyone there is very nice and encouraging of the musicians.
I love that my daughter can take a vocal lesson, then turn around a take a piano lesson at the same exact location (yet with different instructors). I have also seen parents bring in two kids who can then take private lessons with two different teachers at the same time. It is very convenient and parking is easy.
Their online billing and email reminders are fantastic. I much prefer that to remembering to bring a check every lesson. I look forward to a potential teenage song writing class.

This is a place where learning to play music is simply magical!
I am a classical piano player. After 35 years of piano, I am now learning how to play the Oboe with Ryan Zwahlen the Director of the MidPeninsula Music Academy!
I wish this school existed when my son was growing up and was learning to play the cello.
I am amazed how fast I am progressing and how delightful but very serious my lessons are. I am truly lucky to have found an exceptional teacher who is also an exceptional professional Oboe and English horn player. Ryan is a scholarly and academic musician and has an outstanding pedagogic method in teaching the Oboe. He also helped me ordering my Oboe from France after trying out many instruments here in the US.
I see children or adults having voice, guitar, keyboard, clarinet… lessons. Kids seem very happy and parents are delighted and proud. It is an amazing formula this school has in teaching music. Students love learning music, they excel, they learn to play music together and have fun, and finally to give back to the community. Yes! indeed, it is a fantastic aspect of this school: enabling kids to give concerts for elderly or for the patients in hospitals… or other venues.
So I highly recommend this school to all the parents looking for excellence but also in cultivating the joy of playing music in their children.
