Might seem a little harsh, but there’s a reason for this: blatant unsanitary food practices. I rarely ever go on Unilocal and it would either be for some place that earned praise or criticism; this earns the latter. I was taken to this place on a recommendation from a friend. The food was decent enough though not something that would warrant rave reviews. This is an average taqueria at best. Good for if you are hungry and don’t want to keep eating the same things, that’s it. To the point, as I sit here eating i am watching this older woman filling the salsa bar. While she’s filling it, naturally she is getting salsa on her hand, hey it happens. She has a towel, but is she using it to catch what she’s getting on her hand? No, instead she is licking it off her hand by my count now three times. Having worked in food business for years and having knowledge of safe food handling procedures I’m left wondering how sanitary this place really is. The lady I’m watching certainly isn’t hygienic and I doubt she’s washing her hands in between tasks where she’s licking her hand. Oh and now that I’m done with this review she’s doubled the number of licks. Don’t eat here if you want to avoid catching something, or at the very least getting sloppy seconds from an old woman. I will not be back here

I’ve tried 6 of the better known taco stands in RWC and this one tops the charts for me. Service is outstanding(super-informative in Spanish and just fine in English). Lengua is tender and not too greasy at all. Carnitas have that crispy edge without any gristle. Corn tortillas are fresh. Salsa bar blows me away with its tremendous variety. Try the fresh and light garbanzo beans. A couple of the salsas(on the left, towards the back) have real fire, but ALL are distinct from each other. All in all an outstanding experience every visit.

Loved it! They’ve got a sweet salsa bar with no less than 24 options. I had two«super tacos», one carne asada and one grilled chicken – grilled chicken was my favorite. Loved their drink selection, too – had a bottled Coke hecho en Mexico. Prices were reasonable. Wife enjoyed the chicken tamales, too.

Wow. Folks from NorCal must be easily impressed when it comes to Mexican food… I mean it’s ok, but nothing I would go out of my way for. The salsa bar is nice. Some of them have some real heat in there. Serice was fast. Chips were crisp, but not kept warm Had a Carne Asada super burrito. It was large, but mostly rice and beans. I would of preferred less mass and more flavor.

The food was fabulous! The owner proudly told me about all the salsas available… They should look into replacing chairs. My husbands chair legs broke but hey, the food was great so it was worth it!

Amazing Mexican food, with a salsa bar that has a variety of 20 different salsas! I’ve never been here before today, and my boyfriend recommended this place from reading reviews on Unilocal. It’s awesome authentic Mexican food, however you can not switch up the menu at all. I ordered the two soft taco plate that comes with two soft tacos, and asked if I could just add one crispy taco instead of two. The lady behind the counter became kinda snappy and told me I could only order from menu, and not make changes like that.(The tacos come in plates of two) This was the only downside, but other than that, this little restaurant is GREATBANGFORYOURBUCK

I’ve gone to Rosita’s several times now, and their food is simply amazing. It is especially convenient for large groups looking for a simple bite to eat: the cooks are very friendly, there are countless options, all made quickly and with care, and the food is quite well-priced. While going with friends, I’ve found myself ordering a platter of tacos. Note: 14 tacos, 6 drinks for $ 30. A bargain for large groups!

Holy Crispy Tacos Batman! I have been on the search for a crispy taco to match Adalbertos in Fairfield and Rosita’s definitely surpassed expectations. I knew I was onto a good thing when I walked in with a guy in a suit, a couple construction workers and a group of co-workers out for lunch. This place appeals to everyone because its amazing food at decent prices can’t be beat. It also have a great selection of salsas(20+), the three I tried were all really good. One of the guys waiting for his food said it was the«best salsa selection in city». So that’s a pretty good recommendation. On to the crispy tacos. Their tacos were a perfect mix of crunchy, greasy, amazing flavor. I have been looking for that authentic, deep fried shell and Rosita’s delivers. They also pile on the toppings(guac, tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream and cheese) and have some AMAZING meat to round it out. I had a carnitas and carne asada taco. The carntias was moist and flavorful and some of the best I’ve ever had. The carne asada was still really good, but I think I’ll try something else next time, if only because I’m spoiled with how awesome the carinitas was. I had the burnt orange salsa(none of them are labeled so you kinda have to go on color, or take the time to ask. My tacos looked so good, I wasn’t about to wait!), which turned out to be a sweet/spicy mix with habaneroes and mango as well as the fire-rosasted tomato salsa which packed more of a punch then expected, but was great mixed with the sweeter salsa. The people working there were also super-nice and great with suggesting items to try or answering questions about their salsas! All in all, if you are a fan of true crispy tacos(tacos dorados), this is the place to go on the peninsula!

This is EASILY my favorite Mexican food place in the Bay Area. The staff is always friendly and patient when I’m ordering and always willing to make the customer happy. When you walk in they have a large selection of drinks on the right side which is nice because they have everything ranging from sodas to Arizona iced teas to Jaritos drinks. Anyways, let’s get to the food. My favorite and I mean FAVORITE burrito here is the Pastor super burrito. The pastor is cooked perfectly and is so flavorful. The one thing I love is that they don’t put pineapple in their pastor like a lot of places do. The pineapple just makes it way too sweet. If you want authentic Mexican food you need to come to this place NOW! They also offer a «salsa bar» with over 20 salsas to choose from. They are all hand made and crafted by the owner, Jose. Do yourself a favor and try the mild salsa. I promise you it will be the best, most flavorful mild salsa you’ve ever had. I LOVEROSITAS!!!

I’m the odd one out here. I was so excited to try their breakfast burrito especially since it’s a good price — $ 5! But it was disappointing! First off it was small — like the size of a frozen burrito you get at the market. I also agree with other reviews that it is dry so definitely pour some salsa. I did like the crispy potatoes but everything else inside(chorizo and cheese) were so bland! If there were eggs, I sure didn’t taste any! I am curious about their tacos, but if you can’t get a breakfast burrito right, I’m a little skeptical. There is a variety of salsas but customers can only get three containers full anymore it’s $ 1 for an additional three. Not coming back, I’m sure they’re other spots in the area(off Middlefield) that are better.

I meet my son here about once a month. He always gets the super burrito with carne asada and loves it. I ordered the veggie burrito — choice of regular, wheat or spinach tortilla — o.k. I’m sold. This veggie burrito was amazing, the veggies are freshly diced, not grilled and go perfectly with the rice and beans. I’m usually a carne asada or carnitas lover but have been doing the vegetarian thing during the week and this burrito did not disappoint. Even if i wasn’t a vegetarian I would order this. Really delicious food, reasonably priced and super nice owners.

Maybe I made the mistake of coming here on Cinco De Mayo. Nearly all the tables still had messy leftovers strewn across them, which didn’t bother me immensely but perhaps it was just a sign of the state of things. I ordered two carne asada tacos and one al pastor taco. As mentioned, this place is awesome for the dozen and a half or so salsas they have available. When my order was placed in the window, it was missing my third taco. When I asked, it was like I was bothering them instead of them being in the wrong. Either way, I got my correct order and took things home for lunch. Everything was just very so-so and I felt pretty grimy afterwards. I’d try again, but I felt pretty disapointed on this visit.

Fish tacos are amazingly good! Typically, I’m not a fan of Mexican food, but this place turned my world upside down. Mom and pop shop, nice authentic experience, good healthy meal, this is a winner combination rarely seen in contemporary urban setting. Really, just try it out, you’ll live it!

My husband and I stopped by to pick up tacos to go. We ordered 4 without any veggies and 4 with cilantro and onions. When we got home, there were 8 tacos with no veggies. The meat didn’t have any flavor, but the corn tortillas were soft. We probably won’t be back since there’s several options in the area.
