Magic Alterations

For those of you that have the patience to hold a needle and thread, sew, stitch, whatever, bless your heart. Sarah is one of those people.
She’s very talented and pays attention to details.
Now keep in mind, she won’t do work on just any old piece of clothing; it must be quality and worth fixing up. Her craft is an art and she prefers to work on what she thinks will be of a substantial value. I love that; a connoisseur of fine clothing!
Dropping off and picking up was super laid back. I was in a workshop all week and couldn’t make it to pick up when she called. It was so nice that she explained to me, «just relax, it will be here.»
If my life were wild and crazy (and it is) having nice, mellow seamstresses like Sarah around is a delight.
Make sure you bring cash when you’re picking up!

I didn’t even pass go with these guys because they were so rude on the phone.

Needed a bridesmaid dress altered (surprise surprise) and decided to stop by here. The woman was extremely nice. She gave me a quote and together, we went over (very thoroughly) all the alterations that would be done to the dress. I was told to come back in a few weeks for a fitting. The first fitting went very well. It looked like only minor work needed to be done before the dress was completely finished. However, in subsequent fittings, one of the straps never sat flat when I tried it on so that took an extra few days but she was very detail-​oriented and adamant about making sure the alterations were perfect! It was great to have someone care so much about the dress. Would definitely return for any future alteration needs. No credit cards accepted.

Sarah is my hero! My ballroom dress zipper split at 3pm the day before my competition. I phoned a bunch of places and they all said «sorry, we’re closing» or «not enough time». Then I called Magic Alterations and she told me to bring the dress in. In spite of closing an hour later Sarah said she could do it. And she did. Not sure what I would have done without her going the extra mile for me.
Now I know who to try for the alterations I’d like to make.

I don’t write many reviews but this place deserves one! I first started coming here when I got an interview for my current job back last year (mid 2014). My pants needed hemming and my entire suit needed dry clean/​press. The owner had my suit ready to go the next day knowing I needed it quickly without any extra charges. She simply is a genuinely nice person and does a FANTASTIC job. Her turnaround is fast if you need it. Prices are standard, but work is excellent and very much worth it. I don’t come in here that often, but the owner always remembers me and it appears she does most of her customers. Very IMPRESSIVE! It is just who she is. As a business professional, I highly recommend this facility and it is worth your time and money.

Had my wedding dance here for a quick alternation. Price was decent and the turn over was quick. Didn’t pressure me into «fixing» anything else expect for what I asked. Quote was lower than most place I asked. Sweet lady. down 1 stars because of the tight space. Overall, we return!

Sarah is the sweetest woman and does a great job! I’ve had several pairs of jeans and pants hemmed and have all my dry cleaning done here. Sara is so friendly, the prices are very good, and turnaround is quick. I highly recommend Magic Alterations!

Customer service was excellent but the quality was crap and a bit expensive. I brought in designer jeans and she did just an uneven job, that now I just wasted $ 290 on jeans that I can never wear again. very dissapointed.

Sara hemmed and steamed my wedding dress for me. She is LOVELY. Her work is quality, her pricing is good. I was never worried about my dress when it was in her care, it came out beautiful. She also altered my sister’s bridesmaid dresses, my mom’s mother-​of-​the-​bride dress, and a peacoat for me a few months ago. She is FANTASTIC. Go to her, NOW.

I have been using Magic Alterations for several years now. Sarik does an amazing job with hemming jeans and using the original bottom or matching the thread; taking in the waist of jeans and pants; fixing holes in sweaters; adding buttons and hook-​and-​eye closures… you name it, she does it. She is quick, professional, and extremely friendly. I highly suggest Magic Alterations!

Today a friend was telling me how great this place is! I’m surprised it has no reviews.
She got her True Religions hemmed here. They have the thick stitching, so of course she wanted the original hem! It was only $ 18 to boot =]
She had another pair hemmed by Nordstrom before, for $ 20 and it wasn’t as good.
I just bought a pair today and am definitely gonna check this place out! Hopefully I’ll get around to editing my review once I get mine done!
