Checkout times ahead of times if you haven’t been here before because I wasted meter money coming at the wrong time. The sake here is a delicious warm easy going bomb down your throat. I loved it!!! They have very many sushi and noodle selections. I tried the mango roll. It was very very very good. It was delicious and refreshing, exactly what I needed. The music here is pretty cool . I like the A/C. I needed the nice cool breeze because I was pretty hot and tired.

The recent 5⁄20 review must have the wrong place as they are not open after 8PM. There is a similarly named place down the street. The co-owner Yanni is one of the warmest people you will ever meet. Terriyaki lunches are their strong point. The portions are generous and tasty. They don’t seem too busy, but that is because, unfortunately, there are too many Japanese restaurants nearby. However they have been there longer than the others, which says a lot.

I meandered into this little shop hungry and curious. I love seafood, and I definitely love sushi. As I walked in, the main hostess greeted me with a warm smile, and I was asked whether I sought to dine-in or order take-out. When I took my seat, she brought me complimentary edamame and water, and informed me of their additional specialty rolls. I ordered the yellowtail roll and the dragon roll. Both rolls arrived on an arranged platter, in a decent amount of time(the place was empty, so it’s not as though I had to compete with anyone else). While I certainly enjoyed the dragon roll, I loved the rich flavor of the yellowtail roll. I enjoyed my experience, as well as the cheaper-than-average pricing. I’ll definitely either dine-in or take-out from this restaurant on a future date.

Totally kid friendly and located near movie theatre and friday nightvmusic at courthouse. Outside seating available. The best chicken teriyaki in RWC… taste a little hibachi with their signature Teri sauce that i haven’t had anywhere else. California rolls are so delicate and beautiful, real crab…5.958 pieces Chicken curry over rice is so well balanced and mello-savory that I will literally Jones for this as a comfort food go-to. Our waitress was so sweet and animated i felt like i was in a surreal space. Good thing i was straight because it would have been a trip i couldn’t describe on Unilocal. Ambience is a little sterile but good food.

DONOTCOMEHEREAFTER8PM even if they tell you to take a seat. Or maybe at any time. I’ve been to Blue Fin in the past and had fairly good experiences, but this experience was so poor that I vow to never return. We came in on a Wednesday night at around 8:30pm. We sat at the bar because most tables were not bussed yet even though there was only one other party seated. After 10 minutes, we had to get our own menus because the waitress/hostess was busy fixing a large takeout order. After another 10 minutes, the sushi chef felt bad for us and tried to take our order. He made our sushi bar orders, but didn’t follow up on the hot food orders. After another 10 minutes, he told us that we would have to wait 40 minutes for the hot food since they just sent the cook out to deliver food. Yes, he went to deliver an order. We saw him leave but didn’t realize that was happening. Separately, I saw the waitress/hostess through the window to the kitchen putting raw chicken on the grill. I connected the dots and realized that if we ordered hot food, she would be the one cooking it. Not really what we wanted. The waitress/hostess still did not come to us because she was busy fixing another takeout order that she messed up(I’m guessing that they forgot an order of teriyaki chicken which is why she was in the kitchen). At this point, we quickly finished the 3 sushi bar orders and then asked for the check. When the waitress/hostess heard that we wanted our check, she said«oh so soon?» and«I thought you ordered [hot food dish]». The sushi chef mentioned to her that he advised us to cancel it since it would take a long time. At this point, my husband was standing at the cash register ready to pay. She had to ask the sushi chef for what we ordered since she had no idea, and she punched it into the register. When she said the total, my husband gave her his credit card and she charged it, but I was really surprised at the total since we only order 3 items. I asked her to repeat what our order was, and when she did, I noticed that she had added an extra order that we didn’t get. She asked the sushi chef again and he told her that I was correct, but she repeated the same question a couple more times. Finally, she agreed to cancel the previous transaction and recharge the accurate amount. But she asked us to sit back down and wait for her to figure it out. At this point, I was really upset at how terrible our experience was — we were still hungry and appalled by the service. Instead of sitting back down, we stood there and asked that she immediately resolve the issue. Instead of apologizing, she blamed the sushi chef for telling her the wrong order, which was not true because I heard their conversation. And she did not, at any point, recognize that we were patiently waiting for things to work out. I have never been treated this poorly at a restaurant before and I will not be returning to Blue Fin.

The sushi and sashimi are made with fresh, delicious fish. The woman that’s always manning the counter is so friendly and always remembers me and that I need a sashimi fix before getting on the train to head home. This is my go-to stop if I’m ever too hungry to wait until I get home.

I come for the salmon teriyaki and the happy smiles of the owner who takes your order and remembers your name. Free parking at your table when your ride a bicycle of course

Great service, we came during their busiest dinner hour and were still served promptly. We asked for hot green tea before the meal, and it was delicious! Everyone in our family enjoyed what they ordered and had generous portions. We will definitely be coming back whenever we need a seafood or sushi fix.

They managed to mess up miso soup, they neglected to put dashi in it. They were extremely confused when I pointed this out. Then they said I should try their authentic Japanese Ramen soup, if they can’t get miso soup right I don’t want to think how a more complex dish would out. I guess next time I actually want Japanese food I will have to Mountain View or San Mateo.

This is so hard for me to write, because this is a place I wanted to love. But on February tenth of this year, my friend and I had a dangerous experience at Blue Fin Sushi. My friend has a very severe food allergy. She discloses this information to every food worker at every food establishment, every time, and asks(and re-asks) about cross-contamination before even considering eating somewhere. We did this standard procedure before our meal, as we have done there on past visits. The server assured us before ordering that there would be no cross-contamination, and no allergens in the food. We checked again as the food was delivered: again, all assurances were made by the server, and since we have eaten here before without incident, she and I had no reason to stress. However, the chef made a mistake, using the wrong version of an ingredient. My friend had already eaten several pieces when the server ran over to the table to share the very bad news that my friend had just ingested the allergen. They were gracious with us, apologetic, but the damage was done. My friend subsequently spent a week in the hospital and required surgeries. Plural. On the upside, they are a mega energetic and friendly staff. The counter worker usually brings over complementary edamame. Their miso soup is mild and tasty. Their elaborate Victoria’s Secret roll takes a LOT of work to make. Lunch for three costs an average of $ 55. For my friend(or her health insurance), however, lunch cost upwards of two hundred thousand dollars.

I love this place and I am very picky about asian food. It tastes like home cooked simple food which I love — its comfort food for me but still healthy. Love the Mom & Pop feel and food is just simple and awesome. Love the salmon sashimi too! I always order the pork katsu or chicken teriyaki

Small restaurant with few tables but super friendly people. I typically order the chicken teriyaki(with skin) lunch special with the croquette. The skin makes it crispy and adds a «just off the grill» taste. I’d suggest asking for sauce on the side because sometimes it’s too much. The salmon & beef teriyaki are good as well. They make the orders as they come in and takes a little while so I’d suggest calling your order ahead if you’re taking to-go.

Really friendly lady at the counter. Came in for some take out. When you order off the dinner menu you also get 3 slices of salmon sashimi, salad, and edamame. I got tempura and chicken teriyaki and my husband ordered the pork katsu and CA roll. We both liked our food and were full when we finished our meals. It was completely empty when we walked in. While we were waiting another man walked in and he seemed like a regular by the way he and the lady greeted each other. It was strange that it was so empty though because the food is good and the service is friendly.

This place very quickly became a darling favorite of mine. This is one mom’n’pop joint you need to visit. Walk in and yell, «HI, YENI!» and you’ll see what I mean. The food is just delicious. The chicken katsu, beef teriyaki and the California rolls are just AWESOME. Do this: walk in, say hi to Yeni and request one order of California rolls. So, sooo good. The kind of food that makes you hungrier as you eat it. The service is excellent. Yeni is always there, always very attentive and incredibly hospitable. She often treats me to extra samplings of things — like little yummy beans and things — while I wait. Love this place

Always a friendly staff. I’m in and out within my allotted 1 hour meal break time. The place stays clean and fresh. Everything I’ve eaten here has been cooked to order and fresh. The sushi and sashimi pieces are huge and the rolls are done with care, patience and love.

This place is close to work and I find myself here once a week or so… The service is always friendly… and after you go a few times, the staff remembers your name and treats you great! I love the plain olé’ grilled salmon… served with rice, miso soup and a salad… all for about 11 bucks… Fresh, delicious and if you skip the rice, really healthy. I can’t explain the bad reviews here… I’ve never experienced anything like these people are writing about.

Either I went when Blue Fin was having a great night, or we’re just becoming a bunch of trivial whiners as a society. So many 1– and 2-star ratings? Really?! I ordered a sushi platter(which I can not remember the name of), a California roll, and a Coca-Cola. After the tip, because the service was outstanding(friendly and efficient), I was glad to dole over the almost $ 25. Speaking of friendly, they’re warm and accommodating, but not in-your-face«gabby» and thereby keeping you from eating your meal. Next time I’m in RWC, I’ll be back. I felt very welcome.

If you’re a teriyaki lover, then you should come here. It’s by no means a sushi restaurant with teriyaki on the side; teriyaki is actually their focus and what they make best. It’s fast, cheap, and decent. I do think they have room for improvement with how the chicken is prepared/cooked(dried bits, not too tender) but the homemade teriyaki sauce is right on point. For lunch, you can get a combo with CA rolls, gyoza, eggrolls, etc. It’s a lot of food and it’s all for about $ 7!
